Congressman Barry Moore to host Veterans Benefits Fair in Daphne
Orange Beach City Schools names Chris Laatsch Assistant Athletic Director
has learned the fair will take place this coming Friday, April 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the City of Daphne Council Chambers on Main Street.
There will be a wide variety of vendors at the fair from Virginia and Baldwin County.
According to the release, the vendors from Virginia include:
Aide and Attendance
Community Care
Dental
Hearing Aides
Physical Therapy
Prosthetics
Travel Pay
The vendor from Baldwin County will be a Veteran Service Officer to discuss VA Disability Compensation Vet's Recover.

Mobile mayoral candidate Spiro Cheriogotis tops other candidates in fundraising
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — With seven weeks until election day, Spiro Cheriogotis has more money to spend than the three other mayoral candidates in Mobile have combined. Annual Blue Marlin Grand Championship returning to Orange Beach Recent financial filings with the Alabama Secretary of State show the former District Court judge received $125,545 in cash donations in June and now has a balance of $698,700. County Commissioner Connie Hudson raised $70,665 in June and now has a balance of $419,120. State Representative Barbara Drummond received $54,100 in cash contributions last month. She now has a $160,000 balance. Former Police Chief Paul Prine has $108,300 to spend after raising $45,900 in June. Cheriogotis has now raised $937,700 during the entirety of the campaign. Hudson has gotten $446,200 in donations and brought over $158,000 from her campaign funds for previous county commission races. Drummond transferred $30,000 from her state representative campaign funds and has raised another $149,250. Prine has raised $137,670 total. Mobile mayoral candidate Spiro Cheriogotis takes a sizeable lead in campaign contributions
MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Spiro Cheriogotis extended his financial advantage over Mobile's five other mayoral candidates last month, according to campaign finance filings with the Alabama Secretary of State. Orange Beach Billfish Classic ends with record purse Cheriogotis, a former Mobile County District Judge, received cash contributions of $231,000 in May, three times more than the next candidate was able to raise, and more than the other five candidates combined. County Commissioner Connie Hudson received cash contributions of $75,200. Former Mobile Police Chief Paul Prine raised $40,900. State Representative Barbara Drummond received $29,300 in cash donations. Former City Councilman Jermaine Burrell raised $22,300. Former Police Chief Lawrence Battiste received $1,750 in cash donations. With the election 11 weeks out, Cheriogotis has almost more cash on hand than his five opponents combined. His campaign balance at the end of May was $676,400. Hudson had $397,600 on hand, Drummond $129,200, Burrell $75,700, Prine $69,100 and Battiste $5,700. Hudson carried over $158,000 from her last campaign for County Commissioner. Drummond brought $30,000 from her State Representative campaign balance. Baldwin County's first Safe Haven baby box blessed in Daphne Cheriogotis has been endorsed by outgoing Mayor Sandy Stimpson who is not running for a fourth four-year term.
