Axis Communications Reveals Four New AI Cameras
Axis Communications has announced four new AI-powered cameras. These models deliver high image quality and detailed forensic capabilities in up to 8 MP resolution. They are built to perform well, even in harsh weather and demanding environments.
The cameras are powered by the ARTPEC-9 system-on-chip. This enables accelerated performance and supports advanced analytics on the edge.
Two of the new models, AXIS Q3546-LVE and AXIS Q3556-LVE, offer 4 MP resolution. Both come with either a wide 10 mm lens or a 51 mm tele lens. Notably, the AXIS Q3556-LVE includes an acoustic sensor and comes with AXIS Audio Analytics preinstalled. This feature alerts users to relevant sounds, such as screams or changes in noise levels, even when there is no visual activity.
The other two models, AXIS Q3548-LVE and AXIS Q3558-LVE, offer 8 MP resolution. AXIS Q3558-LVE also features an acoustic sensor and AXIS Audio Analytics.
All four dome cameras include AXIS Object Analytics. This allows them to detect, classify, and track people and vehicles. They also include AXIS Image Health Analytics to notify users when images are blocked, degraded, under-exposed, or redirected.

The cameras are built from high-grade aluminium and are rated IK10, IP66, IP6K9K, and NEMA 4X. They are designed for outdoor use and are both vandal- and impact-resistant. The operating temperature ranges from -55°C to 55°C (-122°F to 131°F). They support both DC and PoE for power redundancy.
Axis Edge Vault, a hardware-based security platform, is also included. It offers FIPS 140-3 Level 3 certified secure key storage and protects the device from cyber threats.
Axis Communications continues to strengthen its position in the smart surveillance market with this latest launch.

AXIS Audio Manager Pro enables efficient remote management of up to 5,000 speakers across 100 zones. It allows users to manage zones, content, and permissions using a single, intuitive interface. The software supports both dedicated hardware and virtual machine installations and comes with unlimited licenses. Key enhancements include: A redesigned scheduler with flexible day templates Support for text and strobe alerts alongside audio Live paging from the web UI using a built-in microphone The improved scheduler simplifies content planning for environments with varying daily schedules. It helps administrators apply schedule templates for different day types, such as early release or testing days, commonly used in schools. The software now allows users to pair audio files with visual cues. These include flashing strobes and text announcements, which can be critical in noisy environments or emergency scenarios. The visual alert features support recent Axis hardware, such as the AXIS D4100-VE Mk II Strobe Siren, AXIS D4200-VE Network Strobe Speaker, and AXIS C17 Network Display Speaker Series. Live paging capabilities have also been upgraded. Users can now broadcast live messages or initiate two-way audio using their computer's microphone. They can also trigger pre-recorded messages from the same interface. Version 4.8 introduces several IT-focused features. These include an audit and event log for tracking user activity and a new API builder for easier IoT integration. Users can configure system actions to trigger audio clips from a video management system or hardware such as the AXIS C6110 Network Paging Console or AXIS C8310 Volume Controller. Axis Communications continues to enhance its AXIS Audio platform to meet evolving customer needs across large-scale and complex environments.

Plan-S expands global IoT coverage with four new satellites
The Connecta IoT-9, Connecta IoT-10, Connecta IoT-11, and Connecta IoT-12 satellites were developed using insights gained from earlier missions. Plan-S, a prominent player in satellite and space technologies, has launched four additional satellites aboard SpaceXs Falcon 9 rocket as part of the Transporter-14 mission.
