Oasis dedicate song to Ozzy Osbourne as they begin series of gigs in London

Liam Gallagher told tens of thousands of fans of his pride as the band graced the stage at Wembley Stadium for the first time in more than a decade.
Just three songs into their much-anticipated appearance, he declared the crowd was 'f****** beautiful', having bowed to the sea of raised arms before him.
Liam and brother Noel played with their band for the first of seven nights at the stadium on Friday – with five shows over the next week and two more scheduled in September.

It was the first time they had appeared together onstage at the London venue since July 12 2009, when they performed during their Dig Out Your Soul tour.
Towards the end of the gig, they paid tribute to Osbourne.
Lead singer Liam said: 'I wanna dedicate this one to Ozzy Osbourne, rock 'n' roll star.'
The Black Sabbath star's death at the age of 76 was announced earlier this week.
Oasis superfans in bucket hats and branded T-shirts had packed the Tube en route to the gig from earlier in the day, with international accents denoting the band's worldwide popularity.
As with previous gigs Liam and Noel walked onstage hand in hand, opened with Hello and proceeded to belt out many of their classics including Some Might Say and Morning Glory.

The packed-out stadium was in full voice throughout and at one point Liam threw a tambourine into the jubilant crowd, while later positioning one on top of his head.
Despite pledging to concentrate on his vocals rather than talking – telling those gathered 'every time I open my mouth at these gigs I seem to get myself into a lot of trouble so I'm just going to do the singing' – Liam later engaged in some light football banter.
The well-known Manchester City fan appeared to poke fun at Arsenal fans in the crowd, joking about their position in the Premier league.
Phone camera torches lit up the stadium as darkness fell.
Friday's show – the eighth of the tour – followed a five-night run of homecoming gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park and the two opening shows in Cardiff earlier this month.

Following the first part of their Wembley stint, the band will head up north to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium followed by Dublin's Croke Park.
The group will head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America later in the year.
Oasis announced their reunion tour in August of last year – 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009 which saw Noel quit following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris.
While fans were excited at the Britpop band's reunion, many were left outraged after some standard tickets in the UK and Ireland jumped from £148 to £355.
The controversy prompted the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge to look at the use of dynamic pricing.

Video of Morgan Gibbs-White transfer U-turn gets same response from ALL football fans

Tottenham were seemingly closing in on the signing of Morgan Gibbs-White earlier this month but the Nottingham Forest star has now signed a record contract to stay put Morgan Gibbs-White has officially committed his future to Nottingham Forest - just weeks after the attacking midfielder looked all but certain to join Tottenham. ‌ News broke earlier this month that Spurs had triggered a £60million release clause in the 25-year-old's contract. However, Forest were left angered by what they considered to be an illegal approach from their Premier League rivals for one of their most influential stars. ‌ Gibbs-White has since played for Forest in pre-season as all talk of finalising said move to Spurs went quiet. ‌ And the club have now confirmed that Gibbs-White has signed a club-record three-year deal, putting an end to speculation over the midfielder's future. A video showing Gibbs-White and Evangelos Marinakis, the club's owner, was posted online to announce the news. But some mischievous fans have quipped that the Forest star looked like a 'hostage' in said video. One social media user joked: "Nothing like a hostage video with your captor standing beside you so you don't cry for help! #FreeGibbsWhite". Another poster quipped: "Gibbs-White fake smiling with his owner after being held hostage at Forest just like Olise at Palace." A third football fan said cheekily: "A lot of interesting moments throughout this transfer window. Obviously United's chase of players, Liverpool splashing huge cash, Arsenal always in the news, the Isak situation & a lot more. But I didn't expect a Morgan Gibbs-White hostage video. Never a dull moment". Despite the jokes from fans, Gibbs-White said that he was 'excited' for what's next at Forest after the club qualified for Europe last season. ‌ Speaking to the club's official website, he said: "I've felt at home at Forest from the moment I arrived. The support from the fans, my teammates, and everyone around the club has been unbelievable. "I believe in what we're building here – and with the backing of Mr Marinakis and the enormous ambition he has, I want to be part of making something special. I'm excited for what's to come." Forest owner Marinakis, who posed with Gibbs-White in photos celebrating the new contract, said: "Morgan is a special player – not just in terms of talent, but character and mentality. He represents everything we want this football club to be: he is a winner, talented, ambitious, fearless, and proud. "There was significant interest from various clubs, but we were determined to build our future with Morgan at the heart of it. I promised our fans we would not only compete, but grow stronger and stronger every season. Today is another big step in that journey." Bam Margera admits he's had a 'really rough week' after Hulk Hogan and Ozzy Osbourne's deaths

has admitted to having a 'really rough week' as he mourns the loss of both Hulk Hogan and Ozzy Osbourne. The WWE icon passed away on Thursday at the age of 71 after going into cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Just two days earlier, the Black Sabbath singer died at the age of 76 while 'surrounded by love.' Margera, 45, paid emotional tributes to both the late stars on his Instagram page - and further opened up about their 'shocking' deaths while talking to TMZ in L.A. on Friday. 'It's been a really rough week,' he told the outlet while joined by his wife Dannii Marie. 'Especially with the Hogans. My heart goes out to all of them.' Margera then recalled recently spending the winter down in Florida with Hogan and his family while he 'skated with the pros.' The MTV star said he had crossed paths with Hogan one day who was 'walking around with a cane' and when he mentioned Marie was a stretch therapist, the wrestler said that was something he needed. 'So, we pretty much stayed in Florida the whole winter for the Hogans.' Margera shared memorable moments they had together, including karaoke nights on Mondays which they did 'all the time.' The professional skateboarder added that both he and Hogan had seeing Swedish-American guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen on their 'bucket list' - and were able to watch the musician perform before his death. Margera also remembered attending the wedding of Hogan's son Nick in January, which the WWE legend had also been in attendance at. He admitted that he was still having a hard time processing his sudden passing. 'I'm still - I feel a certain way. I'm still shocked by it all,' the star said, with his wife adding that they had plans to have dinner with Hogan next week. Margera and Hogan had known each other for years, and the pro wrestler had notably posted a tribute to the Jackass star in 2018 initially believing he was dead at the time. Hogan had shared a throwback photo of the pair on Twitter (now X) along with the message: 'D**n Bam I wish you were still with us. I sure would love to hang out again my brother love u miss u HH.' Margera shared memorable moments they had together, including karaoke nights on Mondays which they did 'all the time' However, Hogan later realized that Margera was very much alive and admitted that he had mixed up the skateboarder with his Jackass co-star Ryan Dunn - who passed away in 2011 during a traffic collision. Over on Instagram, Margera shared a tribute to Hogan upon learning of his death along with a slideshow of photos of the pair from over the years. 'I'm crushed. Hulk was more than a hero, he was family to me and my wife,' he penned. 'The world just lost another legend today, and I lost a true brother. It was an absolute honor to take him to see Yngwie Malmsteen, one of his biggest wishes. 'Not many people knew it, but he was a professional musician before he was a professional wrestler. Hulk played in bands and was an incredible studio musician…amazing base player!' Margera added, 'Just so many great memories, like sitting beside him hosting karaoke together at his Hogan's Hangout. 'D**n, I'm gonna miss you man, it hurts. I'll never forget. Rest in power Hulkster. I'll carry your spirit forever.' Margera had also known Osbourne for many years - and the pair notably hosted the 2007 VH1 Rock Honors in Las Vegas together. Earlier this week, the MTV alum shared a picture of both he and Osbourne at the event alongside a moving message. Earlier this week, the MTV alum shared a picture of both he and Osbourne at the event alongside a moving message 'Legends never die. I'm grateful to have shared this moment with Ozzy Osbourne hosting at the VH1 Rock Honors in Vegas.' He continued, 'Rest in power Ozzy… your spirit, your voice, and your madness will echo forever. Jack, Kelly, and Sharon… my wife and I share your pain. Our love and condolences to you.' Hogan's sudden death at the age of 71 in Florida was announced on Thursday, leavings loved ones and fans mourning over the loss. A Clearwater Police Department spokesman said in a statement at the time: 'Clearwater Fire Department and Clearwater Police Department personnel responded to a medical call at 9:51 a.m. today in the 1000 block of Eldorado Avenue on Clearwater Beach. 'The nature of the call was for a cardiac arrest. A 71-year-old resident, Terry Bollea, also known as Hulk Hogan, was treated by Clearwater Fire & Rescue crews before being taken by Sunstar to Morton Plant Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.' A statement on Hogan's main Instagram account also confirmed his passing and read: 'It is with a heavy heart and deep sadness that we confirm we have lost a legend. 'Our beloved Terry Bollea, known worldwide as Hulk Hogan, passed away today surrounded by his loved ones. At this time of grief, we ask that everyone please respect the privacy of his family and friends. 'May we all take solace in the wonderful memories he left behind for the millions of fans worldwide whose lives he touched for more than four decades. He will be missed, but never forgotten.' Hogan had been father to two children: Brooke, 37, and Nick, 34 - whom he shared with ex-wife Linda. They had been married from 1983 to 2009. He later tied the knot with Jennifer McDaniel in 2010 until their divorce in 2021. Two years later, the WWE legend said 'I do' to Sky Daily and the pair were married up until his death on Thursday. Before his death, Hogan had undergone neck surgery and Sky claimed that his heart was 'strong' amid claims he was on his deathbed in a coma. The late star's rep also expressed in a statement, 'He's had problems with his back for years but there's no emergency.' A source told that the WWE icon was trying to get back to '100 percent' following both neck and back surgeries. 'Hulk has a body ravaged by wrestling, his body is the body of a 140-year-old man with all the bumps and bruises through the years, and his recent neck and back surgeries have been harder to come back from,' the insider said. Two days earlier, Osbourne's family released a statement on Tuesday announcing the Black Sabbath singer's death. 'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.' Weeks for his passing, Osbourne gave his final concert in Birmingham and told the crowd in his speech: 'You've no idea how I feel - thank you from the bottom of my heart.' The performer was known for both his popular and controversial moments, such as when he bit the head off a bat live on stage. He has been repeatedly asked about the moment over the years, but long insisted that he thought the bat was a rubber toy rather than a live animal. The Crazy Train singer had been battling Parkinson's disease since 2003.

But this week, he sadly passed away "surrounded by family" at his home with his family after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's. Whether he was biting the head off a bat on stage, hurling raw meat into crowds, or feuding with TV royalty. Here's a look back at the most outrageous and iconic moments in the life of the rock legend. Bat-Biting (1982) 7 This bat-biting incident became a career defining moment for Ozzy Osbourne Credit: Alamy The singer - dubbed the Prince of Darkness - has always played up to his satanic image. So when a fan hurled what he thought was a rubber bat toy at him on stage in January 1982, he put its head in his mouth and chomped. Turned out it was in fact a real bat and he later recalled: 'Immediately, something felt wrong.' There was a foul taste, and he felt the severed head twitch in his mouth. The teenage bat-thrower later insisted it was already dead, but Ozzy always maintained he felt it moving. Ozzy's Death Metal (1995) 7 Ozzy had almost killed a man by tossing a TV out a hotel window Credit: Getty Wild rocker Ozzy had almost killed a man by tossing a TV out a hotel window whilst on his Retirement Sucks! tour in 1995. He was boozing with guitarist Zakk Wylde in Prague unaware of a smoker outside when he decided to throw a TV out of his hotel room. Ozzy and Kelly Osbourne performing their version of Changes together He recalled: 'I am in The Four Seasons and I am watching the TV and I go to Zakk, 'I have never thrown a f****** TV out of the window of a hotel room. Let's f****** do it'. 'So I ripped the window open, picked it up and threw it out of the f****** window. It landed on the floor and f****** exploded. It went like a bomb. 'Little did I know that there was a guy smoking a cigarette and I shudder to think if that had hit him on the head. I would have killed him stone f****** dead.' Meat Throwing (1980's) 7 The rock legend hurled raw meat and animal parts into the crowd Credit: Getty In the Eighties, Ozzy took his fan interaction to a whole new level with a ritual as outrageous as it was unforgettable. The rock legend began hurling raw meat and animal parts into the crowd — all whilst encouraging fans to return the favour with whatever strange items they could sneak into the venue. One being the now-infamous bat incident and whilst some chalked it up to his on-stage theatrics, the truth was far more tongue-in-cheek. He revealed in his documentary The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne, the inspiration came from old slapstick films featuring custard pie fights. He said: 'It gave me this idea to throw, instead of pie, bits of meat and animal parts into the audience. 'I thought it was hilarious. (They'd throw back) sheep testicles, live snakes, dead rats, all kinds of things. Someone once threw a live frog onto onstage, it was the biggest frog I'd ever seen and it landed on its back.' TV Legend Feud (2002) 7 Not yet disgraced TV host and comedian Bill Cosby slammed the Osbourne's family show Credit: Getty Back in 2002 Ozzy and his family created a reality show big enough to rival The Kardashians. The Osbourne's documented the ups and downs of the family's day to day life but not everyone had a good opinion about he show. Not yet disgraced TV host and comedian Bill Cosby slammed the MTV series as "not entertainment". Ozzy later revealed in his autobiography that Cosby had sent a letter scolding the family's use of foul language and supposed bad influence. Wife Sharon was quick to fire back with a letter of her own, pointing out that Cosby wasn't exactly a saint — especially after news of his extramarital affair surfaced in the late nineties. She also called out the hypocrisy of him clutching at straws over swearing whilst TV was drowning in violence. The Alamo (1982) 7 The Birmingham-born rocker was arrested at the site when he decided to publically urinate Back in 1982 a very drunk Ozzy was seen dressed in one of wife Sharon's gowns during a photo shoot near the Alamo — the iconic Texas landmark where outnumbered rebels made their famed last stand against the Mexican army. The Birmingham-born rocker was arrested at the site when he decided to publically urinate. He later returned to the landmark with son Jack with Ozzy admitting he wasn't sure if he actually peed on the memorial as he was "very inebriated". But Ozzy's fears were calmed once they were met by local councilman Robert Trevino who found Ozzy's old police report. He then revealed the star was only charged with public intoxication that day - and never with public urination or public indecency. Dove De-Capitation (1981) 7 Ozzy pulled one of the most bizarre stunts in music history Credit: The Mega Agency A bat isn't the only thing The Black Sabbath Frontman bit into. Back in 1981, during a meeting with CBS Records to celebrate his new solo deal, Ozzy pulled one of the most bizarre stunts in music history. Hoping to make an impression, he arrived at the boardroom carrying two white doves. What was supposed to be a quirky gesture quickly turned into a PR nightmare when he suddenly grabbed one of the doves and bit it's head off. Spitting it onto the conference table in front of label executives and later reportedly did the same to the second dove, he admitted: 'They were all throwing up all over the place. People were freaked.' He was immediately thrown out from the building and whilst the label was appalled, the stunt only added to Ozzy's reputation as rock's most unpredictable wild man.
