Cameron Norrie takes inspiration from Andy Murray in latest Wimbledon win
Jack Draper's surprise second-round loss on Thursday to former finalist Marin Cilic left Norrie as the last home hope standing in the men's draw in SW19.
To the delight of high-spirited spectators on his favoured Court One, the 2022 semi-finalist delivered, recovering from a slow start to dispatch Italian world number 73 Mattia Bellucci 7-6 (5) 6-4 6-3.

British number three Norrie will take on Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry in round four, with two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz a potential quarter-final opponent.
'It's important to use the crowd to your advantage,' he said.
'I was just pulling from random people, getting fired up with them. You can see they're loving it.
'Obviously Friday afternoon, people had a few drinks. I could feel that. Getting behind me. It was nice to see.
'I wanted to try to give them something to cheer about. I think the people quite like it when you look at them and get fired up. They feel like they've played a part in the win.
'I wanted to pull from the energy from not just my team but from some random people in the crowd. I've seen Andy Murray do that a lot in his matches. Yeah, it was so much fun today.'
Norrie, who has plummeted from a career-high ranking of eighth to 61st, conceded he 'stole' an unconvincing opening set from Bellucci on a tie-break after being broken in the opening game.
He gradually took control of a tight contest to enhance his enviable Court One record, having won eight of nine matches there across his career, including his impressive second-round success over 12th seed Frances Tiafoe.
The 29-year-old is also open to returning to Centre Court – the scene of his four-set, last-four defeat to Novak Djokovic three years ago – for Sunday's showdown with Jarry but will not be making any official requests.
'If I'm playing my next match on Centre Court, that's great,' he said.

'I feel there's the tendency to be a little bit more respectful on that Centre Court in terms of energy and crowd, noise and everything.
'I felt like today on Court One, there were a few difficult moments for me that the crowd got really fired up – some love 30 (down), love 40 (down).
'I managed to switch the energy and switch the momentum of the match. I think that was huge to use that today. Yeah, I felt that.
'I obviously played Centre Court a few times. The match with Djokovic, they got loud as well. I'm not saying that doesn't happen.
'I just feel a little bit more on Court One – it's maybe just a little bit biased (because of) winning there and playing well there.'

The UK's recent warm weather may have proven an issue for gym-goers, but one fitness centre has come up with a clever way of making workouts bearable even in extreme heat Summer can be a hard time for people who like to stay active. The UK is set for another heatwave, too, meaning workouts are about to get sweatier - while some of us may decide to skip them altogether. It's hardly a surprise, therefore, that some Brit gym-goers are becoming obsessed with a workout created by a gym in Dubai where managers and personal trainers. GymNation - the city's leading gym chain, with more than 120,000 members - has shipped in a staggering 1,000kg of ice just this week for its new workout classes. Here, participants push around giant ice blocks, wear ice-filled vests to squat, and even run towards giant chiller fans on treadmills. The novel approach to the UAE's recent soaring temperatures has been shared on social media and quickly went viral, with roasting Brits begging their own gyms to come up with similar ideas. Taking to Instagram, one person wrote: "I'll go........ Just bring it to my front door." Another agreed: "Other gym plans immediately cancelled for July and August." Meanwhile a third chimed in: "Okay, but the frosted reps with ice vests!? who's free to go next weekend, I need a gym buddy for this madness." The workout is known as the "Coolest Class", combining high-intensity interval training (HIIT) with equipment made of ice. The drills include 'blizzard sprints', which are treadmill runs against a giant fan. This not only creates the feeling of resistance, but also keeps runners cool. The 'polar push' involves sled pushes with ice blocks, while 'frosted reps' are squats with ice-packed weighted vests. The 'glacier grip challenge' sees participants complete bicep curls and lunges using ice buckets. At the end of the class, participants can recover in a 'chill zone'. GymNation Chief Marketing Officer Rory McEntee says the the class was created as a "genuine solution to the boiling temperatures which are restricting gym goers". He said: "We've seen a huge amount of interest from members since launching the class and it's been good fun watching the reaction unfold on social media around the world in the past few days. "At GymNation, we pride ourselves on being the people's gym and that means listening to what our members need. Peak summer in Dubai becomes a real challenge due to overheating - with a recent YouGov survey revealing 71% of residents plan to stay in during summer, rather than seek local leisure opportunities to escape the heat. "We wanted to fix that with this new class, which combines cutting-edge fitness programming with temperature-controlled training to deliver maximum impact, without the meltdown. "We've even had messages from fitness lovers in the UK, Europe and Australia over the past week who are travelling to Dubai in July, asking to reserve them a place." Sadly for UK exercise-lovers, there are "no plans" to bring the class here yet.

The former US Open champion was unable to make it a hat-trick of British victories on day five after impressive wins for Sonay Kartal and Cameron Norrie. Saturday's action will include milestone-chasing Novak Djokovic, reigning women's champion Barbora Krejcikova and men's number one Jannik Sinner. Here, the PA news agency looks back at Friday's action and previews day six of the Championships. Emma Raducanu reminded the tennis world what a special talent she is before her Wimbledon hopes were ended with a narrow loss to world number one Aryna Sabalenka. The 22-year-old played some electrifying tennis under the roof on Centre Court but was unable to apply the finishing touches, eventually going down 7-6 (6) 6-4 after exactly two hours. Sabalenka was impressed, saying: 'She played such incredible tennis and she pushed me really hard to get this win. 'I'm super happy to see her healthy and back on track. I'm pretty sure that she will be back in the top 10 soon.' But home hopes in the singles at Wimbledon are not over. British number threes Sonay Kartal and Cameron Norrie delighted Court One earlier in the day to reach the fourth round. Kartal achieved a career first when she dismantled French qualifier Diane Parry to make the last 16 of a grand slam for the first time. And Norrie followed her lead, knocking out Italy's Mattia Bellucci in straight sets to set up a clash with Chilean qualifier Nicolas Jarry. For the first time this week, there will be no British players in action in either of the senior singles draws. Lewis Hamilton will soon take to Silverstone as a Ferrari driver for the first time, and one of his Formula 1 rivals has a deeper insight into the British star's character after a private jet ride Lewis Hamilton will soon make his British Grand Prix debut as a Ferrari driver. Fans at his home race will laud the 40-year-old, whose true character has been made crystal clear after a private jet ride with fellow Formula 1 star Franco Colapinto. Hamilton returns to Silverstone in Scuderia red for the first time, looking to keep the momentum from a promising Austrian Grand Prix weekend. So far, the Brit and team-mate Charles Leclerc are yet to register a race win, aside from Hamilton's sprint victory at the Chinese Grand Prix. Yet, a P4 at the Red Bull Ring is a solid foundation, and Hamilton has finished on the podium at the last 11 renewals of the British GP. When he takes to the Northamptonshire track, one star who'll join him on the starting grid is Alpine's Colapinto. The young Argentine has come to the end of his five-round deal, but is all set to grace Silverstone in Alpine's second seat. He has a unique insight into ex- Mercedes star Hamilton's world, having taken up the offer of a private jet ride to London with him after the Spanish Grand Prix instead of flying EasyJet, and has shed light on the encounter. "Yeah, it was nice. Lewis is a great guy and I had the best flight of my life with him. It was very special and very unique," said Colapinto after the Austrian Grand Prix. "You all know that he was my idol since I was very young, with [Aryton] Senna as well, and to be able to fly with him and have a bit of a chat. He asked if anyone was flying to London and I said I'm going to London, but on EasyJet. "And he came back saying he had a lot of space on his plane and invited me to go. It was quite special. Also flying private for the first time, two very unique experiences and a lot of stories from Lewis. "A very special flight. He's a great guy and I was very, very impressed by how he is as a person and how he is as a professional," shared the 22-year-old. "A lot to admire from the personal part from the sportsman. It was great, a dream come true and didn't have to fly on my EasyJet flight." The seven-time F1 champion has long preferred private plane travel, and in 2013, he spent £25million on a luxury Bombardier Challenger 605 in an unmissable cheery red colourway. However, due to environmental and financial reasons, he sold the jet in 2019, and it is assumed that the jet that he and Colapinto travelled on was rented, as Hamilton often does when making his way to and from races. While a 10th British GP victory would be poetic for Hamilton as he makes his Silverstone bow with his new team, fellow F1 icon Damon Hill believes another Brit will steal the show in Lando Norris. "Nigel Mansell used to say the support of a home crowd was worth a second a lap," Hill exclusively told the Mirror. "And it definitely adds something. "If I had to stick my neck out at Silverstone, it's got to be Lando. It feels like this is his time. I'm sure he'll be desperate to win it. Ferrari have a decent record in the British Grand Prix too, so you never know."
