Popular dance reality show Super Dancer is making a much-awaited return to television after a four-year break. The new season will premiere on July 19 and air every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM. People can expect 12 amazingly gifted young dancers from all over the country to light up the stage with their love for dance. But this time, the show is not just about dancing talent—it is reportedly also about celebrating the people who helped make it possible: the mothers of the contestants.
These mothers have supported their children through every stage, from discovering their dancing abilities to helping them grow and chase their dreams. As per reports, the new season will highlight their emotional journeys, sacrifices and dedication.
Meanwhile, Judge Shilpa Shetty, who returns to the panel, expressed her enthusiasm for this fresh focus. As quoted by The Times of India, she said, 'It's rare for a reality show to highlight anything beyond the contestants' journey on stage. This season, Super Dancer will showcase the inspiring journeys of contestants' mothers."
'Being a mother myself, I've come to appreciate that even while embracing the beautiful roles of a wife, daughter, and a sister, motherhood takes precedence, and we always hold our children at the very centre of our hearts and lives. We often applaud the kids, but their mothers deserve an equal share of that applause. On behalf of all the kids, I want to thank every mother out there, kyon ki maa hi hoti hain bacchon ki safalta ke peeche ka asli sitara," she added.

According to Mid-Day, Shilpa Shetty returns as a beloved judge on Super Dancer, joined by Geeta Kapur and new judge Marzi Pestonji, who replaces Anurag Basu this season. While Rithvik Dhanjani won't be hosting, fan-favorite Paritosh Tripathi, known as Mamaji, will return, bringing back his fun banter with Shilpa that audiences love.

Speaking in the heart of Pen — a small town that has, for generations, given life to millions of Ganesha idols adorning homes and pandals across the country — Shelar's message struck a deeply personal chord with the community of sculptors whose livelihoods are entwined with this beloved festival. Addressing a packed gathering of artisans, local leaders, and residents at Tambadshet, of Raigad district, which is also known as hub of artisans, Shelar did not mince words. 'There has been a systematic attempt to undermine our festivals like Ganeshotsav, Dahi Handi and Nagpanchami under the guise of environmental concerns. But behind this is a deliberate conspiracy by urban Naxal elements with backing from Congress, the NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) and the Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena," Shelar said, receiving thunderous applause from idol makers who see their craft as a sacred tradition. Shelar recalled how the ban on Plaster of Paris (POP) idols, which once threatened to choke the local economy of places like Pen, was part of this larger narrative. 'Had we not stood firm, thousands of idol makers would have been left without work. Our Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ji and I fought this battle shoulder to shoulder — in the courts, on the streets and with the people — and we won," he said, promising continued protection of age-old practices. For many sculptors in attendance, Shelar's announcement that Ganeshotsav will now be officially celebrated as Maharashtra's State Festival felt like justice served. 'This festival feeds our families, binds our communities and keeps our traditions alive. Today we feel seen," said Abhay Mhatre, President of the Maharashtra Ganesh Sculptors' Association. On Saturday evening, the Dibrugarh Police apprehended the man behind this false identity. The accused has been identified as Pritam Bora, the former partner of the woman whose photo was used.
