Ex-Star Wars Battlefront II Dev has an 5-6-Year Plan on How to Get BF3 Made
Ever since the Andor finale, there has been an interesting thing happening with Star Wars Battlefront II in that fans have been making an online campaign for someone, anyone to #MakeBattlefront3. While some fans think that it could be a long shot, a former developer actually has an idea on how they can realistically build-up to a Battlefront 3 with minimal risk and the right development team.
As pointed out by @A7ZATRU, someone on the Battlefront II subreddit claiming to be a former dev has pitched that they don't make a Star Wars Battlefront 3 immediately, but instead release a remastered version of Battlefront II instead.
A former Star Wars Battlefront 2 developer has shared a plan for Battlefront 3 and success.
– Remaster BF2 with improvements for PS6/next Xbox in 2027/28,
– If it does well, make BF3 using knowledge from it.
Also, some of the devs WANT to come back! pic.twitter.com/eULPe4F8Qy

They write:
'Hear me out — no Battlefront 3 right now, but Battlefront 2 remaster for whatever future console is arriving in 2027-2028.
Dev time is around 2-3 years. There is a laundry list of improvements that this game could get in my opinion, and getting it updated was always on our wishlist.
Once that is a success, then start work on 3. You have a team familiar with engine, assets, and really could kick of developing a 3 within a much shorter time span, and working on feedback from a fresh Battlefront 2 audience base.
This would be a 5-6 year plan, but it's more likely to be a success.'
Judging by the success of remasters like the recently released Oblivion , it would make sense for Star Wars Battlefront II to get the upgrade treatment. After all, Lucasfilm Games has been focusing on a lot of remasters of older titles (like the original Battlefront II ), and with the recent surge of Battlefront II , it would be a worth a shot to see how viable a new BF project would be.
I mean, if Naughty Dog can re-release The Last of Us a million times, EA DICE can stand to make some money off a game that still gets a lot of positive buzz from fans and the community.
With Battlefront II also covering three Star Wars eras, there's a lot of room for expansions based on new shows like Skeleton Crew, The Mandalorian , and the recently applauded Andor .
We don't know what Lucasfilm Games wants to do now, but a lot are trying to make as much noise as they can about Battlefront 3 while the game has this new momentum.

People were expecting Netflix's K-Pop Demon Hunters to have some bops in the soundtrack, and it looks like the movie is definitely delivering on the music front as well. According to @chartsdata, the soundtrack for K-Pop Demon Hunters , the past weekend has earned the album the position of No. 1 on US iTunes, and what's more, the album also got 8.5 million streams on Spotify following the release day. 'KPop Demon Hunters' soundtrack earned its biggest streaming day of all-time on Spotify on June 22 with 8.5 million streams. Its up 500% vs release day. — chart data (@chartdata) June 23, 2025 As it turns out, it actually took a huge team to bring the Huntrix to life on the big screen. Besides the original songs being written by several writers including Danny Chung, IDO, EJAE, Vince, Jenna Andrews, and more; the movie also brought in new singers to record the original songs including EJAE (Rumi), Audrey Nuna (Mira), and Rei Ami (Zoey). We don't know how long the KPDH train is going to run yet, but the movie is currently No. 1 on Netflix, and a lot of people online have been gushing about how it celebrates everything that fans love about K-Pop from the band members having specific personalities to them going on game shows and having fan meets. No sequel has been announced for K-Pop Demon Hunters yet, but the ending does leave fans hopeful for a follow-up, especially with the billboard of Huntrix saying they have a new song/album called Comeback. Some are even hoping that the girls actually get to go on a world tour this time, and maybe they can find Hunters from every other nation—pretty much like what happened with Trolls World Tour . Latest Trailer for Weapons Proves It's The Most Anticipated Horror Movie of the Year
Zach Cregger took everyone by surprise with Barbarian , and before he gets to go mainstream with his reboot of Resident Evil , he has one movie he's working on that has horror fans excited. Weapons is set to come to cinemas this August, and we have a disturbing new trailer for this mystery horror film. Check it out: Though the premise itself was interesting, everyone is excited by the top talent that the movie was able to gather including the likes of Josh Brolin, Benedict Wong, Julia Garner, and Alden Ehrenreich. We don't know what the movie is about exactly, but some are speculating that with the title Weapons and children being the focal point of the story; the film could be looking to say something about school shootings or violence being instilled in young children. Admittedly, Netflix's Adolesence kind of tackled the 'mysogny growing in young males' problem already, but it's going to be fascinating to see how Cregger is going to take on the issue with a horror lens. Then again, this is just speculation on the fans' part; and we don't know exactly what to expect with Weapons —which is what makes it so exciting. It also doesn't hurt that rumors were going around that Jordan Peele fired his agent because he wanted to direct this movie and Cregger got the job instead. Here's the official description for the movie: When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance. Watch out for Weapons when it comes to cinemas on Aug. 8.

WB Games Restructuring will Prioritize 4 Major Franchises Including Mortal Kombat and Harry Potter
It's no mystery that WB Games have been having major missteps recently, what with the cancellation of huge games like Wonder Woman and the underperformance of Mortal Kombat 1 . While rumors had been flying around that WB should just sell their gaming division, it does look like they've decided to do some major restructuring—which a lot of people in the game community think could mean great things for the brand. According to Variety, WBD has announced that they will now focus on four key franchises, namely Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat , and DC. Three studio heads have been promoted to major decision-making positions, them being WB Games Montreal studio head Yves Lachance, NethereRealm Studio head Shaun Himmerick, and WB Games New York studio chief Steven Flenory. All three have been promoted to senior vice president with Lachance handling Potter and Thrones ; Himmerick dealing with DC and Mortal Kombat; and Flenory overseeing 'game and publishing technology, customer service, quality assurance, and user research.' With WB Games recently getting flak for poor management, a lot of people in the community think that the promotion of Lachance, Himmerick, and Flenory is a great choice since all have been in the industry for a long time, and they have a better handle at the game development process—which should allow them to make better decisions from up top. The news of the restructuring follows the announcement that heads like David Zaslav will be taking huge paycuts based on the performance of the WB brand since he took over. What's great news is that no layoffs have been made, and it's said that mostly the executives were the one to take the blow here. We don't know what the future holds for WB Games now, but hopefully the restructuring will lead to less games getting cancelled and more hits coming out under the WB banner.
