Fat Joe Responds to Ex-Hypeman's Underage Sex Claims: ‘Disgusting Lies'
The post on Wednesday (June 25) is Fat Joe's first personal statement since he was sued last week by Terrance 'T.A.' Dixon, who accused the rapper of running a wide-ranging racketeering enterprise in which he trafficked underage girls for sex and subjected his employees to abusive working conditions. Fat Joe's attorneys have vehemently denied the claims and already have a pending counter-lawsuit accusing Dixon and his lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, of extortion.

'I've been tested the last few months — I've lost my big brother, my father, my mother and now I'm fighting against these disgusting lies,' wrote Fat Joe in the Instagram post. 'But please know I will not break and I will NEVER back down.'
The rapper's statement echoes his attorneys' allegations that Dixon fabricated the claims in pursuit of a payday. 'They figure they can make up the most insane stories and, if they threaten you with a lawsuit, then you'll pay and they'll feel like they finally won,' he continued in the post.
'Problem with your theory,' he added, 'I've never let anyone on the streets extort me, so how would I ever let a crooked attorney and a coward ex-hype man extort me?? I'm from the Bronx!'
Fat Joe's statement concludes by taking a dig directly at Blackburn: 'Since you want the clout, we will finish you in court. The time of lawyers using their law license as a badge to extort people and destroy families with no evidence is over!! I'm not the one!! You've messed with the wrong one this time!'
The statement arrived the same day as another strange twist in the dispute, after Blackburn was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with assault for allegedly running over Fat Joe's process server with his car last month.
Blackburn has pled not guilty to the charges, and his defense lawyer told Billboard the case seems to be 'at the very least…a misunderstanding or an accident, and at the most an attempt to extort some money out of my client.'

Defunded DA hangs onto control of office for now
NEW MEXICO (KRQE) — The state of New Mexico recently defunded a district attorney, saying she couldn't keep or hire staff because of her incompetence. The state now has a plan to fix the McKinley County District Attorney's Office operations, but the DA isn't allowing that to happen quite yet. San Juan County District Attorney Jack Fortner has tried email, phone calls, and even a mediation hosted by the Governor's Office to get McKinley County District Attorney Bernadine Martin to meet with him in person. Now out of time, he showed up at her office at 9 a.m. on Tuesday – the day the fiscal year began. The state legislature had put Fortner in control of the McKinley County DA Office's budget. 'It's on her': Senator defunds DA citing attitude, staff shortage When Fortner asked if Martin was available to speak, he was surprised to find she was. Martin let Fortner in, along with his staff – an HR employee and office manager who were ready to begin onboarding the staff under his payroll. Plus, attorneys prepared to help with her county's caseload. But then, Martin closed the door. The state defunded Martin's office after years of complaints from the community and police. She should have eight assistant prosecutors, but for more than six months, she's had zero. As we shared in a KRQE investigation Monday night, the sheriff says this staffing shortage has led to criminals not being held accountable. On top of that, KRQE News 13 is told Martin has created a hostile work environment. After their meeting, KRQE asked the DA again if she would talk with us. She said no, saying she had just met with Fortner. Their meeting lasted about half an hour. Fortner said he 'was not expecting her to co-operate,' but found Martin was very cooperative, and that they had a good discussion. But she won't let him have any say in her office's operation just yet. Fortner says Martin asked him to hold off for at least two more weeks, as she'd like to hear from the New Mexico Supreme Court first. Just last month, Martin petitioned the justices to weigh in on whether the legislature and governor have the right to defund her'DA Martin assured me that she has legal coverage for two weeks,' said Fortner. 'She has funds for her staff for two weeks. And so I said, 'as soon as you need us, we're here.'' Still, it remains unclear if the court will hand down a decision that soon. Fortner says that 'it's her office, and I can't intrude without her cooperation.' They agreed to talk in a week, and see what happens. Now, Martin could be removed before then. The governor asked the attorney general to investigate whether Martin's conduct amounts to gross incompetence. ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Newly obtained video paints a picture of what led to the shooting of a security guard downtown, and it also shows how easy it was for police to find the suspects. Officer 1: 'He fell right over here, so there's that casing.' Officers found a security guard lying in the front door, with a gunshot wound. Officer 1: They came from upstairs, the actual incident, and all the fight was here, looks like they were a little when they were upstairs. Officer 1: Which one of you, which one of you has video? Witnesses told police a group of five, three men and two women, were arguing with the security guard before one of the men, later identified as 23-year-old Isaiah Webb, reached into his pocket and fired a single shot into the security guard's side. Witness 1: 'I just heard the pop, ran downstairs, and he was already on the ground.'Witness 2: 'It looked like fire was the only thing between him and the gun, the gun came out of nowhere though.' The security guard was transported to the University of New Mexico Hospital. Surveillance footage shows the group running away after the shooting, toward Fifth Street, but the suspect made a big mistake leaving something important behind. Officer 2: 'She said that there was a group of them, this is the credit card.' Officer 1: 'That's the credit card?' Webb never closed his tab at the bar, and the bartender knew exactly who he was. Bartender: 'He was wearing a Looney Tunes black t-shirt, worn down, not new.' The security guard survived the shooting. Webb pled not guilty to aggravated battery with a deadly weapon last month.
