Dozens of stunned sunseekers were seen sprinting across the sand as the swirling column of wind ripped umbrellas out of the ground and flung them into the air like darts.
Terrified locals and tourists clutched their bags and beach gear to their chests while desperately fleeing the chaos on Sunday.
Sand and parasols swirled high above their heads, creating a dizzying vortex over the beachfront as the tornado carved through the scene.
Incredibly, some beachgoers refused to budge — staying glued to their loungers even as the winds whipped towels and belongings across the sand.

HORROR FLOODS Spain weather hell as search called off for two swept away in floods
At least one woman suffered minor injuries, according to local reports, and required medical attention after the whirlwind struck.
But the drama was far from over.
Around 1pm that same day, another violent weather spectacle was caught on camera off Italy's east coast.
A pair of towering waterspouts spun out of a thunderstorm near the Delta del Po, stunning locals and halting boat tours.

One tour boat operator paused his excursion to capture the rare double phenomenon which saw the twin columns "dance" across the sea.
The Emilia-Romagna Meteo Facebook page later shared the eerie footage, showing the watery spires forming, folding, and merging during the storm.
Waterspouts — tornado-like funnels that form over water — aren't unheard of in Europe, with around 500 recorded each year.
But locals were warned this week to brace for more.
A moderate wind warning was issued by Italy's Meteorological Service on Monday, cautioning residents of "moderate intensity weather phenomena" in the north.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are also forecast to hammer the Marche and Umbria regions through late Monday morning.
Last year, a towering waterspout tornado crashed into a packed-out beach on Italy's Adriatic coast.
Holidaymakers in Salento were sent into a frenzy as the massive waterspout hurtled toward the San Cataldo, Torre Specchia, and San Foca marinas.
Videos showed the menacing spout churning out of dark clouds and charging at the beach, tossing deckchairs, tables and even jet skis into the air.
Panic erupted as families bolted from the shoreline.
One clip showed beachgoers fleeing up a flight of steps just before the spout slams into the sand, leaving a trail of wreckage behind.
Bins, umbrellas, and sunbeds were scattered across the beach like toys.

Brits warned of swimwear rules that could land them £434 fines in holiday hotspots
Brits heading on summer holidays to the likes of Italy and Spain are being warned of strict dress code rules especially when it comes to wearing swimwear in public Brits planning to hit the beach or pool on their holidays may want to take note of some strict swimwear rules, or risk a potential £425 fine for wearing their bikinis. In recent years, a number of holiday hotspots including Italy and Spain have clamped down on dress codes for both locals and tourists, when it comes to bikinis and swim shorts. Italian hotspot Sorrento has banned the wearing of swimwear outside of beaches and pools, with authorities arguing that the move upholds public decency and respect for locals. The rules have been in place since 2022, and anyone flouting the restrictions could face a fine of up to €500 (approximately £425). It comes as Brits have been issued a stark warning about the habit that could land them a prison sentence while abroad. It's worth noting that you're not going to get a fine if you're walking around your hotel or beach club, or if you're on the beach itself. The crackdown is in place to stop people then heading out to the town and trying to enter shops and restaurants in just their swimming attire. The ban doesn't just apply to swimwear; it also applies to visitors who walk around the town topless. It's not just Sorrento that has this dress code in place. For tourists heading on Spain holidays to the likes of Barcelona and Majorca, similar restrictions apply. People can only wear their swimwear on the beach or poolside, but if they head out to the towns then they could be slapped with a fine. In Barcelona that can be up to £260, while in Majorca that can be up to £500. Like Sorrento, this also applies to men walking around topless. There are other European holiday spots where dress codes are in place. For example, tourists heading to Greece have been warned to consider the shoes they wear carefully. At historic sites including the Acropolis in Athens, shoes such as high heels are banned because they can damage the landmarks. The ban has been in place since 2009 as part of preservation efforts. In fact, a statement on the Acropolis website explains: "Most types of shoes are allowed at the Acropolis, except for high heels that have been forbidden in 2009 at all of Greece's ancient monuments. The ban was put in in place due to the damage that the sharp soles were adding to Greece's ancient sites." If you want to visit and you're wearing heels, you could risk being denied entry to the site. Rule-breakers face fines of around €900 (£771).

The Turkish hotel they usually stay at is the Regnum Carya in Antalya, where rooms start from around £1,000 per person per night. They have been there so many times, Stacey now refers to it as her "second home". The couple have a blended family of six children. They share three kids together – Rex, six, Rose, three, and Belle, two – while Stacey is also mum to Zachary, 17, and Leighton, 12, and Joe has 18-year-old son Harry with his ex Emma Sophocleous. However, in the family photo from their holiday fans were quick to point out that Harry wasn't on the trip. Stacey posted slew of sweet snaps of her and Joe with their other five kids and wrote: "Time to make some memories my whole world 🥹 can't wait for some special time with my babies. "Got one picture of us all the second one is every photo ever happy summer everyone from pickle cottage to our second home at this point." But while most followers pointed out what a lovely photos they were, some took to the comments to cruelly mum-shame Stacey over this. One fan wrote: "Lovely family pic. Wish Joe eldest son was included more." Stacey Solomon clashes with husband Joe Swash as they reveal relationship struggles in therapy While another added: "Why is Joe's eldest son never with them." This person said: "I agree would be nice for them to acknowledge they're missing one!" Their holiday comes just days after it was reported how Stacey and Joe have made a "vow" amid "silly bickering", according to a source. It comes after "tension" between the popular couple has recently been captured on TV. Stacey Solomon's career so far Stacey Solomon has been a familiar face on viewers' screens for over a decade. Let's take a look back at her career. The X Factor (2009): Stacey competed in series six of long-running ITV singing competition The X Factor. During her time in the show, she was mentored by Danni Minogue in the 'Girls' category. The star finished in third place, behind Joe McElderry and Olly Murs. I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here (2010); In late 2010, Stacey headed to the infamous I'm A Celeb Aussie jungle. After 21 days, she triumphed to win the tenth series. It was through I'm A Celeb that she met future husband Joe Swash - who'd won two years earlier and was hosting the ITV2 spinoff. Celebrity Juice (2011―2013, 2016―2019): The star appeared as a panellist on 21 episodes of the comedy panel game show hosted by Keith Lemon. Stacey was a regular in the 21st series, broadcast in 2019. Loose Women (2016 - present): Stacey has been a permanent panel member of the daytime show since 2016. She previously made guest appearances in 2011 and 2012. Sort Your Life Out (2022 -present): This BBC show sees Stacey, with the help of an expert team, transform participants' living spaces after removing clutter. However, according to a source, the couple have vowed to take time out to remember why they're so good for each other. During their BBC reality show, the pair shared a close-up look into the ups and downs of life at Pickle Cottage and their relationship. The source told New Magazine: 'There's tension in the air and there is a bit of bickering. But it puts a strain on any relationship. "You look at those on reality shows, such as the wives in The Real Housewives, with cameras in their houses 24/7, and a lot of their relationships crack under the pressure.' Despite this, the source maintained that a break away from the cameras, however small, is just what Stacey and Joe need. The source added: 'They're worried that if they don't have a break from the cameras and the limelight, it could affect what makes their relationship special. 'They're still very much in love and are really trying to focus on each other amid the silly bickering and moments of tension, and remember why they got together in the first place – and why they're actually so perfect together. "They have vowed to carve out some quality time this summer to do that."

Our garden is being flooded due to HUGE trees next door… but council won't do a thing to stop it
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A HOMEOWNER is begging her council to cut down a set of huge trees which are allegedly causing her garden to become flooded. According to the resident, she is yet to hear back from her council as the country braces for the incoming Storm Floris. She believes that the massive influx of water was supported by tree roots and leaves blocking the drainage system in Cheviot Drive. As the water rushed into her garden on July 31, Kerri put on her wellington boots and went outside to assess the extent of the damage. Kerri said: 'I opened my back gate, and the water came rushing through into the garden. 'I was stood right above the drain and the water was up to my ankles, that is how deep it was. 'The lack of action is frustrating, and we have always paid our council tax and these trees desperately need sorting out. 'It is going to get to the point where our gardens flood even more, or a large branch from a tree will come down on one of us and it will be fatal. 'If the council was using our money properly we would not have these issues. 'We are not asking for the trees to be uplifted completely, we just want them to be maintained.' She says that inaction over maintaining the trees has fuelled the problem. Watch shocking moment water rushes down street in Irish city after heavy rain batters Ireland According to Kerri, tree roots were found by her husband in her drains. She said: 'When my family and I moved in around 15 years ago, the council would come round and trim the trees. 'But in the last 10 years we have had nothing, and the trees are now overgrown. 'My husband Phillip is a plumber and has cleaned out our drains before to unblock them and he found tree roots inside. 'We have been told there can't be roots in the drains, but that paired with the fallen leaves are causing the area to flood when the rain is heavy.' The Sun has approached Hythe and Dibden Parish Council, New Forest District Council and Hampshire County Council for comment. The news comes as the country prepares for the incoming Storm Floris, which is set to bring 85mph winds. A yellow weather warning has been issued for Scotland, Northern England, Northern Ireland and north Wales. It will be in place from 6am Monday until 6am Tuesday and residents have been warned of a 'danger to life'. Matthew Lehnert, a Met Office Chief Meteorologist, said: 'Across the warning area, many inland areas are likely to see gusts of 40-50mph, with 60-70mph more likely at higher elevations and around exposed coasts in Scotland. "There is a small chance that some locations here could even record gusts of 85mph.' A spokesperson for the weather agency added on X: "Storm Floris has been named. "Unseasonably strong winds, gales in the north, locally severe and accompanied by heavy rain. Disruption possible." 6 Requests for local council to prune and maintain the trees have been ignored Credit: Kerri Miles
