Boy's electrocution: House owner & officials booked
Anant, a resident of Muneshwara Block in Ayyappanagar, sustained severe injuries after a broom he tossed up in the air touched the wire on June 16. He was playing outside the house on the third floor of the residential building. He was shifted to the burns ward of Victoria Hospital where he succumbed to injuries on Friday.
His mother, Tuladevi, stated that the third floor where they lived was an illegal construction. "For the greed of rent, house owner Balaraju illegally constructed additional floors. The high-tension wires passed just four feet away from the houses. Balaraju did not bother to take precautionary measures. Also, officials from KPTCL and Bescom, who should have taken precautionary steps to safeguard the public from these high-tension wires, failed in their duty.
BBMP should have acted against the illegal floors," the complaint read.
KR Pura police have booked the suspects under section 106 (Causing death by negligence) of BNS.

Police book RCB player Yash Dayal for rape on Ghaziabad woman's complaint; probe on
Days after a Ghaziabad woman accused Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player Yash Dayal of 'emotionally, mentally, and physically' exploiting her after promising to marry her, the 27-year-old cricketer has been booked for rape, police said on Monday. The woman, on June 21, had filed a complaint through the Chief Minister's online grievance portal, seeking justice for allegedly facing abuse and deception. In her complaint to the police, she alleged that she had been in a relationship with the cricketer for five years. 'He repeatedly made physical relations with me by falsely promising marriage and introduced me to his family, who assured that I would be their daughter-in-law. I maintained the relationship with complete honesty and dedication,' the woman alleged. Despite repeated attempts, the Indian Premier League (IPL) player could not be reached for a comment. The woman also told the police that she was suffering from bouts of depression, for which she sought treatment. 'I tried to end my life many times because I couldn't get out of the mental pain, and he and his family kept giving me false assurances. His relationship with other women caused me deep mental trauma and broke me down,' she alleged. Patil Nimish Dasharath, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Trans-Hindon), Ghaziabad, told The Indian Express that Dayal has recorded his statement before the police. 'We have registered a case under BNS Section 69 (sexual intercourse by deceitful means, including a false promise of marriage) against him and are probing further,' he said. Bouncers Assault Man, His Cousin At Club In CP
New Delhi: A night out at an upscale club in central Delhi's Connaught Place turned violent for a 23-year-old man and his cousin after they were allegedly assaulted and thrown out by bouncers. The alleged incident took place in the early hours of July 2. The complainant, a resident of west Delhi's Tilak Nagar, told police he had gone to the club post-midnight on July 1 with his cousin, a 32-year-old woman. The two were at the venue until about 4am when the alleged incident occurred. According to the FIR, the altercation began after the visitor went to use the restroom and noticed that the flush was broken and water was spilling. A cleaner confronted him, accusing him of damaging the flush. "I told him it was already not working. I even shut off the flush myself," the man said in his complaint. The man's cousin rushed to intervene, but she was allegedly beaten as well. "They threatened to kill me. Both of us were then thrown out of the hotel gate," he alleged in his complaint. The man then dialled the police helpline 112, following which a PCR team arrived at the spot. The two cousins, who were found standing outside the hotel, were taken to a hospital for treatment. According to the FIR, their medical reports noted injuries "allegedly due to physical assault by unknown bouncers" at the club around 4.30am. The duo later approached Connaught Place police station and submitted a formal complaint. A case was registered under sections 115 (voluntarily causing hurt), 126 (wrongful restraint) and 351 (criminal intimidation) of BNS. Police said CCTV footage from the hotel premises is being examined to verify the sequence of events. The exact trigger for the assault remains under investigation. When contacted, there was no response from the club. The hotel, which owns the premises leased out to the club, told TOI, "The club is not affiliated with our hotel and operates entirely as an independent entity. It is rented out by the owning company of the hotel… Our concern lies with the safety of the club's guests, and we are fully cooperating with the authorities during their investigation."
