Speaking to pal Kadi Lee, who is the co-owner of hair salon Highbrow Hippie in California, Meghan revealed the story of how she met.
It all began when she had a 'mishap' with some DIY hair dye.
She explained on her show: 'So, my family had just moved to California, and we were staying in our friend's home, and because it was the pandemic, I kept ordering boxed hair dye.
'I thought, 'I'm going to look just like she does on the box', and instead, it was this very inky, almost Elvira-esque black hair.'
Meghan had reached out to her wedding hairstylist Serge Normant for tips and he pointed her in the direction of Kadi and her hair salon.
Speaking of how their friendship formed, the Duchess added: 'He said you need to see Kadi, and you came over.'
The remark caught the attention of actress Cassandra Peterson, 73, who plays The Mistress of the Dark actress Elvira.
Over the weekend, Elvira screenshotted a news headline about the comment, which read: 'Meghan Markle jokes she looked like Elvira after using box hair dye during the pandemic.'
The actress saw the funny side of the comment, and captioned her post: 'Hey princess, if you ever need beauty advice from a queen just let me know', alongside the smirking face emoji.
Many fans were quick to react to Cassandra's comical post, with one saying: 'Oh Meghan honey you wished that you looked like Elvira.'

Another added: 'In her wildest dreams, she looked like Elvira.'
However, lots of people defended Meghan and praised both women.
One wrote: 'I'm a big fan of Elvira and Meghan Markle - they're both stunning, charming, and hilarious.'
A second commented: 'Meghan Markle is the furthest thing from goth. Makes sense she wouldn't want to look like Elvira. It's not an insult.'

Ariana dispute
She revealed that the pop sensation is a bit of a fan of the eighties icon and asked for 21 free tickets to her latest show.
Cassandra told the crowd at a special Halloween experience at Knott's Berry Scary Farm how Ariana and her family members attended the show but then refused to have a photograph together.
"She came and she brought 20 guests. So, she wanted 21 tickets, and we were like 'okay'," said Cassandra.

"We give her the tickets, and she comes backstage and she asked if I could take pictures with all of her friends and relatives she brought.
"I take a picture with every single one of them. I sign autographs for every single one of them.
"Then I say to her 'Can we take a photo together?' and she goes, 'Nah, I don't really do that.'"
To add further insult to injury, the star shared: "She left before my show started and all her relatives stayed... and she took off. Okay! Just sayin'.'
Ariana has since responded to the claims and commented to Cassandra: "I'm so disheartened to see this.
"I actually don't even remember getting the chance to meet you because I had an anxiety attack and to my memory, left before the rest of my family (this was around 7 years ago and at the time i was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places)…"
She added: "But if I'm misremembering this moment, I sincerely apologise for offending you so."

EXCLUSIVE As Meghan's new rosé hits the shelves next week, we reveal the secrets of the Californian winery where it was made... which also produces bespoke tipples for celebrities including Barry Manilow and hit Western series 'Yellowstone'

Gently rolling hills lush with grape-heavy vineyards stretch for miles through California 's verdant Napa Valley until a turn on Silverado Trail leads you to the yawning chasm of a cave carved into the hillside. It is here, deep in a labyrinth of darkened tunnels, that Meghan Markle 's new rosé wine - which goes on sale on Tuesday (July 1) - has been awaiting its debut, The Mail on Sunday can exclusively reveal. The cellar entrance leads to the wine-filled oak caskets of Fairwinds Estate, a California winery that creates bespoke wines for celebrities including Barry Manilow, the estate of cowboy movie legend John Wayne and the hit Western television series 'Yellowstone.' Meghan specifically picked Fairwinds - 75 miles north of San Francisco and a six-hour drive from her home in Montecito - to show her support after the winery was almost totally destroyed in a devastating 2020 wildfire which caused $15 million worth of damage. A source said: 'She wanted to lean in and help a California business rebuild.' The 'As Ever' rosé - which Meghan described as being 'infused with joy and whimsy' - is the duchess's first foray into the lucrative world of celebrity alcohol branding but has not been without controversy. Critics have pointed out that she has chosen to launch her wine on July 1, on what would have been Princess Diana's 64th birthday. Prince Harry's mother was killed by a drunk driver, Henri Paul, when Harry was just 12 years old. One woman wrote on Twitter: 'Is it really appropriate to launch a wine on what would have been her mother-in-law's birthday when Diana was killed by a drunk driver?' Another said: 'It feels a little tone deaf.' Regardless of the critics, if Meghan's wine is successful it could net her a fortune. Brad Pitt's Miravel rosé brand is valued at around $200 million while George Clooney sold his CasaAmigos tequila company for a staggering $1 billion. Meghan - a wine lover who named her original blog 'The Tig' after her favourite Italian Tignanello wine - spent months tasting dozens of different blends created in Fairwinds' 25,000 sq. ft. cellar, before settling on the final mix. The bespoke wine is understood to contain a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot grapes. A source said: 'Every time she had friends over she would test the different blends out on them and then give notes back to the expert winemaker that it needed more of this, or less of that. This is a custom-made wine.' Meghan was instrumental in every aspect of the creation of her rosé right down to designing the label with her trademark calligraphy handwriting. Meghan specifically picked Fairwinds - 75 miles north of San Francisco and a six-hour drive from her home in Montecito - to show her support after the winery was almost totally destroyed in a devastating 2020 wildfire which caused $15 million worth of damage The gold-rimmed label on the front of the bottle says: 'As Ever Rosé Napa Valley 2023' while the back describes the wine as having 'soft notes of stone fruit, gentle mineralogy and a lasting finish.' She signs off: 'As ever, Meghan.' The 2023 vintage is considered one of the best harvests in living memory thanks to plentiful spring rain and a temperate summer that produced a bumper grape crop. Fairwinds Estate has risen 'phoenix-like from the ashes,' cellar master Troy Harbison told the MoS when we visited on Friday afternoon. Mr Harbison said: 'The winery and tasting room were destroyed in the 2020 fire and haven't been rebuilt, The fire came down Hope Valley, over the hill and ripped through this property. Only the cellars survived. 'We aren't growing any grapes on this site but we have acreage across Napa Valley. We also buy in grapes from other vineyards, all in Napa Valley. 'For a while we weren't sure if the winery would survive. 'Then the owners had the idea of working with celebrities and sports teams to make their own line of wines and it really took off. 'We now produce wines for television shows and American football teams, basketball franchises, hockey and baseball teams. It was all because of the fire.' It is not known what price Meghan will charge for her new rosé but Fairwinds sells its rosé for $36 a bottle. Once Meghan made her final selection her wine was put into barrels and shipped 20 miles across winding country roads to the Kunde Family Winery in the neighbouring valley of Sonoma County. The wine was decanted into vast steel vats 18 feet high and holding up to 40,000 gallons before being piped across the roof of the Kunde's tasting room into its bottling plant. A member of staff said: 'This can produce 90 bottles a minute and up to 2,000 cases of wine a day at full throttle.' The fire that tore through Fairwinds destroyed its own bottling plant which is why it now farms out the bottling of its wines to other vineyards. It is not known what price Meghan will charge for her new rosé but Fairwinds sells its rosé for $36 a bottle Fairwinds has a storied history as the fourth Napa vineyard to be established after Prohibition ended in 1933. The Glass Fire in September 2020 made global headlines as firefighters carefully lowered the Stars and Stripes flag before the winery burned down. Vineyard owners Brandon Chaney - a colourful character whose Instagram handle is 'The Cowboy Wino' - and Anthony Zabit fought a legal battle against their insurance company for money to rebuild, a process which is ongoing. Fairwinds' website recalls the dark days of the fire saying: 'In an act of true patriotism the firefighters of Engine 559 of the Fremont Fire Department saved the American Flag as the Glass Fire overtook Fairwinds. 'The next day, these brave men presented the flag back to Brandon and Anthony to proudly raise about the new structures to rise from the ashes in the coming years.' Meghan and Harry have been strong supporters of firemen.

‘Trauma is messy, but music will come of it': Jessica Curry on her new album, Shielding Songs

For the fortunate among us, the Covid lockdowns have, years later, become a memory – if not distant, then certainly ever-so-slightly faded. We have had a few years now, to get out there, to rebuild careers and relationships, to travel, to live in the world again. That's not the case for everyone. Award-winning composer Jessica Curry, who crafted the beguiling, elegiac soundtracks to games such as Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and Dear Esther, has only just emerged. Diagnosed with a degenerative disease in her mid-20s and seriously immunocompromised as a result of her condition, she began isolating at the start of the pandemic, and for the next five years barely left her home. While there, unable to work or write, her world began to collapse. 'Like many people I had an extraordinarily painful and difficult pandemic,' she says. 'I watched my dad die on Zoom, and then my auntie and more family members. Then they found a tumour in my ovary, and I had major abdominal surgery, but the operation had gone wrong, so I nearly died in 2022. While I was recovering from the third operation, the roof of our house fell in. It felt like a metaphor for everything. If a novelist had written this, no one would believe the story. And things just kept going wrong. So I wasn't writing music, I wasn't even listening to music. All of a sudden, I couldn't bear it. I'm still trying to work out what that rejection was about – I was just in too much of a mental crisis. I wasn't even feeding or dressing myself.' One day last year, however, Curry made the decision to start listening to her music again. Not yet ready to compose, she began cataloguing her work instead, putting it in some sort of order after years of manic productivity. The result is Shielding Songs, an album mostly made up of new versions of her favourite pieces, arranged as lusciously ethereal choral works featuring the acclaimed London Voices choir. 'Shielding Songs is a kind of gathering together, almost like a manifesto. I was thinking, what do I believe as a composer? What is my legacy? And I have to say, I did think it was going to be the last thing I would put out. And I was like, if it is going to be the last thing, I want it to be good. And I want it to say the things that I feel are important.' Among them are four pieces from Everything's Gone to the Rapture, a game about the apocalypse from the point of view of a tiny English village that won Curry a Bafta for her soundtrack. Created by developer The Chinese Room, of which Curry and her husband Dan Pinchbeck were co-founders, it drew praise for its lavish bucolic setting and highly emotional score, heavily inspired by Elgar and Vaughan Williams. It has been some of her most popular music. 'I still get emails about it 10 years later,' she says. 'So many people have Rapture tattoos – I often get emails that say, I only listen to death metal, but I love this soundtrack. That game has stuck with people, but I wanted to reimagine the music. The Mourning Tree is not the most played track on the score, but it's the one that people write to me about. Lots of people have played it at funerals. And I thought, there is something beautiful I can do with a purely choral arrangement here.' Another reason Rapture is so prominent on the new album is the parallel between its story of growing isolation at the end of the world and the experience of the Covid years. 'The game is about what it means to be human, what does it mean to love?' she says. 'And interestingly it has a lot of tie-in with a global event like a pandemic and how we cope with that.' Curry has described Shielding Songs as an exploration of what it means to love and grieve in isolation, but it is also a hopeful study of human endurance. Four of the tracks come from her anti-war requiem Perpetual Light, first performed in 2011 – a response to the nuclear attacks on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, undercut with a sense of hope for the future. A piece from Chinese Room's VR sci-fi adventure So Let Us Melt is included too. The titular track is a wilting choral work inspired by John Donne, but the other tracks on the score are more experimental and hint at where she is heading musically. 'You can tell it's mine, but it's a kind of weird mix of Baba O'Riley with minimalism, with a classical bent, but it also sounds like it's from a film,' Curry says. 'It's got that sort of epic space opera feel, and everything for me coalesced into that score. I loved the sound.' Curry and Pinchbeck (to whom one beautiful new song on the album, Rest With Your Dream, is dedicated) sold The Chinese Room to Sumo Digital in 2018; Curry departed, Pinchbeck stayed on as creative director, overseeing Bafta-winning oil rig horror adventure, Still Wakes the Deep, but left in 2023. Now the duo have formed a small new studio, and are working on fresh concepts. 'Maybe we're insane,' she says. 'But I think we are good at making games, me and Dan. We have things to say.' Curry is still sick, and she still worries about going out, especially now that some people have become aggressive toward those who wear protective masks. But she is composing again. 'This is the first time in a long time that I can hear music properly, in my head,' she says. 'I didn't think it would happen again, and I think it is going to be something new. It will be Jessica Curry, but I'm not the same person that I was. When really bad things happen to you, you don't go back. The ground doesn't just solidify again. Trauma is messy and it's exhausting, but music will come from it.' Shielding Songs is out now via Bandcamp

They later headed over to The Symposium night club and danced until 2am, where according to MailOnline he was reportedly seen hugging her. The club is well known in the area and is owned by Hollyoaks hunk Ashley Taylor Dawson, who plays Darren Osborne on the show. Mum-of-one Molly shocked fans last year when she announced her split from Tommy. He was later accused of cheating on her with a 'blonde stranger' on a lads' holiday to Macedonia - something Tommy has repeatedly denied. The former Love Island star admitted yesterday that alcohol and partying was behind his split from the star, saying: 'We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn't be the partner that I wanted to be anymore. "It kills me to say it, but I couldn't. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink.' She later sobbed as she recalled pleading with the boxer to ditch the alcohol during her sister Zoe's big day in July. In heartbreaking scenes in her warts-and-all Prime Video documentary, she said: 'At my sister's wedding I literally begged him, I pleaded with him to not drink. Molly Mae admits she 'begged and pleaded' with Tommy Fury not to drink at her sister's wedding "And … it's just really sad … I don't know why I'm crying now. It's just so sad. It just affected me.' She added: 'He wanted to have a family life but also have the life of a 25 year old boy with no responsibilities and the two don't go hand in hand. 'He's never had an alcohol problem, it's just that alcohol caused problems for us. "It got to a point where I wasn't really looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much.' However the pair managed to work past their problems and have since reconciled. They were spotted yesterday looking happier than ever on a family day out. Molly's rep declined to comment. Tommy's rep has been contacted. 5 Molly broke down in tears on her documentary about Tommy's boozing 5 Tommy was seen chatting to brother Roman's girlfriend Credit: Getty
