Jojo Siwa accused of 'disrespecting' Eminem with new single
JoJo, 22, released a clip from the upcoming song to her social media this weekend in response to 'haters' of her recent Bette Davis Eyes cover.
In a caption which accompanied the video on TikTok and Instagram, JoJo wrote: 'People had a lot to say about Bette Davis Eyes… so I started writing right away!
'New song coming soon, can you guess what it's gonna be called?🌪️💎💡'
In the lyrics, the Dance Moms star raps: 'Eyes like Bette Davis. Hear my voice and you know what my name is. Wise beyond my age. That's what happens when you're little and put on the stage.'
She then attracted the ire of music fans by rapping: 'Don't hate me, I'm just a lil baby,' before describing herself as 'Slim Shady.'
The Eminem mention hadn't gone unnoticed by fans, many of whom took to the comments to warn her against 'disrespecting' rap icon Slim.
'Gurl, Eminem's gonna haunt you for saying that now!!😭😭😭😭' wrote sanchitha.m2009.
'Please don't disrespect Mr. Slim like that,' said eva.saenzv.
'There is NO, WAY, you just called yourself Slim Shady,' a shell-shocked noah.a0 commented.
'She did not just say slim shady but a lady…. She DID NOT just compare herself to Eminem😭😭 💀💀💀,' said moonmoss8. https://www.instagram.com/p/DM0qmEyyjYe/?hl=en
JoJo was broadly mocked for her cover of Kim Carnes' song Bette Davis eyes, which was released on July 11 this year.
It soon became a source of comedy for the terminally online, with many describing her affected raspy vocals as something of an 'anti-smoking PSA.'
'Can we all take a moment to at least appreciate jojo's bravery for not disabling comments,' joked the user hughlingard below the video on YouTube.
Still, JoJo appeared to be at least partially in on the joke, engaging in a game of Two Truths & A Lie ahead of the single's release last week.
In a TikTok video, JoJo weighed in on pregnancy rumours by writing: 'Couple of things that need to be addressed, so might as well do it with 2 truths and a lie☺️ which is the lie?'
As JoJo swivelled around on a chair, the song played in the background.
An accompanying bit of text read: '1. I've never smoked a [cigarette] 2. I'm pregnant 3. This song comes out on Spotify Friday.'
As for the pregnancy rumours? These came after fans noticed Celebrity Big Brother co-star and boyfriend Chris Hughes, 32, stroking her belly in a TikTok video.
JoJo began dating the former Love Island contestant after they appeared in the CBB house together, to the dismay and confusion of fans and viewers. More Trending
The pair only added fuel to the fire when JoJo split with partner Kath Ebbs after leaving the house.
Since going public with their relationship, JoJo has opened up about her sexuality, telling MailOnline: 'When I came out at 17, I said: 'I'm pansexual, because I don't care [about gender].' But then I kind of boxed myself in and I said: 'I'm a lesbian.' And I think I did that because of pressure.
She continued: 'In a weird way, I think it came a little bit from inside the [LGBTQ] community at times. From people I know, from partners I've had.
'You just get put in this world where you feel like, because you now have said, 'Oh, I'm a lesbian', you have to be a lesbian. And the truth is, sexuality is fluid.'

Lions squad take over Sydney bar and break into song as stunned fans watch on Andy Farrell's men were in the mood for celebrating despite losing the final Test to the Wallabies The Lions squad celebrated their series win with a sing-song (Image: Joe Hare/ TikTok: @ The British & Irish Lions celebrated their series win over Australia in style by taking over a hotel bar in Sydney and breaking into song as stunned fans watched on. Andy Farrell's squad became the first Lions tourists since 2013 to win their Test series, with victories over the Wallabies in Brisbane and Melbourne seeing them secure the trophy after also winning all of their other games on Australian soil. However, that run ended as they were denied a historic 3-0 whitewash, with Australia deservedly winning an eventful final Test in Sydney. The disappointment of defeat in the third Test seemingly didn't last for long, however, as the following day saw Farrell's men celebrate as they popped in to the popular Coogee Bay Hotel for a spot of lunch. According to fans who were also in the hotel bar on Sunday, the team stayed there in the afternoon and provided some entertainment as they broke out into a sing-song. Wales and Lions fan Joe Hare was in the bar at the same time as the players, with his videos of their singing already shared on TikTok by the likes of England star Marcus Smith. Content cannot be displayed without consent "They came in for lunch and stayed in the afternoon," Joe, who is from Cardiff but lives in New Zealand, told WalesOnline. "They were really great to the fans and a real energy. It was a pretty awesome experience and it's been a great trip." After losing in the final Test, Farrell admitted that it "might take one or two beers" for his players to understand what they had achieved on tour, as he described the experience as "the time of our lives". Content cannot be displayed without consent 'There's frustration because we wanted to win every game, but the best team won here,' the head coach said. 'It might take one or two beers, but they should be unbelievably proud of what they've achieved on this tour. 'It's been the time of our lives. I know it sounds a bit dramatic, but it's the truth. We got to create a special memory together. I'm unbelievably proud to be associated with this group. Article continues below 'This has been a long time in the planning - the best eight weeks of our lives," he added. "Lions tours are tough, and to do what we did last week and put the series in the bag, upon reflection after tonight, I'm sure we'll be super proud of the achievement.'

Meghan Markle fans convinced she 'doesn't age' as they learn how old she is now
Meghan Markle is celebrating her birthday and fans can't get over how old she actually is. Many have taken to social media to say the former Suits star 'doesn't age' Meghan Markle marks her 44th birthday today (August 4). The past 12 months have marked many major changes for Meghan, especially since the dawn of 2025, with the launch of her new Instagram account, lifestyle brand, as well as her Netflix cookery show. But despite her busy year, and long-running rift with the Royal Family, she still looks incredibly fresh-faced despite turning another year older. People have flocked to social media to share their well-wishes and many also remarked on how youthful her appearance is. One fan said she just "couldn't believe" how old she was due to her "baby face" and natural beauty. One gushed: "Meghan looks younger than me, and I'm 25." A woman said that looking younger than you are is in "the genes". They added: "My daughter is almost 62, just gone through bowel cancer, never had Botox or anything in her life, doesn't wear heavy makeup, and people think she's around 35-40! I'm 87, and people think I'm around 76! It's in the genes". A third gushed: "It's official – Meghan Markle doesn't age." And a fourth asked: "How can Meghan be turning 44? She looks so young and fresh." Others urged her to make a "skincare line" because "that face card is lethal" – and thankfully, Meghan has done just that. In recent months, Meghan has opened up about her skincare routine. Netflix show – With Love, Meghan – shared a list of her must-have fashion and beauty favourites – and they include a 'glass skin' moisturiser available from Boots. While many of Meghan's favourite products are expensive or only available to buy in the US, one product she recommends is the reasonably priced Collagen Jelly Cream from viral brand Medicube. Previously quite tricky to find here in the UK, the Korean beauty brand has just launched into Boots with a 20% off introductory offer, taking this Collagen Jelly Cream down from £26 to £20.80 for a big 110ml tub (most moisturisers come in 50ml pots). She's also revealed her favourite lip balm to keep her pout looking lovely and juicy, as well as a highlighter that gives her that 'lit-from-within' glow. While products aren't guaranteed ways to turn back the clock, it's definitely interesting to see what's in her beauty bag.

Holidaymakers 'baffled' as they accidentally rent ENTIRE wedding venue in beautiful destination for JUST £300
A pair of Australian holidaymakers found themselves in an extraordinary situation after checking into a lavish wedding venue instead of a hotel during a trip to Italy. Matt Hey, a content creator from Sydney known on TikTok as @ shared the mishap with his followers in a viral video that has since amassed over 8 million views. He and his partner had just arrived in Sorrento after touring through London, Rome, and Pisa when they moved on to what they believed was a high-end hotel. The video, which follows the couple's surreal check-in experience at Villa Antiche Mura Relais, is accompanied by a caption that reads: 'We accidentally booked an entire wedding venue thinking it was a regular hotel.' In the clip, Matt narrates their arrival through a long stone path lined with manicured gardens, trees and colourful flowers. He noted the 'nice and peaceful' atmosphere of the grounds, though he admitted he'd thought: 'I'm baffled. This is a bit weird. I've not seen anyone yet.' Things got stranger when they reached what Matt initially thought was a reception building, only to find a villa resembling someone's private home. After walking around the property, they were met with a cliffside terrace featuring white lanterns, linen-draped tables, and what appeared to be a wedding setup. As they continued exploring, they discovered an outdoor dance floor complete with a bar, white tables and ivory drapes across the ceiling. Not completely convinced at the time, Matt recalled: 'I'm all spaced out. I'm like, maybe this is a common area and there must be little villas.' He explained that their only check-in interaction involved a staff member taking a photo of their passports and handing over a single key - no front desk and no other guests. Inside, the villa was decked out with more formal tables, and after the staff casually asked the couple which one they'd like to use, that's when it clicked that it was a wedding venue. Matt hilariously concluded: 'We could have done something with this - but darling, I could have done with the Mercure! I didn't need all this!' In a caption below the video, Matt admitted: 'Trust us to not read the description properly. we thought we were checking into a hotel or resort.. turns out it's a private wedding venue and there's no one else in sight!' The video drew some skepticism online, with some viewers accusing Matt of staging the clip to promote the venue, though he dismissed the claims in a follow-up clip, insisting the mistake was genuine. He reiterated that he and his partner spent AU$600 (around £290) per night through Expedia for a two-night stay in a Classic Balcony Room at the venue, treating themselves after travelling 'relatively frugally' earlier in their European adventure. Matt reiterated that he and his partner spent $600 AUD (around £260) per night through Expedia for a two-night stay in a Classic Balcony Room at the venue While the setting was evidently stunning, Matt noted there were no staff for the bar, no room service, and no easy access to restaurants or shops. He also mentioned that he and his partner may have been able to book the venue as he claimed it's 'bad luck' in Italy to wed on Tuesdays, which is the day the couple had checked in. On Villa Antiche Mura Relais' website, a description reads: 'The Villa offers different romantic settings for your Sorrento wedding reception and special event. 'Completely equipped for all the celebrations, we will personalize everything you desire with care and attention to details. Always at your disposal for all your requests. We are sure to make your special day memorable!' 4,000 viewers were left both amused and bewildered as they shared their thoughts in the comments The Daily Mail has reached out to Villa Antiche Mura Relais for further comment. Meanwhile, 4,000 viewers were left both amused and bewildered as they shared their thoughts in the comments, as one wrote: 'I'd be checking my email to make sure I booked it for $600 and not $6,000 or $60,000.' Another commented: 'Someone who wanted the venue for the same date is watching this like...'
