Two roads in south Essex village to shut for 24 days next month (and more notices)
Spa Road will shut from its junction with Main Road to Bramerton Road, while Woodlands Road is also closing from Main Road, on August 11.
The roads will be closed for 24 days while Cadent carries out mains replacement works.
Drivers will be diverted via Spa Road, Station Road, Great Eastern Road, Southend Road and vice versa, and Woodlands Road, Kilnwood Avenue, Hockley Rise, Southend Road and vice versa.
In Rochford, drivers will be unable to wait, load or stop on Oxford Road for four days next month.
The clearway, from the road's junction with Ashingdon Road, is required while Portakabin facilitates HGV's deliveries.
It will be in place from August 12.
A road in Rawreth is also closing for two nights in August while bridge inspection works are carried out.
For the Essex County Council works to take place, Chelmsford Road will be shut from Beeches Road between 9pm and 5am from August 4.
An alternative route is available via Chelmsford Road, A1245, Hawk Hill and vice versa.
Another village road is closing for works to take place next week.
Church Road, in Ramsden Heath, will shut off from its junction with Short Lane to De Beauvoir Chase on July 28.
This closure will be in place for five days while new installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
Drivers will be diverted via London Road, Castledon Road, School Road, and Downham Road.
Plans have been unveiled to transform a disused fishery into new homes.
A planning application has been submitted to Rochford Council to demolish the disused fishery at the former shellfish packing station in Fambridge Road, in South Fambridge, for five new three-bed homes.
Anyone who wishes to comment on the plans should make a representation to the council by writing to Head of Planning Services at Council Offices, South Street, Rochford, Essex SS4 1BW, or via the website at rochford.gov.uk, by August 7.

The northbound side of the Zilwaukee Bridge will be closed starting Aug. 4. Here's what to know.
The northbound side of the Zilwaukee Bridge in Saginaw County, Michigan, will be closed for around three months starting Monday for preventative maintenance work. According to the Michigan Department of Transportation, the closure impacts the northbound lanes of Interstate 75, which includes the bridge, from Kochville Road to Wadsworth Road. Work on the bridge includes joint repairs, deck patching and resealing. MDOT says the closure is expected to end on Nov. 14. During the shutdown: Northbound I-75 will be closed and detoured to northbound Interstate 675 from the I-75/I-675 interchange south of Wadsworth Road to the northbound I-675 junction north of Kochville Road. The westbound Michigan Highway 81 ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed. Traffic will be detoured using southbound I-75 to reach northbound I-675 near Wadsworth Road. Both the southbound and northbound ramps from Michigan Highway 13 to northbound I-75 will be closed. Traffic for the southbound M-13 ramp to northbound I-75 will be detoured using southbound I-75 to reach northbound I-675. Traffic for the I-75 ramp to northbound M-13 will be detoured using westbound M-81 to reach westbound M-13. The southbound I-675 ramp to northbound I-75 will be closed. Traffic will be detoured using southbound I-675 and Michigan Highway 46 to reach northbound I-75. State officials say the $2.9 million project will improve and extend the life of the bridge. Work on the southbound side was completed earlier this year.

A11 closed after serious crash involving seven vehicles
The A11 by Wymondham remains closed nearly five hours after a serious crash. The road between the B1172 Spooner Row exit and the B1135 exit for Wymondham has been closed since 2.30am this morning. National Highways is reporting that seven vehicles were involved in the serious collision. A vehicle crossing the central reservation caused significant barrier damage. Traffic monitoring site AA reports that the crash involved six cars and a lorry. Norfolk Police are on the scene and traffic is being diverted via local roads. Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service sent crews from Wymondham, Attleborough, Carrow and Earlham to help make the scene safe. Injuries are not yet known.

Part of Route 309 in Upper Bucks County to close for a week; see dates and affected area
Part of Route 309 in Upper Bucks County will be shut down Aug. 4 to Aug. 8. PennDOT announced. The infrastructure agency said that part of Route 309 will be shut down in the Quakertown area. The road is closing for a pipe replacement, PennDOT said. The closure will extend from Broad Street to Sunshine Drive. Drivers will be encouraged to use California Road, Broad Street and Pumping Station Road.
