Salvator Mundi by Andrea Previtali, 1519This painting of Christ as a mystical figure looking straight at you, holding up a crystal orb in one hand and giving a blessing with the other, has the same composition as the version of the same theme sold as a Leonardo da Vinci at a record price – but they don't seem to be connected. Previtali makes no attempt to emulate Leonardo's style. In fact this north Italian artist paints in a crisp, realistic way that's the opposite of Leonardesque. Christ's round face is very different from the Leonardo Salvator Mundi. His tunic is different, too. Rather than imitating Leonardo, it seems Previtali draws on the same inspirations. The Salvator Mundi icon was invented by Flemish artists in the 15th century. It seems this painting is influenced by those north European paintings. Which leads us to ask – why would an artist as great as Leonardo do the same, and copy Flemish art?

Fox News anchor Jesse Watters makes startling prediction about glam A-Lister he thinks Barron Trump will marry
Fox News anchor Jesse Watters has made a startling prediction that Barron Trump will marry MAGA's newest sweetheart, actress Sydney Sweeney. On Monday's episode of The Five, Watters discussed the ongoing controversy surrounding the glamorous actress after she was plunged into the hot seat by angry liberals who branded her American Eagle ad 'Nazi propaganda.' After highlighting how Democrats have lost 'another culture war battle,' Watters playfully said that the president's 19-year-old son will one day wed Sweeney, 27. He said: 'Every girl wants to look like her, and every guy wants to look at her. And the Democrats think, "Wait a second, why don't we call her a Nazi and boycott the company?" 'You know how this ends? She's going to marry Barron and it's going to create the greatest political dynasty in American history,' Watters said as his co-anchors laughed. Watters' comment comes after Donald Trump sensationally gushed over the Euphoria star when hearing about the backlash she's received from liberals. Sweeney faced criticism after it was revealed she's a registered Republican. 'Sydney Sweeney, a registered Republican, has the "HOTTEST" ad out there. It's for American Eagle, and the jeans are "flying off the shelves." Go get 'em Sydney!' the president said. Although the president and Watters have thrown their support behind Sweeney, some people were left uncomfortable by the anchor's comment - considering Trump's son is eight years her junior. Waters' bizarre comment came as he and his co-hosts discussed the controversy surrounding Sweeney's recent American Eagle ad (pictured) 'Gross, could you imagine,' one user wrote. 'Threw up in my mouth,' wrote another. Someone else questioned: 'What makes him think that Sydney would even be interested in Barron?' 'Cringey,' another commented. While many were not onboard with Watters' idea, others appeared to agree with his prediction. 'That would be very cool,' one said. Someone else stated: 'Could happen.' 'A perfect match,' another commented. Clothing brand American Eagle has been under fire for days after running a 'racially charged' ad featuring the White Lotus star. In the advert, the blonde-haired, blue eyed actress was seen donning denim with the tagline 'Sydney Sweeney Has Great Jeans.' In the commercial, Sweeney said: 'Genes are passed down from parents to offspring, often determining traits like hair color, personality and even eye jeans are blue.' It almost immediately sparked a conversation about eugenics and racism online, with many people disowning not just the brand, but Sweeney as well. Sweeney is a member of the Republican Party of Florida, according to public voter records reviewed by Daily Mail. She registered in Monroe County, Florida in June 2024. Buzzfeed was the first outlet to report Sweeney's voter registration. President Trump was elated to discover Sweeney was registered as a Republican after her controversial jeans ad set off a political firestorm. Daily Mail asked Trump for his reaction to Sweeney's surprise voter registration after he landed in Allentown, Pennsylvania, and the president didn't shy away from his excitement. 'Oh, now I love her ad,' Trump responded. 'You'd be surprised at how many people are Republican. That's one I wouldn't have known, but I'm glad you told me that,' he continued. 'If Sydney Sweeney is a registered Republican, I think her ad is fantastic.'

ITV have announced that Love Island: All Stars will return in 2026 for a third season and this time it will be longer than usual ITV have announced that Love Island: All Stars will return for an extended third series on ITV2 in January 2026. The news comes after the intense finale of the 12th series, which saw American beauty Toni Laites and Cach Mercer take home the win and 50K cash prize. This year's show was dubbed 'TV gold' by fans who branded the series as 'iconic' with its summer of jaw dropping twists and turns. And it looks like ITV are continuing with that momentum with the return of Love Island: All Stars. One again, fan-favourite Islanders from across the 12 seasons of the show will return to the villa in hopes for a second chance at finding love, while navigating the relationship dilemmas of bombshells, heads turning and what it truly means to be open. The hit show will return to the stunning villa in South Africa, with more Islanders hoping to find love. The series will launch in the new year and run for six whole weeks instead of the five which the past two seasons ran for. The previous two seasons saw couples from multiple series find love with each other, with several couples still together to this day. Season one in 2024 saw Molly Smith and Tom Clare crowned as the winners, and the pair are still going from strength to strength having recently bought their first house together. Other returning Islanders include Sophie Piper, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Curtis Pritchard, Scott Thomas and Anton Danyluk. The Love Island franchise has proved to be one of ITV's biggest shows for 16-34 audiences. The show has also continued to be streamed on ITVX when off air, being watched over two billion times. The show celebrated its 10th anniversary this year with season 12, and it is expected to be the biggest since season nine (which aired in January 2023). This show's streams on ITVX, currently at 163 million, are up 9 per cent year-on-year, making it the biggest series since the launch of ITVX. The show has also pulled in the biggest digital channel 16-34 audience of the year and continues to dominate digital conversation with a colossal reach of 2.3 billion across all platforms. Love Island is commissioned by Paul Mortimer, Director of Reality Commissioning and Acquisitions and Amanda Stavri, Commissioning Editor, Reality at ITV. Mike Spencer-Hayter, Creative Director, Lifted Entertainment, said: 'Love Island: All Stars has quickly established itself as a stand-alone hit, keeping fans of the show gripped by iconic Islanders from the past 10 years returning for another chance to find love. "We are very excited about series 3 and you can expect the twists and turns to continue in All Stars, after an incredible smash hit summer series." Amanda Stavri, Commissioning Editor, Reality at ITV added: "With over 2 billion streams, the Love Island brand continues to thrive, with our All Stars series fast becoming a staple in our reality schedule. We can't wait to kick start our third series and set about bringing back some of the viewers' favourite Islanders for another unmissable series."

KFC and Greggs tease collaboration as fast food fans go into meltdown
KFC and Greggs fans are convinced the two food giants are set to join forces and create a fast food masterpiece Whether it's a sausage roll, a quarter pounder, or a cheeky chicken wrap, Brits love fast food from time to time. As long as we eat such treats in moderation, there is nothing wrong with indulging in some convenience food. And now, British fast food fans are salivating over the possibility of an unexpected collaboration that could soon arrive on high streets nationwide. The excitement follows bakery giant Greggs teasing a potential partnership with KFC on social media. Across both Instagram and TikTok, Greggs posted a short clip showing one of its legendary sausage rolls being held against a KFC outlet's signage. Set to The Sundays' hit Summertime with the lyrics: "It's you and me in the summertime," the post was captioned: "Oddly satisfying. Is this a sign?" The post sparked wild speculation amongst eager food enthusiasts about what a possible tie-up between the two brands might involve. Responding on Instagram, one user wondered: "KFC inspired Chicken bake? Instead of creamy sauce in the current chicken bake it'll be KFC gravy? A KFC and gravy style bake? I'm invested," reports the Mirror. Another person speculated: "Or... 'Chicken Bake Royale' - a buttery Greggs pastry filled with KFC's crispy chicken pieces, creamy gravy, and sweetcorn – finished with a flaky top crust. Like a chicken bake on steroids." A third pleaded: "Arghhhhh stop teasing! What is it? Zinger roll? Tell me now." Meanwhile, a fourth Instagram user proposed: "Sausage roll covered in KFC batter and fried to perfection and served with a KFC gravy based chippy curry sauce." And a fifth person proclaimed: "Okay, dipping a Greggs sausage roll in KFC's gravy (I realise while typing this it sounds a bit NSFW)... game changer." While both companies have yet to officially confirm any partnership, KFC replied to Greggs' "oddly satisfying" comment by simply saying: "I agree." Throwing more petrol on the flames, Greggs then responded: "Fancy seeing you here." This marks only Greggs' second major high street tie-up, following their 2022 collaboration with fashion retailer Primark to launch a clothing collection dubbed 'Tasty'. The exclusive range - marking a first in Greggs' 83-year trading history - landed in 60 Primark outlets nationwide during February of that year. At the time, Tim Kelly, Director of New Business Development at Primark, said: "We want to give our customers incredible experiences in our stores and offer collections they can't find anywhere else, with brands we know they love. "We're thrilled to have teamed up with Greggs to bring the Tasty Café to our Birmingham store and give fans of the brand the chance to get their hands on the limited-edition clothing range."
