After the autopsy, police officials revealed that the cause of death has been 'reserved'. From Mika Singh, Sunidhi Chauhan to her Bigg Boss 13 co-participants Shehnaaz Gill, Mahira Sharma, Paras Chhabra, Hindustani Bhau, Arti Singh and Rashami Desai — many expressed shock and also paid their last respects at her funeral on Saturday. Shefali Jariwala's demise: Police record post-mortem video, take statements from 14 people; initial cause linked to low BP
The Bollywood and TV world is in shock after the sudden demise of Shefali Jariwala. The 42-year-old actress and model, famous for 'Kaanta Laga' and 'Bigg Boss 13', passed away at her home in Mumbai's Oshiwara on Friday. The news has left her family, friends and fans heartbroken. Meanwhile, the police have stepped up their investigation to find out what really happened. Post-mortem video recorded As per a report by NDTV, Shefali's post-mortem was conducted at Cooper Hospital. Officials confirmed that the post-mortem was video-recorded. Officials also shared that 'the post-mortem report is being prepared by a team of 5 doctors.' Its preliminary report is likely to come today. 14 people questioned, CCTV footage collected The police are leaving no gap in their probe. They have already recorded statements from 14 people. These include her family members, domestic staff, and close friends who often met Shefali. This will help them build a clear timeline of her last days. The same report mentioned, 'The police have also recorded the statement of the pharmacist of the medical store from where Shefali and her family used to procure medicines.' Along with this, police have taken seven samples of CCTV footage from around her building. They are now going through these videos to check who visited Shefali's home and if anything unusual was caught on camera. Early medical findings hint at natural causes As per the findings from the first medical checks, the report further said, 'Shefali's death is said to have been due to low blood pressure, cardiac arrest and heavy gastric condition.' Her husband Parag Tyagi was seen breaking down at the funeral and later told the media and her fans to pray for her.
