
Hall tickets for TG CPGET-2025 released
The entrance tests are scheduled from August 4 to August 11, 2025, and will take place in three Computer-Based Test (CBT) sessions daily. A total of 44 subjects are included in the PG admission framework, covering programs such as M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., M.Lib.I.Sc., M.Ed., M.P.Ed., PG Diplomas, and 5-year Integrated courses. TG CPGET-2025 is a collaborative effort by Osmania University, in coordination with other state universities, including Kakatiya University, Telangana University, Palamuru University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Satavahana University, Veeranari Chakali Ilamma Women's University, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, and Dr. Manmohan Singh Earth Sciences University.
Prof. I. Panduranga Reddy, the Convener of TG CPGET-2025 and Director of Admissions at Osmania University, urged candidates to check their test centre locations in advance and arrive at least 90 minutes before the examination begins. He emphasised the importance of adhering to the test schedules. The candidates are advised to come prepared with a valid photo ID and a printed hall ticket.
The university has arranged multiple centres across Telangana to ensure the smooth conduct of online examinations. Instructions about test day protocol—including identification requirements, reporting times, and CBT format guidelines—are available on the candidate hall tickets and respective university portals.

SSC Issues Major Update On Exam Centre Distance For Stenographer Exam 2025
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued a major update regarding the city of examination and admission certificates for the Stenographers Grade 'C' and 'D' Examination 2025. The computer-based tests are scheduled to take place from August 6 to 8 at 157 centres across 85 cities in India. Over 3.5 lakh candidates have registered for the exam. Of these, around 79 per cent have been allotted exam centres from among their first three preferences, as selected during the application process. The remaining candidates have been assigned centres in nearby locations, with the average distance between the candidates' residential addresses and their assigned cities being approximately 220 kilometres. Candidates can check their allotted examination city by logging into the SSC website, using the designated module. The Commission has also informed that the admission certificate will be retained by SSC during the examination. Candidates are therefore advised to download and keep a copy of their admit card for future reference.

The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the Non-Ministerial (Technical) Examination-2025. Dasara: Elephants and staff insured for ₹2 crore
The elephants for Mysuru Dasara-2025, their mahouts, and kavadis have been insured for a sum of ₹2 crore. The Forest Department officials and the staff, who are associated with the management and training of elephants, are also covered under the insurance, in addition to all 14 elephants that are going to be part of the Dasara festivities, which will commence in September. In total, 43 have been given the insurance cover. Confirming this to The Hindu, Deputy Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) Prabhu Gowda said, 'A premium of ₹67,000 has been paid towards the insurance cover, which has been given by The New India Assurance Company Limited. The insurance policy provides coverage for damages to public as well as private properties.' Mr. Gowda said all nine elephants led by Abhimanyu arrived in the city on Monday around 6 p.m., and are camping at the Aranya Bhavan here. Earlier in the day, the Gajapayana of the elephants was held at Veeranahosahalli, and the jumbos were transported in trucks to Mysuru after a grand event.
