Both the Anil Ambani-led group's companies said they, including their officials, would continue to fully cooperate with the ED. They said that the said action had no impact on their business operations.
RInfra said, 'Action by ED has no impact on the business operations, financial performance, shareholders, employees, or any other stakeholders of the company. The same appears to pertain to allegations concerning transactions of Reliance Communications Limited (RCOM) or Reliance Home Finance Limited (RHFL), which are over 10 years old. Reliance Infrastructure is a separate and independent listed entity with no business or financial linkage to RCOM or RHFL.'
'RCOM is undergoing Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process as per the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, since over six years,' it said.
RPower also said the same, adding that the company continued to operate in its normal course and that the said action had no impact on its business operations.
The ED began searching multiple premises linked to the group on Thursday (July 24, 2025) over alleged money laundering and financial irregularities, running into crores of rupees, and the searches continued for the third day on Saturday (July 27, 2025).

NEW DELHI: The BJP flayed Rahul Gandhi on Thursday for "echoing" US President Donald Trump's "dead economy" jibe at India, calling it a "shameful" insult to the aspirations, achievements and well-being of the people of the country as it asked the Congress leader why he "repeats" foreign propaganda that undermines the country. This came after Gandhi said everyone except Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman knows that the Indian economy is "dead", as he accused the BJP-led government of destroying the country's economic, defence and foreign policies. Trump has mounted a sharp attack on India and Russia over their close ties and said the two countries can take their "dead economies down together". The US president's fresh criticism of New Delhi and Moscow came hours after announcing a 25-per cent tariff against India, plus a "penalty" for its trade with Russia. Reacting sharply to the Congress leader's remarks, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) IT department head Amit Malviya said in a post on X: "Rahul Gandhi has hit a new low by echoing 'dead economy' jibe -- a shameful insult to the aspirations, achievements, and well-being of the Indian people." "But let's be honest -- the only thing truly 'dead' here is Rahul Gandhi's own political credibility and legacy," he added. Citing data showing growth in various sectors, the BJP leader said, "This is not a dead economy. This is a surging, resilient India." Even amidst a global slowdown, India remains the world's fastest-growing major economy, with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank revising their growth projections for the country upwards, he said. Malviya alleged that Gandhi's "constant attempts" to belittle India's economic rise are not mere "political jabs". They are "direct insults" to the 140 crore Indians working hard to build a better future, he charged. "Who is Rahul Gandhi really speaking for? Why does he repeat foreign propaganda that undermines India?" Malviya asked. "It's time to call out the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty's deep-rooted inferiority complex, which has for decades kept India chained to low ambition and foreign appeasement," he said, adding, "No more. New India believes in itself -- even if Rahul Gandhi never will." BJP MP Anurag Thakur said making anti-India statements has become Gandhi's "mentality". Lt Col Shrikant Prasad Purohit, who was among those acquitted in the Malegaon blast case, on Thursday alleged that he was wrongly framed by people who are in power, apparently referring to the Congress-led UPA regime. In an interview with CNN-News18, Purohit said no one should go through an ordeal like his after years of trial. 'When the wrong people are in power, they misuse it. Because of that misuse, entire institutions get tarnished. The institutions themselves are not bad. I am talking about investigating agencies — wrong people were in charge, and they misused their power," he said. Purohit, who was reinstated in the Army pending trial, said the truth has finally come out. 'I am very happy today. No one should have to go through an ordeal like this. No one should be framed like this. This weakens our own country. We are a fantastic nation, a fantastic democracy. Since the very first day, we were saying the same thing. We never changed our stand. I had given the truth in writing on 24th November 2008 — and that is exactly what has come out today," he added. A special court in Mumbai on Thursday acquitted all seven accused, including Purohit and former BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur, nearly 17 years after a blast in Malegaon town of north Maharashtra claimed six lives. The court noted that there was 'no reliable and cogent evidence" against them. Terrorism has no religion, the court said, adding it cannot convict on mere perception. An explosive device strapped to a motorcycle went off near a mosque in Malegaon town, located about 200 km from Mumbai, on September 29, 2008, killing six people and injuring 101 others. Purohit had allegedly sourced RDX from Jammu and Kashmir and assembled the bomb at his residence, Hindustan Times reported. However, the NIA court said there is no evidence of storing or assembling the explosives in Shrikant Prasad Purohit's residence. 'No sketch of the spot was done by the investigation officer while doing the panchnama. No fingerprint, dump data or anything else was collected for the spot. The samples were contaminated, so the reports can't be conclusive and are not reliable. The bike allegedly involved in the blast did not have a clear chassis number. Congress MP gives adjournment motion notice in LS over US tariffs on Indian exports
New Delhi, July 31 (UNI) Congress MP Manickam Tagore has submitted adjournment notice in the Lok Sabha today to discuss the govt's failure in preventing the imposition of 25 per cent tariffs and additional penalties by the United States on Indian exports. Opposition MPs have started targeting the Modi-led NDA government a day after US announced 25 per cent tariffs on imports from India starting from Friday. In the notice, Tagore termed the situation an 'economic and diplomatic failure,' stating that these measures will severely impact some of India's most competitive and employment-intensive export sectors, including automobiles and auto components, steel and aluminium, electronics and smartphones, solar modules, pharmaceuticals, marine products, processed food, agriculture, and gems and jewellery. The motion highlights that the US administration has cited India's 'non-tariff barriers' and 'unfair trade practices' as the premise for the action. India's trade surplus with the US was USD 45.7 billion in 2024. Tagore also expressed his concern regarding economic fallout, especially in MSME belts, where the impact could lead to production disruption, order cancellations, job losses, and long-term damage to India's export reputation. He estimated that 6-8 lakh MSMEs could directly or indirectly be affected, putting 40-50 lakh jobs at risk across sectors (15-20 lakh workers in automobiles, 20 in gems and jewellery, over 10 lakh in marine products, processed foods, and agriculture). The notice also criticised the government for its silence on India's recent trade proximity with Russia that may have contributed to the US action, and said that no statement has been placed before parliament by either the Prime Minister or the concerned ministers (Minister of External Affairs, Commerce). 'The lack of strategic communication and transparency on foreign alignment is a serious concern,' the MP said, also adding that Parliament had not been taken into confidence despite the gravity of the situation. The adjournment motion seeks to initiate an urgent discussion in the House on the government's handling of the issue, its impact on trade and employment, lack of transparency, and the need for corrective diplomatic measures and MSME support.
