Senior military nurse detained for alleged rape of minor at Rabat hospital
Last week, the Public Prosecutor at the Rabat Court of Appeal ordered the pre-trial detention of a Royal Armed Forces Senior Sergeant (Adjudant-Chef), who is implicated in a case involving the rape of a minor.
The incident occurred at the Mohammed V Military Teaching Hospital in Rabat, where the 14-year-old victim was receiving medical treatment. According to Assabah newspaper, the accused, who was responsible for her care and worked as a chief nurse, lured the minor and sexually assaulted her.
Upon learning of the incident, the victim's family turned to the judiciary, where the accused was interrogated on charges related to «luring a minor, sexual harassment, indecent assault without violence, and abuse of power». The investigating judge ordered his detention and transferred him to Tamesna Prison after confronting him with evidence confirming his involvement in the crime.
The minor's family, from the city of Errachidia, had taken their daughter to the military hospital for treatment immediately after Eid al-Fitr. It was decided to keep her at the health facility, where the chief nurse exploited his position to sexually harass and later indecently assault her.
The first detailed interrogation session for the accused is scheduled for the end of this month, where he will be confronted with the minor in the presence of her father.

Moroccan FAR drone neutralizes Polisario attackers after Es-Semara assault
A new chapter has emerged in the attack carried out by Polisario armed elements on Friday, June 27, targeting civilian areas in Es-Semara. The perpetrators behind the launch of five projectiles did not make it back to the Tindouf camps unscathed. «A Royal Armed Forces (FAR) drone, conducting a routine surveillance mission in the region, immediately tracked the vehicle carrying the Polisario attackers responsible for Friday's strike», a Moroccan security source told Yabiladi. «A missile fired by the unmanned aircraft completely destroyed the vehicle and its occupants. The exact toll of the airstrike, which occurred east of the Sand Wall, has yet to be confirmed». Shortly before the strike, the assailants, traveling in a vehicle, fired five rockets—believed to be of Iranian origin—on the city of Es-Semara. One projectile landed near a MINURSO barracks, but no casualties or material damage were reported.

Fez travel agency owner charged with defrauding couple over Hajj visas
The owner of a travel agency in Fez has been referred to the public prosecutor after allegedly defrauding a couple out of 264,000 dirhams intended for two Hajj visas that were never delivered. The court has postponed the hearing to June 23 to give the accused time to appoint a lawyer and review the case file. The couple filed a complaint with the police, supporting their claim with voice recordings of conversations exchanged via messaging apps, which reportedly confirmed the agreement to arrange their pilgrimage before the suspect disappeared and shut down the agency, according to the newspaper Assabah. An investigation by the Financial and Economic Crimes Unit of the Fez Security Directorate led to the arrest of the suspect, who admitted to receiving the money in installments via bank transfers to his company's account. He blamed the failure to honor the agreement on a Saudi company, claiming it had not fulfilled its end of the deal. The accused also stated that he issued six checks totaling 262,000 dirhams to the couple as a financial guarantee while awaiting the outcome of the dispute.

FAR drone strikes Polisario vehicle near Sand Wall
A Royal Armed Forces (FAR) drone struck a Polisario vehicle on Thursday, June 19. «The operation took place in the Karzaze region, near Mijek, east of the Sand Wall. The outcome of the strike remains unknown for now», a source familiar with the matter told Yabiladi. According to the same source, the Polisario elements had first crossed into Mauritanian territory clandestinely, intending to carry out an operation against Moroccan positions, before being targeted by the FAR drone. However, a Polisario-affiliated media outlet offered a different version of events, claiming the Moroccan drone targeted a «civilian vehicle» in the same area. It's worth noting that FAR drones had already targeted Polisario vehicles in Karzaze on May 29. This latest operation comes just 24 hours after Brahim Ghali presided over the graduation ceremony of a new cohort of the Front's armed militias on Wednesday.
