A rental listing has sparked outrage online after claiming to have 'stunning ocean views' – despite the property being more than 10 kilometres from the nearest beach. The listing drew widespread ridicule after images of it circulated on social media, with users questioning if the image was in fact photoshopped. They have claimed the image features a mural of the beach that was painted outside the unit, and not in fact actual beach views. After 10 News Australia shared the story on their TikTok, they were inundated with comments from users agitated by the seemingly false advertising. 'Yep very believable,' one user laughed. 'Wohoooo when did we get a new beach around the corner,' another joked. '$650 A WEEK WHAT HOW,' a third penned. And we thought we had it bad….yikes!
