Timothy Weah's Marseille move back on
Despite negotiations seemingly at a standstill for a time, Olympique de Marseille aren't giving up their pursuit of Timothy Weah (25). The Juventus winger has been linked to a return to Ligue 1 from Italy, despite a recent impasse. Juventus general director Damien Comolli recently said that the Marseille offer for the 25-year-old American was 'not adequate.' New reports on Friday evening, though, suggest that a deal between the two clubs for the American international may be back on the table after confusion over the initial €13 m offer. Fresh negotiations have been taking place, according to . reported on Friday that the highest bid Marseille are willing to go on Weah is €15m, and they will not budge on that. Weah appears to want to leave Juventus and return to France, where he helped Lille OSC win the Ligue 1 title in the 2020-21 campaign. He has netted a mere five goals in two Serie A campaigns for Juve. While a move back to France seems to be what Weah wants, he's still under contract with Juventus until 2028. Before winning the Ligue 1 title at Lille, Weah won that crown twice as a member of Paris Saint-Germain before a loan spell in Scotland with Celtic and then coming back to Ligue 1 with Les Dogues. Along with three Ligue 1 crowns to his name, Weah has also captured the Trophée des champions with both PSG and Lille and won three CONCACAF Nations League trophies with the US national team. Barcelona eye €30m sale to seal Marcus Rashford's registration
Barcelona are still working to ensure Marcus Rashford's registration with La Liga for the incoming 2025/26 season. La Blaugrana secured a season-long loan agreement with Manchester United last month as Rashford joined their preseason tour. The England international will stay in Catalonia for the 2025/26 season with Barcelona holding a £40m purchase clause on him in 2026. Rashford has impressed in two cameo appearances and the goal now is to ensure he is ready for the La Liga opener against Mallorca on August 16. Barcelona are working within a tight financial situation, with the plan to register Joan Garcia on the back of Marc-Andre ter Stegen's injury, and Marc Casado could be sold to facilitate Rashford. Barcelona could activate 'Casado lever' Casado was a vital player in the early weeks of Flick's first season, but injury disrupted his progression, and the picture has now changed. Flick is still in favour of retaining Casado, but the financial practicalities of pushing for La Liga's 1:1 transfer rule, make a sale tempting. Image via Getty Images That remains the goal, and selling a homegrown player would be a major tick in the box for Barcelona, if they can find a buyer for the 21-year-old midfielder. As per reports from Diario AS, Barcelona value him at €30m, and Flick is rumoured to prefer the fit-again Marc Bernal as an option to rotate with Frenkie de Jong at the base of Barcelona's midfield. Casado is not actively looking to leave, despite his likely reduced role in Catalonia, and reported interest from the Premier League has not developed into a formal offer at this stage. The club view the money brought in via sales and the salary saved as crucial to getting Rashford's paperwork completed – but that could mean looking to a La Liga solution over Casado – and a possible loan exit for 2025/26.

Report – Inter Milan Monitoring Genoa Midfielder
Inter Milan are reportedly monitoring Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup as a target for the last month of the transfer window. This according to Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that for now the Nerazzurri are just exploring the possibility of signing the Dane, and haven't taken any real steps. Inter Milan have been keeping tabs on Genoa midfielder Morten Frendrup for some time. The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the outstanding midfielders in the Serie A midtable. Particularly in terms of his defensive contributions. And that may be exactly what Inter want in their own midfield. Reportedly, Nerazzurri coach Cristian Chivu wants to switch to a 3-4-2-1 formation. And that will mean asking more from the holding midfielders in terms of legs and physicality. Furthermore, Sky Sport Italia confirm that Inter really are interested in the Denmark international. However, for now it is just an internal consideration for the Nerazzurri. Sky report that the Nerazzurri have not made any concrete moves for Frendrup yet. Presumably, they would need to make some sales in midfield first.
