This Chicago pizza favorite was just named one of the best pizzerias in America
There's much debate in the Windy City around who serves up the best pizza: Is it Giordano's, Pequod's, Gino's East, Lou Malnati's? What about Milly's Pizza in the Pan, The Art of Pizza, or Rosati's? Pizza politics run deep in the City of Big Shoulders. Certain heavy hitters have always been fan favorites, but according to 50 Top Pizza, one Chicago-based pizza restaurant was worthy enough to top all of those local favorites in its Guide to the Best Pizzerias in the World.
The top three award winners for best pizzerias overall, celebrated at an award ceremony at New York City's West Edge inside Chelsea Market, are Una Pizza Napoletana in New York City, Pizzeria Sei in Los Angeles, and Tony's Pizza Napoletana in San Francisco, with L'Industrie Pizzeria in NYC earning the coveted Best Pizza Slice accolade. But Chicagoland held its own: Three award-winning pizzerias were represented on this year's list, with Chicago's Robert's Pizza and Dough Co. —located along the Ogden Slip in Streeterville—cracking the top ten at No. 6.
It's not the first time that the local spot has featured on the list; it was ranked tenth in last year's lineup. Though every order is a good one, Robert's is arguably best-known for its Rita pie, which features house-made sausage, pork from Slaggel Farm, fresh basil, Italian buffalo mozzarella and a slow-roasted plum tomato. Robert's sixth-place win earns the restaurant a coveted spot in the 100 Best Pizzerias in the World ranking. Winners will be invited to the Teatro Mercadante in Naples on September 8 for the 50 Top Pizza World 2025 awards ceremony.
Elsewhere on the 2025 guide was Coda di Volpe (coming in at No. 44) and Jimmy's Pizza Cafe (singled out as one of the country's best slice shops, ranked at No. 12).
'Year after year we are noticing changes in pizzerias across the United States that have led to increasingly interesting ideas and that are good for the entire industry,' said Barbara Guerra, Luciano Pignataro and Albert Sapere, the three curators of 50 Top Pizza, in an official statement. 'We would also like to mention that the different styles of pizza that our inspectors get to enjoy are also getting more numerous; this is a good thing because it creates a wider variety for the customer.'

Our source said: "It's becoming increasingly obvious that the former photographer's loyalties don't lie with his parents and siblings", but adds that it isn't surprising given he is now married. They continued: 'He just doesn't feel his family have treated Nicola well and now that he's grown so close to her family in the States, he doesn't really feel like he fits into the Beckham family right now. "If Harper's wish is to have her brother at home for her big day, sadly, she's probably going to be disappointed.' There's been plenty of family affection flying around on the Beckhams' social media channels, most recently when David paid tribute to Victoria on their wedding anniversary and tagged Brooklyn in the caption. However, Brooklyn has, so far, stayed silent despite being very vocal on Instagram when it comes to Nicola's billionaire family. In posts, which some have said are twisting the knife, Brooklyn has wished both his brother-in-law and father-in-law Happy Birthday recently despite snubbing his own dad's milestone. He also fuelled the feud rumours by posing for a new photoshoot for Italian brand, Moncler, which was shot in London in May just two miles from the Beckham's family home in Notting Hill - and only one mile away from David, who was at the Chelsea Flower Show at the time.

No.10 seed Ben Shelton overcame Martin Fucsovics in straight sets at Wimbledon on Saturday evening before issuing a plea to the Court One crowd which prompted boos Ben Shelton will have his lucky charm with him when he takes on Lorenzo Sonego in the last 16 of Wimbledon after his public plea came good. Shelton beat Martin Fucsovics on Saturday evening 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-2 to equal his best ever run at Wimbledon – and he has put his form down to his comfort off the court. The American left-hander served rockets and powered his way past the world No.105 on Court One. The No.10 seed is yet to drop a set in wins over Alex Bolt, Rinky Hijikata and Fucsovics and will be the favourite when he takes on Sonego on Monday after the Italian clinched a five-set win. Sonego battled past Brandon Nakashima in the longest match of the tournament so far, at five hours and four minutes. And if he is going to reach the quarter finals then Sonego will have to overcome Shelton and his lucky charm: his sister Emma. Speaking to BBC interviewer Rishi Persad after beating Fucsovics, Shelton said: 'I've been playing well this week. It's not just me here, I have a great team. My parents are here, my girlfriend is here. Also, my sister is here – she's been here for every match I've played at this tournament so far, she's been a lucky charm. 'But she has work back in the US starting Monday. She works for Morgan Stanley…' The mention of the American investment bank sparked boos from the Wimbledon crowd, with the cameras catching Emma hiding her face and laughing.
