The daughter of retired Karnataka DGP Om Prakash who was found murdered in April this year, Kruti, allegedly vandalised a milk booth near her home in Bengaluru. Reportedly, Krithika smashed items in the shop and assaulted the owner, who tried to intervene. After her outburst, Kruti allegedly walked back home, calmly.According to sources, Kruti, in an agitated state, broke glass bottles inside a Nandini booth next to her home. Meanwhile, a Non-Cognisable Report — a record of a minor crime where the police cannot arrest or investigate without a magistrate's permission — has been filed against her.
Kruti has been living alone in the house since her father was murdered; her mother is in jail for killing the former DGP and her brother has moved out of the house. Her brother Karthikesh was the one who had pointed the finger at his mother as the killer.During the investigation into Om Prakash's murder, investigators had also suspected Kruti's involvement. However, later only her mother, Pallavi was named as primary accused and was arrested.When the retired police officer's body was discovered, the police had to break open Kruti's door to take her into custody. The incident happened at Dakkhingaon area in Assam's Guwahati in the early hours of Friday. Nandini was reportedly detained on Tuesday after the youth, Samiul Haque, passed away while undergoing treatment. Her arrest was officially recorded on Wednesday, following which Nandini was produced in court. According to news agency PTI, CCTV footage of the accident showed that not only was she speeding at the time, but did not even stop to check on the victim. Eyewitnesses claimed that she fled the scene immediately. She was, however, chased down and confronted by Samiul Haque's friends. GUWAHATI: Assamese actress Nandini Kashyap has been arrested by Guwahati police in connection with a hit-and-run incident that killed an engineering student. Nandini was detained by the police on Tuesday evening and arrested after midnight, hours after the victim, Samiul Haque (21), succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in the city. Charges under Sections 115(2), 125 and 281 of BNS were initially slapped against her. Later, Section 105 of BNS (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) was added. The accident took place on the intervening night of July 25 and 26 in the Dakshingaon area of the city, as the victim was returning home after his part-time job at a streetlight installation site. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Jayanta Sarathi Borah told the media on Wednesday that the traffic police did not know about the accident that night, and Nandini appeared before the police the next morning.
