Filmmaker and screenwriter Anees Bazmee, on Wednesday, took to social media to celebrate 21 years of his hit comedy 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi."
Written by Bazmee, the romantic drama was directed by David Dhawan and starred Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, and Akshay Kumar. The filmmaker marked the milestone by reminiscing about the film's journey and its enduring popularity among fans. Taking to his Instagram handle, Anees Bazmee shared the post of the film featuring the lead actors and captioned it, '21 years of Mujhse Shaadi Karoge- a film that still brings smiles, laughter, and a little bit of madness. Grateful for the love. #mujhseshaadikaroge."
Reacting to the post, one netizen commented, 'One of my favorites." Another said, 'Most entertaining movie." In the comments section, one of the users even suggested that Anees Bazmee should consider making a sequel, this time with a new cast. The comment read, 'Sir plz sequel bnao is movie kaa . With new cast."
On a related note, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, was released 30 July. 2004. The film featured Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. Amrish Puri, Kader Khan, Satish Shah, and Rajpal Yadav appeared in supporting roles.
Set against the scenic backdrop of Goa, the story revolves around two men vying for the affection of the same woman. The film draws loose inspiration from the Hollywood movie 'Anger Management."
The film emerged as one of the biggest box office successes of the year, ranking as the fourth-highest-grossing Indian film of 2004. 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi" secured three Filmfare Award nominations. Bengaluru; A new nationwide study released by Indian electronics brand Kreo has revealed a major shift in the country's gaming landscape, with more than 35% of gamers now comprising working professionals, including engineers, entrepreneurs, creators, and marketers. Women above 35 are emerging as one of the fastest-growing gamer demographics, the study notes. Titled 'How India Games', the report draws on responses from over 5,900 gamers across the country, providing one of the most detailed portraits of the Indian gaming community to date. It comes amid rapid growth in the sector — a recent WinZO–IEIC report projected India's gaming market to more than double to $9.1 billion by 2029. Among the key insights: • India's gaming population is growing at an annual rate of 16%. • While 94% of gamers are still men, women above the age of 35 are entering the space in large numbers. • 73% of female gamers admitted to concealing their gender online, citing experiences of harassment — yet many are leading and building new communities. • Mobile phones remain the dominant gaming device for 88% of players, even among multi-platform users. • Over half of all gamers express an active interest in creating content or joining the esports industry, suggesting growing ambitions around gaming careers. Interestingly, while most Indian parents still consider gaming a 'waste of time,' around 10% have begun playing alongside their children, suggesting a generational softening of attitudes. 'Gaming was an escape for me growing up,' said Ishan Sukul, Co-founder and CEO of Kreo. 'Today, it's how millions of Indians connect and express themselves. Through this report, we wanted to understand gaming not just as a hobby, but as a response to deeper cultural shifts — including loneliness and mental health.'

64th National Exhibition of Art to be inaugurated today

Dhadak 2 box office collection Day 4: Janhvi Kapoor's debut made three times as much as Tripti Dimri-Siddhant Chaturvedi's sequel in the same time frame
Dhadak 2 box office collection Day 4: Despite receiving good reviews from critics, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's new film, Dhadak 2, is failing to maintain momentum at the box office. After an underwhelming opening on Friday, the film saw a minor increase in collections over the weekend. However, it failed to pass the Monday litmus test, dropping by over 66 percent. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film minted Rs 3.5 crore on Friday and witnessed a 7% and 10% increase on Saturday and Sunday, respectively — earning Rs 3.75 crore and Rs 4.15 crore. On Monday, the film saw a steep fall of 66%, earning only Rs 1.4 crore. This brings Dhadak 2's total domestic collection to Rs 12.8 crore. On Monday, the film registered a very low 14.26% Hindi occupancy. Major cities like Mumbai, Bengaluru, and the NCR — which also have the maximum number of screens — recorded low occupancy of around 15%. Dhadak 2 was released in theatres alongside Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur's Son of Sardaar 2. Despite receiving mixed reviews from critics, the film has managed to perform decently and has earned Rs 27.25 crore within four days of release — more than double the Rs 12.8 crore earned by Dhadak 2 in the same time frame. Co-produced by Karan Johar, Dhadak 2 is the spiritual sequel to the 2018 film Dhadak, which marked the Bollywood debut of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. The Siddhant and Triptii-starrer has lagged behind its predecessor. Within four days of its release, Dhadak had managed to mint Rs 39.19 crore — three times the amount Dhadak 2 has earned in the same duration. Mohit Suri's surprise blockbuster Saiyaara, now in its third weekend, is still managing to give stiff competition to new releases. On its third Monday, Saiyaara earned Rs 2.5 crore — higher than Dhadak 2's Monday figure of Rs 1.4 crore. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap recently took to Instagram to hail the film. He compared it to the cinema created by stalwarts like Raj Kapoor, Guru Dutt, Yash Chopra, and others, calling it 'a punch in the gut.' A part of his post read, 'The film captures the conversation that we avoid on a day to day basis. This is what mainstream cinema was meant to be, and this is what great filmmakers like Raj Kapoor, Bimal Roy, Guru Dutt, K A Abbas, B R Chopra, Yash Chopra and so many used to do. We forgot to make mainstream films of social relevance. They got relegated to independent art house cinema.'
