MP CM orders suspension of 7 engineers for faulty Aishbagh RoB
A departmental probe has been ordered against a retired superintending engineer (SE).
The RoB came into limelight after it was found that it has a sharp 90 degree turn which poses a great risk to commuters.
Yadav stated on social media, "Serious negligence was observed in the construction of the Aishbagh ROB, and I had ordered an investigation into the matter. Based on the investigation report, action has been taken against eight engineers from the PWD.
Seven engineers, including two CEs, have been suspended with immediate effect. A departmental inquiry will be conducted against a retired SE."
Due to the faulty design of the ROB, both the construction agency and the design consultant have been blacklisted.
A committee has been formed to address the necessary improvements in the ROB and it will be inaugurated only after rectification of the design flaw, the CM wrote on social media.

Sources privy to the entire issue said that the committee had submitted its report to the PWD minister in which it recommended giving a curve ahead of the 90-degree turn on the ROB so as to give time and space to the commuters to slow down and turn their vehicles.
It has also recommended blacklisting of the company that was handed the contract for construction and pointed out to the lack of coordination between the railways and the PWD, leading to goof up in the design of the overbridge, said the sources.
PWD minister Rakesh Singh had told TOI on June 26 that in addition to suggesting corrective measures the committee would also fix the responsibility as to who prepared the DPR of the Aishbagh ROB and how it got cleared.

Stranded medico's dad says his son subjected to conflict training
Chennai: Kishore Saravanan, the stranded medical student from Russia had sent a desperate audio message to his father in Cuddalore on Thursday saying he was about to be sent to the war front on Aug 2. His father Saravanan, who met the media here on Friday, said that his son was subjected to conflict training and was being forced to consume steroids to withstand the pain. "Crying for help, my son said no one can see him alive if he was taken to the warfront on Aug 2," said an emotionally charged Saravanan. "Kishore said he was tortured, forced to consume chemicals and steroids, and given military training. He begged us to save him," Saravanan said urging the govts to act fast to rescue his son before he was sent to the warfront. Kishore Saravanan, a third-year medical student in Russia, was booked in a drug peddling case and has been taken away by the police there. Kishore claimed he was framed in the case and that Russian authorities had forcibly enlisted him in the armed forces there.
