Miami Herald10-04-2025
On a Wednesday with Powerball, Cash4Life, Fantasy 5 and Florida Lotto drawings, the jackpot wins went to players at a Presidente Supermarket and a Publix.
Saturday's Powerball and Florida Lotto drawings will have jackpots of $82 million and $3 million, respectively, after no one had a perfect ticket.
The Fantasy 5 midday draw numbers — 5, 10, 17, 18, 19 — were chosen by a player at the Presidente at 1060 W. 29th St. in Hialeah. That jackpot was $55,284.
The evening draw came out 4, 8, 14, 21 and 22, numbers picked by someone who played at a Boca Raton Publix, 1001 S. Federal Hwy. That ticket is worth $119,117.

Powerball ticket sold at Bay Area smoke shop wins $677,821

A Powerball ticket purchased at a Bay Area tobacco shop is worth $677,821, California lottery officials confirmed Monday night. The ticket matched five of the six winning numbers in the July 21 drawing — just one number shy of the $309 million jackpot. It was sold at Specialty Tobacco Outlet, located about 10 miles south of San Francisco, and correctly matched the numbers 8, 11, 28, 33 and 42. The missing number was the red Powerball: 2. The Power Play multiplier for the drawing was 2x. The San Bruno ticket was among several high-value winners on Monday. A ticket sold in Georgia earned $1 million by also matching all five main numbers but not the Powerball. No player nationwide hit the jackpot, pushing the grand prize to an estimated $325 million for the next drawing on Wednesday. The cash option stands at approximately $145.3 million. In total, nearly 400,000 Powerball tickets sold across the country won prizes in the July 21 drawing, ranging from $4 to $100,000, according to lottery officials. California has seen a string of major wins in recent months. In May, a player in the state won a $204.5 million jackpot. Earlier this year, another California ticket claimed a $526.5 million prize. The odds of hitting the jackpot remain steep, at 1 in 292,201,338.

Powerball player wins life-changing prize in Georgia. Where was ticket sold?

A Georgia Powerball player was one number shy of the estimated $309 million jackpot — but still netted a huge prize. The lucky player won $1 million after matching five white ball numbers but not the Powerball in the drawing Monday, July 21, according to the Georgia Lottery's website. The winning ticket was sold at a Circle K gas station in Forsyth, a lottery spokesperson told McClatchy News. The winner hadn't come forward as of July 22. It's the latest in a string of big lottery wins for the the Peach State, coming two days after someone netted an $865,050 Fantasy 5 jackpot in the July 19 drawing. The winning ticket, sold at a Publix supermarket in Savannah, matched all five numbers. Last week, a lottery player won a $3 million jackpot playing the 100X The Money scratch-off game, the Georgia Lottery said. The Powerball numbers for July 21 were 8-11-28-33-42 and red Powerball 2, according to the lottery game's website. The Power Play multiplier option was 2x. A California player scored a $678,000 prize in Monday's drawing, results show. There were no $2 million winners, and no one hit the jackpot. The next Powerball drawing is July 23 with an estimated $325 million jackpot. Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes and are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket, the Georgia Lottery said. Forsyth is about a 60-mile drive southeast from downtown Atlanta. What to know about Powerball To score the jackpot in the Powerball, a player must match all five white balls and the red Powerball. The odds of scoring the jackpot prize are 1 in 292,201,338. Tickets can be bought on the day of the drawing, but sales times and price vary by state. Drawings are broadcast Saturdays, Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:59 p.m. ET and can be streamed online. Powerball is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
