Wimbledon 2025: We're Already Obsessed With The Unpredictable Mix Of Celebrity Guests This Year

Yahoo2 days ago
If there's one thing we enjoy when Wimbledon rolls around every year, it's seeing the completely random collection of celebrities gathered in the stands.
What… did you think we were going to say the tennis? As if.
This year's tournament is officially underway, and we're happy to report that the combination of celebrity spectators is already as unpredictable as ever.
Fresh from her headlining slot at Glastonbury over the weekend, Olivia Rodrigo was spotted watching a match on Wednesday with her boyfriend Louis Partridge, with whom she was seen sharing a smooch in the Royal Box.
Seated in front of her was a very smartly-dressed Tom Daley, while off to her left was the former WWE star turned actor, John Cena.
Just along from the gold medal-winning diver, meanwhile, was the England squad's newly-appointed manager Thomas Tuchel, joined by his predecessor Roy Hodgson.
And as if the Royal Box wasn't chaotically star-studded enough, Wednesday's event also brought out Dave Grohl and his wife Jordyn, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra (who were seated next to Mamma Mia! star Dominic Cooper), Keane frontman Tom Chaplin and rom-com star Leslie Mann.
Earlier in the week, the tennis brought yet more stars to the side of the court, with Russell Crowe, Sarah Lancashire, Cate Blanchett and Rebel Wilson among those in attendance, a day after the newly-appointed Sir David Beckham watched with the likes of Sir Gareth Southgate, Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne and The Saturdays star Mollie King.
Monday's guests also included royals like Kate Middleton, with her daughter Princess Charlotte; as well as Princess Beatrice, in attendance with her mum, Sarah Ferguson.
All we can say is… please keep these random celebrity Wimbledon guests coming. We won't be satisfied until we're watching Dame Judi Dench tucking into some strawberries and cream with Ainsley Harriott, Kym Marsh and Mr Blobby.

'But I can tell you the goal with SummerSlam is if people felt a certain way about WrestleMania, I will put that all on my back and take all the credit and responsibility for perhaps not feeling satisfied. (Video): Chelsea's double deflected goal which gives Blues lead in quarter final

Chelsea are back ahead in the Club World Cup quarter final, and are now just a few minutes from the semis! It's come from a Malo Gusto cross after the full back found himself high up the pitch after a corner and their opposition failed to push up quickly enough. Advertisement Palmeiras got a huge slice of luck when Robert Sanchez let Estevao Willian's shot in over his head at the near post to level the game. Now it was Chelsea's turn to get some luck. Weverton was caught out by the deflection that the ball took off a defender, and the keeper totally failed to react to the change in direction. He froze, the ball clipped him and went in. You've got to feel a little for the Brazilians here – this meant so much to them, and it was a sad way to go out. You can see the goal in the clip embedded here: [Footage from DAZN] Chelsea face major semi challenges after injuries and suspensions Malo Gusto celebrates a quarter final goal. (Photo by) Advertisement It was another pretty impressive gritty win from Chelsea, who certainly had a wobble when Palmeiras scored in the second half. The goal was not the prettiest, but it got the job done. They had looked really impressive earlier in the game, even without Moises Caicedo. But they couldn't sustain that level for 90 minutes. Once again, there's a strong sense that bad goalkeeping was a serious factor here. Liam Delap and Levi Colwill picking up yellow cards to create suspensions for the semi, plus unknown injuries to Reece James and Benoit Badiashile make things very interesting against Fluminense indeed. Tonight is about celebrating, but there will be a lot of thinking for Enzo Maresca to do in the next few days
