Small earthquake shakes part of Transylvania County
The magnitude 2.4 quake happened around 3:12 a.m. in an area located just northeast of Lake Toxaway, less than five miles west of Rosman.
The United States Geological Survey said the quake happened at a depth of around three miles.
Several residents in the Lake Toxaway area reported feeling light shaking, according to the USGS.
