There's A New Dyson Airwrap – And It's Easier To Use Than Ever
When the first Dyson Airwrap was released in 2018, it's disruptive and game-changing tech quickly earned the seal of approval from a host of A-listers, pro hairstylists and beauty editors. In fact, it's so good, many have attempted to recreate it with their own Dyson Airwrap dupes. Ushering in a new era of hair styling, the tool promised no heat damage thanks to smart heat control which measured airflow temperature over 40 times a second, meaning temperatures are always kept under 150°C. It also engineered its own innovation called the Coanda Effect, which is a phenomenon that occurs when air that is flowing at the right speed and pressure (in this case 110,000rpm) manages to attach itself to the surface it's flowing over. When paired with its assortment of hair attachments, this creates a spinning vortex of air that helps to curl, shape, and smooth hair into place.

Dyson's newest Airwrap technology will be available to buy from September 2025. To be among the first to be notified, you can sign up here to receive a notification as soon as the new Airwrap Co-anda 2x™ becomes available.
The new Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x™ will set you back £579.99. For context, the current Airwrap costs £479.99, so you will be paying £100 more to enjoy the latest technology in the haircare market. But once you wrap your head (well, hair) around the brilliant engineering of the new tool, that eye-watering price tag may look a little more acceptable. Read on...
It seems the next-gen tool can get better. Dyson has updated its Airwrap engine with a Hyperdymium™2 motor, its fastest and most powerful. With an all new aerodynamics package, the seriously impressive piece of kit promises 30% more power by way of air flow and double the amount of pressure for faster drying and styling, all without increasing noise levels. Put simply, the system spins nine times faster than a Formula 1 car engine.
It's kept up with the times, too. Now enhanced with A1-driven sensors, the Airwrap2x™ is embedded with an all new Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) chip which detects the best temperature and airflow setting to protect your hair type. There are also two new filter sensors fitted into the tool to tell you when it's attached properly and when it needs cleaning, as well as a temperature sensor that measures air temperatures 1000 times per second to maintain heat levels.
It comes with six attachments in both the Straight+Wavy and Curly+Coily sets, carefully crafted to control twice the air pressure for optimal styling. It's also possible to buy separate attachments if there's one you want which isn't in the original set.
Sameeha Shaikh using the original Dyson Airwrap
Sameeha Shaikh, beauty writer, says: 'As a longtime fan of the original, I jumped at the news of a new and improved Dyson Airwrap. Having used the OG every week since I got my hands on one, I have come to rely on its ability to easily and efficiently dry and style my hair in record time. It doesn't matter if I fancy rocking a bouncy blowout or romantic curls, my Airwrap quickly helps me to create the look with little to no faff. Restricting heat damage is super important to me as my number one priority is to maintain the healthy feel and shine of my long hair, so I am intrigued to discover how the new Dyson Airwrap Co-anda 2x will bolster that protection with an all-new sensor system, which helps to take the guesswork out of styling. While I love my Airwrap, I'm not the best at remembering to clean out the filter, which, from experience, if poorly maintained can actually ruin your tool completely. So, I welcome the addition of the sensor which will help me to keep on top of things. Everything considered, Dyson seem to have really up the ante once again with its newest offering.'

How to get Amazon Prime Day 2025 best deals with early discounts available
Check out our handy guide to getting the best discounts ahead of Prime Day 2025. It's the moment bargain hunters wait most of the year for, as Amazon's annual Prime Day sale is officially about to go live for its eleventh year in a row. Running across four days from July 8 to July 11, the mammoth event offers thousands of discounts, offering shoppers the chance to save big on everything from Amazon devices and tech gadgets to homeware and beauty products. One of the biggest catches of the sale is that, unlike a few others run by the delivery firm, it is exclusively available to those with a Prime membership only, with a 30-day free trial available to new sign-ups. However, one of the main benefits of signing up will, of course, be all the discounts that can be found across top-rated brands such as Shark, Dyson, L'Oréal Paris, Ninja and much, much more. Seasoned shoppers will know by now that there are many ways to ensure they are getting the best deal, but for newcomers, and as a refresher, we have provided below a curated guide on how to make sure no deals get missed out this Prime Day. How to get the best deals in the Amazon Prime Day sale Sign up for Amazon Prime: It should come as no surprise that, to ensure shoppers don't miss out, then the number one tip is to officially become a Prime member, if they don't already have an account. Even better, new members can opt for a 30-day free trial that will give them exclusive access to the sale, and they can even choose to cancel the membership after Prime Day ends. However, shoppers who choose to remain a member will continue to receive exclusive deals and discounts for as little as £8.99 per month, while students and young adults aged 18-22 will be charged just £4.49. Download the app : Another key tip that can help shoppers make the most of the sale is to download the Amazon app, which is free for both iOS and Android smartphones. This allows for members to receive personalised deal alerts and notifications on wish list items that have gone on sale, allowing them to never miss a deal when on-the-go. Create a wish list: There's no denying that many of us often have particular items that we are hoping come down in the sale, which is why it can be handy to create a curated list of products you are interested in. All shoppers need to do is simply add items to their 'Wish List' under their Amazon account, as this allows them to track any price changes that might occur. Set up notifications: Another basic, yet still handy tip is to make sure that notifications on the mobile app have been enabled for wish list items and products previously viewed. Top early deals now available to buy ahead of Prime Day 2025 While we may still have less than 24-hours to wait, there is still a plethora of deals available that shoppers can take advantage of ahead of Prime Day 2025 tomorrow, July 8. This hair dryer delivers a high-quality blow dry, helping customers achieve that silky, smooth look. Designed with simplicity and performance in mind, it makes styling quick and effortless, so shoppers can enjoy salon-worthy results right at home. Equipped with integrated ionic technology, this dryer reduces drying time while enhancing hair's texture. The ionic conditioning helps smooth the hair cuticle, leaving shoppers with frizz-free, sleek and shiny styles that last all day. Once hair is styled, shoppers can lock in the look with a blast of cool air from the essential cool shot button. This feature helps set the style in place, ensuring it stays fresh and intact from morning until night. The drying experience can also be tailored with three adjustable heat settings and two-speed options. Whether shoppers want a gentle dry or a powerful blast, this dryer offers versatility to suit all hair types and styling preferences. There are many alternatives such as the Dyson Supersonic r hair dryer for £449.99 which comes with five attachments, is Dyson's lightest and powerful hair dryer yet, and is said to offer precision drying for a smoother finish. Another option is the Shark SpeedStyle Pro FLEX 4-in-1 High Velocity Hair Dryer System for £199.99 from Shark which is a powerful, lightweight hair dryer for all hair types. A third option could be a cheaper choice, the Alivio Lightweight Hair Dryer for £19.99 from Debenhams. This is said to deliver strong airflow for fast-drying hair and comes with three nozzles. Shoppers have rated the Remington Hair Dryer Ionic D3198 with a high 4.5 out of 5 star rating, however. One person said: "Absolutely love this Remington hair dryer! The 2200W power ensures fast drying, and the ionic conditioning leaves my hair smooth and frizz-free. "The multiple heat and speed settings make it super versatile, and the cool shot locks in my style. The included diffuser and concentrator are perfect for different styling needs. Highly recommend for professional-quality results at home!" Another wrote: "Great dryer. Diffuser fits well." "Lightweight and powerful. Extremely easy to use," said another. Despite this, some other people disagreed as one shopper wrote: "Good hairdryer, but I find it awkward as switches are opposite to what I'm used to, and I keep pressing the cold air by mistake." While another said: "Not a bad hairdryer but the nozzle connection is poor." The Remington Hair Dryer Ionic D3198, however, has been rated highly by many, and with the early Prime Day deal, it could be a steal for shoppers.

'I tried Dyson's cheapest fan - it's been a lifeline in the heat'
The Dyson Cool CF1 is the brand's most affordable bladeless fan - but is it worth the £249.99 price tag? Here's our honest review after testing it in a heatwave As someone who really quite struggles in the heat (I'm a redhead), a good fan is an absolute lifesaver. And while I've tried and tested plenty of different makes and models over the years, the Dyson Cool CF1 is certainly the most sophisticated of them all. I must admit, I'm no tech whizz, but I'm not a technophobe either, and do appreciate a good, functional gadget - see also: my Swan Alexa-compatible voice activated kettle. I'm also quite a fan of Dyson devices, and while the jury is still out on their cordless Corrale straighteners, I could write page after page about how much I adore the Supersonic hairdryer, or how their V8 vacuum is a godsend for pet owners. Perhaps that's why I was drawn to the new Dyson Cool CF1 i n the first place. Dyson's latest reimagining of its iconic bladeless fan is its smallest and most affordable cooling device. But is it worth it? The Dyson Cool CF1 costs £249.99, which is definitely no small investment. Most fans I've picked up in the past have cost £50 or less and very much deliver on their promises, so what makes this one so special? Over a decade ago, Dyson rewrote the fan rulebook by banishing blades altogether. Now, with the CF1, they've taken that legacy and made it smarter, safer, and more efficient. The first thing my parents and I said when we put the fan together (which was insanely easy to do) was how safe it was, not just for our two dogs, but for my very curious 18-month-old nephew, too. We're at no risk of tails or tiny fingers getting caught by sharp blades with the CF1. Dyson Cool CF1 £249.99 Dyson Buy here Product Description Instead of using blades, the Dyson has an energy-efficient DC motor that draws air in, which then exits the loop amplifier as a high-velocity jet. As the jet of air leaves the front of the loop amplifier, more air is drawn from the surroundings, amplifying the initial airflow by up to 13 times. As such, it's powerful, delivering up to 370 litres of airflow per second, but without that choppy, wind-tunnel feel you get from traditional bladed fans. It really has been a lifeline in the recent heatwave. Another bladeless benefit has to be the cleaning. Many alternative fans often find themselves caked in dust and difficult to clean, but we don't get that issue with the Dyson fan. The CF1 has a simple loop amplifier that you just wipe down, with no need for screwdrivers or dismantling, much to my dad's delight. Another standout that sets the Dyson apart from its competitors is its undeniably chic design - as to be expected from the tech giant, whose appliances not only function exceptionally but look good doing it too. It has a short stand and wide round circular 'head', which is ideal for placing on the floor or on bedside tables. However, for those with limited space, a tall, slim tower fan might be better suited. Dyson does have their own Cool Tower Fan for £349.99, however, for something more affordable, Dunelm offers the Vybra Dual Height Oscillator Cooling Fan for £69. Shoppers say it is 'powerful for the price' and praise the remote control that comes with it. Alternatively, at Amazon, the Dreo 28dB Silent Tower Fan comes in at £74.99. With a 25ft/s air speed, the tower fan blows cold air, providing refreshing breezes to chill your space quickly, making it perfect for hot summer days or stuffy indoor areas. Back to the Dyson design though, I'm a big fan of the fact it can be controlled remotely, meaning no need to get on my hands and knees in the heat to faff with settings. The LCD screen displays the speed of the fan, of which there are 10 settings, with options to oscillate between 15 and 70°. There's also a nighttime mode ideal for bedtime, which sets the fan to speed 4, which is the ultimate combination of whisper quiet while still being effective in its cooling abilities. If I were being picky, one of the only negatives would be that some of the higher speeds are a little noisy, requiring turning up the TV, but it's no louder than other fans I've used. In all, it's very user-friendly, efficient, super lightweight and, let's be honest, feels pretty satisfying to use, even for someone who usually doesn't care about tech. On the Dyson website, it's already been racking up a number of five-star reviews. One said: 'This fan arrived last week for me and with this continuous hot spell I am appreciating it every afternoon as the sun hits my home office. It's quiet enough, even on high power, to not affect calls or sleep if I move it to the bedroom at night.' 'I love the new CF1,' another declared, 'Its powerful airflow is just what I needed in my apartment that gets very hot in summer months. It's portable and very easy to control using the remote, meaning I don't have to get out of bed to turn it off if it's positioned across the room. The design is safe and even my furry dog loves it. It's so quiet also, the best night's sleep I've had in ages.' One shopper at John Lewis said it 'doesn't actually cool' but still left a five-star rating adding: 'Provides good airflow and is comparatively quiet.' And I have to say, if the room is already stifling, the fan can only really circulate the air already in the room. Dyson said: 'Designed to work seamlessly with air conditioning, the Dyson Cool CF1 enhances airflow to create a more comfortable and evenly cooled environment. Whether used alone or as a complement to existing cooling systems, its innovative engineering ensures customisable comfort and improved circulation.' Another shopper added: 'This is a wonderfully designed fan. If you have young children or pets around or are noise or dust-sensitive, this is the fan for you, or even if you don't. It's very quiet, easy to control. I really like the remote. It makes it handy to control it from bed. It stores by magnet to the top too. You can also adjust the fan's angle. Most importantly it makes the room cooler.' Another fan I rate is the Honeywell TurboForce Power Fan. Usually £32.49, it's currently £28.99 on Amazon, saving 11% off the RRP ahead of Amazon Prime Day next week (July 8-11). It's not its lowest-ever price, having previously been available for as little as £18.49, but for under £30, it's still worth every penny, in my opinion. However, if you're looking for a more premium cooling gadget, the Shark FlexBreeze TableMate Indoor to Outdoor High-Velocity Tabletop Fan currently has £50 off, down to £99.99 instead of £149.99. As for the Dyson, while I'm seriously impressed with the functionality and features, it is a very expensive fan. If you just want a blast of air on a tight budget, there are far cheaper options, but if you're after an appliance that slots seamlessly into a room, is powerful, quiet, and family-friendly, the Dyson Cool CF1 ticks all of those boxes.
