Mohit Suri's Saiyaara smashed numerous records at the box office. The film starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda defied expectations, making them overnight sensations. The excellent performances and effortless chemistry propelled their stardom. Now, days after the release of the film, Ahaan and Aneet's social media following has risen to a whopping 2 million.
While Ahaan Panday's Instagram following stands at 2 million, Aneet Padda has reached the 2.2 million mark. According to Sacnilk's report, Mohit Suri's musical love story closed at Rs 278.5 crore net in India in its second week, including Rs 6.5 crore on Thursday. With such a spectacular theatrical run, Saiyaara has become the highest grossing Hindi film in the romance category to date.

Saiyaara is Aneet Padda's debut film on the big screen. She has previously acted in the OTT film Salaam Venky and the Prime Video series Big Girls Don't Cry. Ahaan has worked as an assistant director for Yash Raj Films' online series The Railway Men.
Mohit Suri's Saiyaara Breaks Records
Mohit Suri's film Saiyaara opened in theatres on July 18. The film follows Vaani Batra, an aspiring writer and Krish Kapoor, who aspires to be the next big singing phenomenon. Their worlds intersect and they fall madly in love with each other. However, their love story confronts numerous hurdles.
Speaking about the film before release, Mohit Suri said, 'I feel you can tell so many beautiful stories and take people along so many journeys and celebrate so many emotions but the romantic genre is always special. Saiyaara is my homage to the love stories I love and the sweeping romances that I have come across through my life. I have been fortunate to have met so many people who have been kind enough to share their incredible love stories with me."
The film has already surpassed numerous major releases this year, including Sky Force, Raid 2, Sitaare Zameen Par and Kesari: Chapter 2. It topped the lifetime revenues of Maalik, Deva, Maa, The Diplomat and Anurag Basu's ensemble film Metro…In Dino.

The first half has some entertaining moments; one of them being Raja, Tony, and Titu visiting the family to finalise the wedding, where Jassi recreates the scene from Border and plays all three parts originally portrayed by Sunny Deol, Suniel Shetty, and Jackie Shroff.' The review also points out that the second half becomes crowded with too many characters and comic tracks, 'However, as the story progresses, the plot becomes tangled and overstuffed with characters and comic tracks, though it does manages to deliver hilarity regularly.
