Amazon drops exclusive Oasis merch ahead of Oasis Live '25 Tour

Perth Now29-05-2025
Amazon has dropped an exclusive Oasis merchandise collection.
Ahead of the eagerly awaited 'Oasis Live '25 Tour' - which kicks off in Cardiff on July 4 - the major online retailer has announced a series of designs spanning the Britpop legends' 30-year history.
The first drop is 'Knebworth 1996' t-shirts, long sleeve t-shirts and jumpers; emblazoned with the Oasis logo on the crest sitting atop the bold Union Jack tricolor.
The design is a tribute to the band's era-defining shows at the Hertfordshire park in 1996, which saw the 'Supersonic' group play to 250,000 fans over two evenings.
Over the next six months Amazon will drop further designs, including odes to Oasis' 2006 North American Tour and the Wembley concerts from 1997's 'All Around The World' tour, plus classic album artwork merchandise for 'Be Here Now' and 'Heathen Chemistry'.
Laura Lukanz, Head of Music Industry, UK, Australia and New Zealand at Amazon Music, said: 'Ahead of the seismic return of Oasis this summer, we're excited to bring this exclusive range of merch to the fans. Throwing back to some of their most iconic gigs and albums, from Knebworth '96 to Heathen Chemistry, these designs capture moments in Oasis history and are an essential for those going to the shows this summer, or for fans looking to celebrate this monumental moment. And we're just getting started – stay tuned for more exclusive drops to follow!'
Oasis merchandise is available globally on Amazon now.

Sacked Oasis drummer wants reunion with Noel Gallagher

Sacked Oasis drummer Tony McCarroll wants to make amends with Noel Gallagher. Tony, 54 – who was a founding member of the band – was sacked by Noel, 58, after the release of the band's debut album Definitely Maybe because he annoyed the singer/songwriter by having a loud argument in the hotel room next door. According to The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column, Tony said at a fan event at Red Studios in North Shields: 'Would I sit down and have a cup of tea, a Rich Tea, with Noel, and go, 'What the f*** happened, mate?' I would. 'There was an incident in Paris. I was next door to Noel's hotel room, which I didn't know. 'I had an argument with some girl I was with and the next day we were doing the soundcheck. 'I just finished my bit, and he turned around and, in front of everybody, he went, 'You f****** keep me awake again, you're getting f****** sacked, mate'. 'Probably the most stupid thing I've ever done in my life, but I fronted him and said, 'You won't f****** speak to me like that again, no chance'. It was only a matter of weeks later I got the P45. 'What sort of man would it make me if I didn't [stand up to him]? Everybody was under threat every day, but it was just bravado. I never saw it being something serious like losing your position in the band.' Tony and Noel have not spoken since Noel kicked him out of the band but he has nothing but good things to say about the band's singer, and Noel's brother, Liam. He said: 'Everyone thinks Liam's a nutcase, but he's a shockingly nice guy. A lot of that stuff is bravado. It might be nervousness, something about him where he just can't deal with whatever it is, people in his face.'

From Gen Z to Millennials: Why audiences can't get enough of this summer romance streaming hit

At first glance, teen romance series The Summer I Turned Pretty is your fairly typical coming-of-age story. There's a gripping love triangle between its three photogenic leads. There's pining, heartbreak and many a first (kiss, boyfriend, love). Yet, the show has been nothing short of a global phenomenon. Now in its third and final season, it's Amazon Prime Video's most-watched TV show globally among women in the 18-to-35 age group. Its appeal is simple, says Jenny Han, who wrote the books on which the series is based and is creator of the TV series. 'It's aspirational,' she says. 'I think partly why people connect to it, too, is that many people have had a romance at the beach or felt strong feelings for somebody who maybe didn't return them and those things to me are across generations and time.' Han is in Sydney with two of the show's lead actors, Lola Tung (Isabel) and Rain Spencer (Taylor), as part of the streamer's Prime Book Club Live event, which is celebrating the success of several of the streamer's book-to-TV adaptations. The series follows Tung's Isabel (or 'Belly', as she is affectionately referred to), a young woman caught in a love triangle with brothers Conrad and Jeremiah. Largely set against the pastel-hued backdrop of the boys' family's beach house, and scored heavily by hits from Taylor Swift and Olivia Rodrigo, it's a different breed of teen media to the more explicit portrayals of sex in shows such as Euphoria and Sex Education, which are heavy with grit and teen angst. Loading While The Summer I Turned Pretty is hardly short on drama, its take on adolescence is decidedly more saccharine. 'Fantasy is such a big part of reality now,' says Tung. 'Thinking about having a crush is fantasy, you know?' Han, a former children's librarian, wrote The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy between 2009 and 2011. Over a decade later, it was picked up by Amazon and the series quickly became a hit, particularly among Gen Z and Millennial women.
