Two amateur photographers from county picked for exhibition

Two amateur photographers from Suffolk have been picked for an exhibition. Their work will be showcased at the 'fusion:' exhibition, which brings together one visual artist and 10 photographers to independently capture the same location. The exhibition explores the 'intersection of urban landscape art and photography', featuring 20 original collaborative works displayed together for the first time. The images, highlighting locations along the Suffolk coastline, Maldon, and surrounding areas, blend painted expression with photographic detail. The artist, Mike Parker, and the photographers, hailing from Essex and Suffolk, range from professionals to amateurs. The two Suffolk amateurs will be displaying images of Covehithe beach and Sizewell for the first time. The exhibition opening night will take place on July 10 at The Maeldune Heritage Centre, Maldon, and aims to be a 'conversation in creativity.' The event runs from July 11-29, open Tuesdays to Saturdays, 11am-4pm, with free entry. For more information, contact Mr Parker on 07846 207925 or email mikeparker.4x4@

Kensington Palace Shares Eye-Catching Pics of Prince William—and Just Wait Until You See His Surprise Date

When it comes to Prince William, we are never short on good photos. Whether it was this week at the Royal Ascot, earlier this month visiting the Army Air Corps or those timeless black-and-white portraits that radiate pure royal energy, he's got the photogenic thing down. Still, who's going to complain about one more? Definitely not me. And thankfully, Kensington Palace just delivered. On Thursday, June 19, the Palace shared a new carousel of photos from William's visit to Earthshot Prize finalist Colorifix. And let's just say: the lead image is a whole moment. Prince William, in a lab coat, focused, listening, and surrounded by blurred-out beakers and lab gear. Total scroll-stopper. But the eye candy doesn't stop there. Because guess what? He wasn't flying solo on this visit—and no, it wasn't his wife Princess Catherine. The Prince of Wales was joined by none other than Australian actor and all-around icon Cate Blanchett. If you're wondering what the connection is there, Cate is actually a council member for the Earthshot Prize, the environmental initiative Prince William founded to spotlight big, bold, world-saving ideas. Eddie Mulholland -In the caption, Kensington Palace gave more context, writing: 'A visit to the brilliant @colorifix_ today with @earthshotprize Council Member Cate Blanchett. An Earthshot Prize 2023 Finalist, Colorifix use cutting-edge DNA science to revolutionise fabric dyeing.' The Palace also shared a short video recapping their visit. And this isn't the first time Prince William has had a bit of a surprising plus-one. Earlier this month, he made an appearance at the Royal Cornwall Show with Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. No matter who's by his side, one thing's for sure—Prince William always shows up looking sharp. Whether he's rocking a classic suit or switching it up with a lab coat, the man knows how to serve polished royal energy every single time.
