Two men have been found dead inside a unit on the Sunshine Coast, with police appealing to the public for assistance in their investigation.
Emergency services were called to the Kingsford Smith Parade housing complex in Maroochydore at about 11.20am on Friday, after concerns were raised for their welfare.
Officers located the bodies of two men inside.
It is understood the 65-year-old Maroochydore man lived at the property, and the 56-year-old man from Mountain Creek was a regular visitor.
The unit has been declared a crime scene.
Forensic officers and detectives remained at the complex on Saturday morning as investigations into the circumstances of the deaths continued.
The exact cause of death is unknown, and police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Authorities are now urging anyone with information or relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from the area around the time of the incident to come forward to assist with the investigation.
Jacob Arthur Amos told the Sunshine Coast Daily he had tried to check in on his 'good mate' on Saturday morning.
'He wasn't answering his door, and now we know why,' he said.
