Cairo - SABA: Egyptian football club Zamalek officially announced Friday the signing of Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira as their new head coach for the upcoming season, replacing interim coach Ayman El-Ramady. The appointment followed negotiations led by Zamalek's sporting director John Edward in coordination with the club's board of directors, with Ferreira selected from among several candidates for the position. Leverkusen signs defender Jarrell Quansah from Liverpool
Düsseldorf - Saba: Bayer Leverkusen announced on Wednesday the signing of Liverpool defender Jarrell Quansah for £35 million ($47.9 million). The German club will pay a £30 million deposit for the 22-year-old, who started last season alongside Virgil van Dijk against Ipswich but was substituted at halftime and has not regained his starting place. The British news agency (PA Media) reported that Liverpool included a buy-back clause in the deal for Quansah, who joined the club when he was five years old. A statement on Liverpool's official website read: "Jarrell Quansah has completed his transfer from Liverpool to Bayer Leverkusen."
