'Time to bring in Kuldeep Yadav': Ex-India cricketers drop big hint ahead of 2nd Test at Edgbaston
Kuldeep Yadav (BCCI Photo) NEW DELHI: Will Jasprit Bumrah feature in the second Test against England? What changes will India make after their defeat in the first Test? Will Kuldeep Yadav be brought into the mix? Who might be left out of the playing XI? These are some of the many questions being asked as India look to bounce back and level the series 1-1 when the second Test begins at Edgbaston in Birmingham on July 2. The Indian team management has already stated that Bumrah, due to workload management and his injury history, will only play three of the five Tests — although it's still unclear which matches those will be. Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. SUBSCRIBE NOW! In the first Test at Leeds, Bumrah took a five-wicket haul in the first innings but went wicketless in the second, bowling nearly 44 overs in total as England chased down 371. Kuldeep Yadav's exclusion from the first Test raised eyebrows, but after the loss, he is now being strongly considered for inclusion in the second Test, with the surface in Birmingham expected to assist spinners. 'Kis tarah se hum Kuldeep Yadav ko team la sakte hain ["How can we bring Kuldeep Yadav into the team?]. The team will have to give some thought to how we can bring Kuldeep Yadav into the XI, because judging by the approach we saw from the England batters in the first Test, Kuldeep — who bowls wrist spin — could be effective. Historically, England's batters haven't played wrist spin particularly well. So that is definitely something worth considering,' former India cricketer Sanjay Bangar said on Star Sports. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Bring home all new SP125 & get an instant cashback up to ₹5000# Honda Learn More Undo Kuldeep Yadav spins it tight at Edgbaston Former India batter Subramaniam Badrinath believes India should bring in both Kuldeep and pacer Arshdeep Singh for the Edgbaston Test. "I think one change could be replacing Shardul — I'd definitely look to include a bowler. And maybe instead of Prasidh Krishna, I'd look to add some variety. So probably, my changes would be Arshdeep Singh and Kuldeep Yadav coming into the XI. But then again, the final XI will depend on the conditions," Badrinath said. India's five-match Test series against England began with the first game at Headingley, Leeds, from June 20 to 24, where England secured a five-wicket win. The second Test will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham, from July 2 to 6, followed by the third at Lord's, London, from July 10 to 14. The fourth Test is scheduled at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, from July 23 to 27, and the final Test will be held at the Kennington Oval, London, from July 31 to August 4. 'No racists in disguise': Silky publicly bans Mizkif from FaZe's 4th of July party over past behaviour
(Image via @SilkySzn/X & @yoxics/X) The FaZe House 4th of July bash is shaping up to be one of the biggest streamer events of the summer—but not everyone's on the guest list anymore. Twitch streamer and FaZe Clan member Silky just made it crystal clear: Mizkif is not welcome. His reason? 'We do not f**k with weird people.' And he didn't hold back. Silky Draws the Line In a recent stream, Silky dropped a bomb that shook the Twitch and YouTube communities. Reacting to a list of invitees revealed by fellow FaZe member Lacy, Silky took serious issue with one name in particular—Mizkif. Without mincing words, Silky said, 'Mizkif tries to walk through that door, he's not getting in. Straight up.' He made it known that while others in FaZe might be open to having the OTK co-founder around, he personally wouldn't tolerate it. And it wasn't just about preference—he implied there were deeper reasons. 'No Racists in Disguise' Silky went a step further and didn't hold back on the reasoning. He accused Mizkif of being a 'racist in disguise,' pointing to past controversies that still follow the OTK founder today. While he didn't detail specific incidents, the implication was loud enough: 'Have you seen this n***a when it comes to Black people? Come on, bro,' Silky said bluntly. 'No racists in disguise in the crib.' Silky emphasized he wasn't being petty—just protective of his space. The message was loud: the FaZe House isn't here for performative apologies or questionable reputations. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like India's first integrated Power Backup Solution - Livguard Lithium-X Livguard Shop Now Undo A Divided House? What makes this situation more chaotic is that Mizkif was apparently already on the guest list. Lacy, another FaZe member, had reportedly given him the green light. That move clearly blindsided Silky, who publicly retracted the invite. 'I seen Lacy invited him? I'm retracting that sh t. It's not happening, king,'* he said, clearly irritated. This unexpected drama could signal a split in how FaZe members are managing the party—and who gets to decide who's in or out. Who Is Attending? Despite the drama, the FaZe 4th of July bash still promises a star-studded lineup. Confirmed guests include Twitch favs like Sketch, Cinna, and N3on. Even Plaqueboymax is expected to make an appearance, marking his return from hiatus. The party is shaping up to be huge, but one thing's clear: Mizkif won't be anywhere near the FaZe house. Raphinha praises Nico Williams amid possible Barcelona move: Player of highest quality
Barcelona's attacking star, Raphinha, is not surprised that the club is linked to the signing of Spanish forward Nico Williams, as he deems the winger to be a player of the highest the start of the 2024-25 season, the Spanish giants have been linked with the transfer, and reports suggest that the move could finally happen soon. Many will also be keen on seeing how the side will line up, considering that Raphinha had taken the left-wing role, albeit playing with more freedom, while Lamine Yamal tends to stick to the right no coincidence that he's being considered to play with us at Barcelona and for the Spanish national team. He's a player of the highest quality. He has a very high level, a lot of quality," Raphinha was quoted as saying by Mundo Deportivo. Should the Spaniard make the switch, Raphinha remains unfazed and would welcome his arrival. Instead, he wants to nurture a culture within the team where everyone is willing to put in the work and not play for their self-interest."There's no room for sadness or depression about anything, with the arrival of one or another. As I said, any teammate who arrives intending to work hard to help the team will be very welcome, both by me and by the other players. That's the most important thing," he star attacker also opened up about how players have not had the chance to celebrate their major victories properly due to the hectic scheduling with the addition of the FIFA Club World Cup. He mentioned how some of his national teammates from PSG have yet to celebrate their Champions League victory as well."Giving up vacations out of obligation is complicated. For example, PSG's Marquinhos and Beraldo played in the Champions League final; they didn't even get to celebrate properly, and they travelled here to South America to play for their national team. The second game ended, and they came back straight to represent their club and play in the World Cup. They haven't stopped yet," he now, Raphinha and the club are enjoying some time away from the pitch as they are not participating in the FIFA Club World Cup. With some time off, Raphinha hopes that he can get back to his best form at the start of the new season and once again show why he is amongst the best in the world, regardless of whether the club sign Nico Williams or not.- Ends
