Katie Taylor sparks marriage speculation as she's pictured with 'wedding ring'
The legendary boxer was spotted wearing a ring on her left ring finger during the build-up to her fight with Amanda Serrano earlier this month, a bout which Taylor won to take her record against the Puerto Rican to 3-0.
Taylor has made no comments to suggest that she has tied the knot, however, it does appear that she has been wearing the ring for a number of months now, with a first sighting in April of this year as she promoted her trilogy bout with Serrano.
A notoriously private person, Taylor has only made very few comments about her romantic life in the past. In an interview with The Athletic some time ago, the 2012 Olympic champion revealed that questions about her relationship status are her least favourite.
She said: "Probably the question about relationships. That's another question people always ask. I guess people are just interested in my personal life. Katie Taylor
"I get it all the time. It's a bit annoying at times but I'm just polite and get on with it. I don't think male boxers get asked it, though."
In an interview with the Irish Mirror in 2019, Taylor went into greater detail on her romantic life.
"I'm not [seeing anyone] at the moment, I really genuinely haven't got the time," she commented at the time.
"I'm just out in America training hard at the moment but who knows what could happen in the future."
And in her 2019 documentary, she said: "Sometimes I think I'm a bit too single-minded where I only think about the next flight.

"I don't think I'd be able for that. I can hardly look after myself.
"I've definitely had opportunities where I've been in relationships with guys and stuff, but it's never really worked out.
"They just weren't the right guy, I guess. And I always felt like life was a lot easier as a single person when I am training so much. And I'm very, very happy as a single person as well, but I don't regret any decisions I've made."
Taylor returned to the ring earlier this month, turning in a dominant display as she beat Serrano by unanimous decision at Madison Square Garden in New York.
There had been speculation that the 'Bray Bomber' was set to retire after the bout, and she even hinted at hanging up her gloves in the aftermath of the contest, however, there has been no clarification on her fighting future yet.
One thing that would likely keep her going would be a fight at Croke Park. However, promoter Eddie Hearn has poured cold water on such an event happening, telling the Irish Mirror: "When you look at Croke Park, I just don't think the people there are massive fans of boxing,".
"I think they're fans of Katie Taylor, but I just don't think they really like boxing. But Katie Taylor is beyond boxing.
"I mean, she's sport, but she's also history and heritage. And probably one of the greatest ever athletes from that country. Now you see the sports minister saying, after she beat Serrano, 'yeah, we should look at bringing Katie Taylor to Croke Park'.
"We don't want handouts. We just want parity between Croke Park and Wembley Stadium in terms of the cost being the same.
"But I don't know if she'll fight again. It probably is 50-50. And it's the first time I've ever heard her say, 'if I fight again'. But I think if we could go to Croke Park, that would certainly maybe twist her arm."

Intriguing Katie Taylor claim that could have changed her boxing destiny
Pete Taylor says that his daughter Katie would not have turned pro if he had been in her corner in Rio. The pair were publicly reunited ahead of the sell-out bout at Madison Square Garden, but they had been back in contact for some time after Katie stopped working with her dad after he split from her mother. He revealed how they reunited in the gym in the States, when Katie started working towards the trilogy fight, for the first time in around a decade. "Katie said, 'will you come over and do a bit of training with me', I said I can come over at the weekend and we were training away, it was great, it was crazy it was," he recalled. "It was just like we never stopped, you've got to click with someone with pads and straight away it was working. We had a good week, and then she booked to come over to Amsterdam to train. "It messed up Serrano's head as well a bit, I think. We get on great and I think I know what she's thinking before she does half the time. "If you look back if things didn't happen the way they did with her ma, myself, relationships, she wouldn't be where she is so everything happened for the right reasons." Taylor senior had fostered Katie's talent in the boxing ring from the start, guiding her true a trailblazing amateur career that saw her win five World Championships. But their ultra-successful partnership ended in the wake of the London 2012 Olympics, when Katie won gold, after her father left home. "If she had won the gold in 2016 she wouldn't have turned pro because I would never have had her turn professional, I didn't want her to turn professional ever," he told James English's 'Anything Goes' podcast. "We were only talking about this last month when I was over there, she wouldn't have turned pro and she wouldn't be where she is now. So look, maybe it worked out right for her." There were a couple of occasions when he was coaching another boxer on the same card that Katie was fighting on, but he would leave the venue after his own boxer was finished. "It was tough," he admitted. "I don't want Katie's fights as a pro (live), I only watch the fight after I know she's won. "Twice we were on the same card as Katie, and once my lad boxed I left, I was gone. I've no control in the fight so I don't watch it. "Ross (Enamait, her coach) could be shouting something into Katie and I could shout in the opposite, it would be a head melt for him because she'd recognise my voice. "I wasn't in the corner for the third Serrano fight, I watched it at home but I only watched it after the fight was over. The first two fights I would have been saying to her, 'What are you doing, move your legs'." He did make the point to Katie in the run-up to the third showdown and it was a different kind of contest, with the Bray bomber winning comfortably after the rivals went to war in the first two clashes. "I saw her face after the first one because we Face Timed each other, and this was why I didn't want her to go into pro boxing," admitted Pete. "There's no padding, and the state of the faces afterwards, especially when it's your daughter. Even the second fight with the clash of heads, Katie's jaw was out there." Asked if he thinks she will now retire, Pete replied: "She won it so easy, is she going to retire, is she going to think, 'that was a great performance, I'm going to carry on'. Look, she'll make her own mind up. "It's very difficult, you've got to not listen to what anyone else is saying and just do what you want to do." Tragic double Olympic champion Laura Dahlmeier's body ‘to be left on the mountain' thanks to her ‘last wishes'

Krauss alerted emergency services on Monday when Dahlmeier was hit by a sudden rockfall at Laila Peak at around 18,700 feet. A search commenced the following day, when Helicopters were finaly able to reach the site, with Dahlmeier's body found on Wednesday. Following her tragic death, a statement on Dahlmeier's Instagram account confirmed her final wishes. READ MORE ON SPORT The statement read: "It was Laura's clear and written wishes that in an instance such as this, no one should risk their own lives in order to rescue her. "Her wish was that in this case her body should be left behind on the mountain. "This is also in line with the express wishes of the relatives, who have requested Laura's last wishes be respected." According to German outlet Bild, local government have been considering whether to grant Dahlmeier's request. 'YOUR STORY WILL LIVE ON' Dahlmeier won both her gold medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, She won them in the Sprint and Pursuit events while she also earned a bronze in the Individual event. Plenty of tributes have been made to Dahlmeier since news broke of her tragic death. The German Olympic Federation posted: "With heavy hearts , we bid farewell to Laura Dahlmeier. Her sudden death leaves us speechless. "She was more than an Olympic champion – she was a person with heart, conviction, and vision. Your story will live on, Laura." A touching message posted to Dahlmeier's own Instagram account read: "Farewell to a wonderful person! "Laura enriched the lives of many, including our own, with her warm and straightforward manner. "She showed us that it's worth standing up for your dreams and goals and always staying true to yourself. "We are deeply grateful, dear Laura, that we were allowed to share our lives with you. "Our shared moments and memories give us the strength and courage to continue on our path."
