H&M x Mia Regan collab brings summer fun and travel to life

Fashion Network9 hours ago
For summer, H&M has re-engaged with Mia Regan to co-design a wardrobe targeting 'vacations and fun times' launching 17 July.
In what has been a 'deeply personal and creative journey' for the British fashion content creator and model, we're told Regan brought everything to the project (her own first-concept hand-drawn illustrations, moodboards, silhouette ideas, design details and colour palettes right up to final fittings). The H&M x Mia Regan capsule collection hits stores and online next week.
The collection includes a range of slip dresses, knit separates, cargo trousers, capris, shorts, skirts, swimwear and tops teamed with with slouchy bags, a rope belt and printed scarves in a colour palette of sunny yellow, earthy tones and silver.
Asymmetric shapes and utilitarian references come with playful detailing and key pieces include a yellow bias-cut slip dress with a crisscross back, a silver lurex knitted set of twisted top and skirt with asymmetric hems and tie-up closures, a pair of capris with asymmetric cargo pockets and utilitarian details, and a taupe sleeves maxi-dress with tie-up sides and an illustrated star on the front.
Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor and head of design for womenswear at H&M, said: 'Mia's style is eclectic – she has a great eye for details and very instinctive way of mixing different elements. She wanted an ease in the collection that reflected her own style, which is unpretentious, fun and full of positive energy. It was so inspiring to see how this good friend of the brand explored her creativity through the whole design process.'
Regan added that they've built a wardrobe "drawing inspiration from my travels to bohemian Ibiza, dancing at British festivals, retro movies, and sun-soaked European holidays with friends. Some of the illustrations in this collection come directly from my own film photos.'

Mango boosts UK expansion with Chester debut

As it accelerates its global retail strategy, Mango has launched a new womenswear store in Chester, marking its debut in the historic English city and reinforcing its long-term focus on the UK market. Located at the Broughton shopping centre in north-western England, the new store marks Mango's entry into Chester with a space dedicated entirely to womenswear. The boutique adopts the brand's signature New Med design concept, blending Mediterranean warmth with sustainable materials and a fluid architectural layout. Shoppers will find a curated mix of new arrivals and enduring wardrobe staples from Mango's women's collections. Mango has maintained a steady presence in the UK since 1999, steadily expanding its retail footprint. By the close of 2024, the brand expects to operate over 80 bricks-and-mortar locations nationwide, complementing its online channels and third-party partnerships. The Chester opening forms part of Mango's 4E Strategic Plan (2024–2026), which targets surpassing 100 UK stores by the end of the year. The brand's expansion ambitions reach far beyond the UK. In recent weeks, Mango has launched five new stores across Italy—in Teramo, Naples, Sicily, and Chieti —further strengthening its presence in key southern European cities. Simultaneously, it continues to grow in the United States, marking a milestone last June with the opening of its 50th location in the country. Founded in 1984 by Isak Andic, Mango now has a footprint in over 120 markets worldwide, supported by a global network of more than 2,800 stores. In fiscal year 2024, the company reported revenue of €3.339 billion, reflecting a 7.6% year-on-year increase. As part of its current strategic roadmap, Mango aims to achieve €4 billion in annual sales and open 500 new stores globally by the end of 2026.

Balibaris: Experienced Capital sells its shares, a French family office joins the capital

"I would like to thank ECP for its contribution to the structuring of Balibaris. Their support has been decisive in increasing our reach and setting the brand on the path to success that it is today," said founder, Paul Szczerba. "I'm delighted to be starting this new chapter. This partnership is an exceptional opportunity to accelerate our long-term vision based on the founding values built by Balibaris." The brand, present in the French department store networks Galeries Lafayette and Printemps, claims to have continued its growth since 2023, notably via a 40% increase in digital sales in the last financial year, and states that it has 65 points of sale overall. The company's stated ambition is to consolidate its digital growth and expand into export markets, where it has four outlets in London and one in Brussels. Headed by Hortense Verspyck for the past two years, who has linked the brand to its original inspiration - classic cinema - the brand aims to attract new European customers. Several organizational elements have also evolved in recent months, with investments in e-commerce services and logistics. The men's brand was one of the first investments made by the fund founded by former SMCP directors Emmanuel Pradère, Frédéric Biousse and Elie Kouby. In recent years, Experienced Capital has sold its stakes in several brands, including Jimmy Fairly, Soeur and Sessun. It retains stakes in Le Slip Français and Figaret, in the fashion sector, and in Oh My Cream and L:A Bruket, in the beauty sector. It has also invested in leisure, decoration, and catering.
