Maalik fetches Rs 14.10 crore in three days
Jointly produced by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani, Maalik had a low start at the box office. It started its journey with an opening net collection of Rs 3.6 crore on Friday. On Saturday, it witnessed a slight growth in its business with a net collection of Rs 5.25 crore.
The Rajkummar Rao starrer earned Rs 5.25 crore on Sunday, bringing in its cume collection to Rs 14.10 crore net in three days.
Maalik requires strong hold on Monday, eyes Rs 30 crore finish
While the opening weekend collection of Maalik is decent so far, the production costs are higher, hence, a lot of work needs to be done for the recovery. As of now, the action thriller is performing better in tier 2 markets than the metros.
Also starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, it should have a strong hold at the box office on Monday. Rajkummar Rao's movie looks to finish its theatrical run in the range of Rs 25 crore to Rs 30 crore.

Maalik is currently competing with two new releases, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan and Superman at the box office. It is also running parallel to holdover releases like Metro...In Dino, Jurassic World: Rebirth and F1: The Movie in India.

He further expressed that he still believes that he is producing a big movie at a cheap cost, when compared to Hollywood movies. 'And I still think it's cheaper than some of the big Hollywood films. So I think we're making a bigger film at a lower cost. For me, it's not a money-driven thing, honestly,' added Namit Malhotra. About Ramayana Cast and Crew For the unversed, Ramayana is a two-part cinematic spectacle that stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Yash as Ravana, and many other incredibly talented actors. The movie is being directed by Nitesh Tiwari, who previously helmed Dangal and Chhichhore. The background score of Ramayana is composed by music legends Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. The makers are in talks with a Hollywood studio to distribute the movie across the world.

James Gunn's 'Superman' flies high at Indian box office
New Delhi [India], July 14 (ANI): James Gunn's directorial 'Superman', which hit the Indian theatres on July 11, has been roaring at the box office. As per the film's team, 'Superman' has had a great opening weekend with a box office collection of Rs 32 crore (gross) across 3037 screens (including all IMAX screens).
