In a heartfelt Instagram story, Sheetal recounted the series of events that led to a last-minute cancellation of the ride. 'My heart goes out to all the families who lost their loved ones," she wrote. 'What's even more shocking is me and my family were supposed to be on that same helicopter, on the same day."
The actress explained that everything was planned for the spiritual journey to Kedarnath, but her mother's sudden illness forced them to cancel. 'At the time, I was disappointed… now, I believe it was nothing short of divine intervention. That twist of fate saved our lives," she said, reflecting on the fragility of life. 'Being alive is the biggest blessing."
The ill-fated chopper crashed in the forests of Gauri Mai Khark between Gaurikund and Triyuginarayan due to poor weather conditions. The tragic accident, reported around 5:30 am, has shaken many devotees and citizens across the country.
Sheetal, who received recognition for her role in Taali, a show based on the life of transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant, has also featured in popular series like Jai Chhathi Maa and Mirzapur.
