Fox News01-03-2025
Luke "The Dingo" Trembath, who gained notoriety from the TV show "The Adventures of Danny and The Dingo," has died at the age of 38.
Trembath became a professional snowboarder at the age of 17 after competing since he was just nine years old.
A cause of death has not been revealed.
The Australian native received numerous tributes upon the news, including one from the legendary skateboarder, Tony Hawk.
"Thank you for some of the best times, the best laughs and now the best memories. We love you for ever and ever. Words cannot describe the joy this guy brought to every gathering," Hawk wrote in a social media post. "His laughter was magically contagious, and he revered our culture because he was shaped by it. Thank you Dingo for being The Great Connector in our fragmented world. We were lucky to have you. The void you leave behind cannot be filled."
"The Dingo" hosted a podcast with his old TV mate, Danny Kass and former UFC ring girl Brittney Palmer; the gang's latest episode was released just this week.
"Some people come into your life and leave a mark that lasts forever. They're the ones who radiate happiness, positivity, adventure and truly making everyone feel special," Palmer wrote on Instagram. "Dingo was that incredible person. This loss hits differently. I'm so thankful for the time I got to work with him, share advice, travel, and just be in his amazing presence. It was truly an honor. Please, hug your loved ones tight. Dingo knew how much I loved him, and I felt his love in return. This is devastating, and it's a loss that's hard to comprehend. Rest in peace, my dear friend Dingo. I'll love you forever."
Monster Energy, who sponsored the snowboarder, issued a statement of their own.
"Our Monster family is heartbroken today, and we honor the legendary Luke 'The Dingo' Trembath. His unparalleled passion and energy were infectious, lighting up everything he touched. We'll forever remember his iconic laugh, his love for racing suits, and his genuine ability to connect with everyone he met. Here's to you Dingo, you'll be deeply missed and forever remembered."

Talks Reportedly ‘Failed' in Efforts to Bring ABBA Voyage to Australia

Plans to bring ABBA Voyage – the virtual concert experience from the eponymous Swedish pop group – to Australia have reportedly failed. First launched in May 2022, ABBA Voyage saw the quartet – which comprises Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Agnetha Fältskog – taking to the first stage for the first time in 40 years, albeit as digital avatars (or 'ABBA-tars'). More from Billboard Jeremy Zucker Announces 2025 Australian Tour Black Sabbath Members Pay Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne: 'Goodbye Dear Friend' The Damned Cancel North American Concert Dates Following 'Catastrophic Event' While the group themselves have resisted lucrative offers to re-form since their 1982 split, the virtual, live concert experience provided a way for fans to relive the band's live concerts in the modern age. First launched in London in 2022, the immersive spectacle features 1979 versions of the band playing their biggest hits, backed by a 10-piece live band and a lofty light show. Currently, the experience is scheduled through Feb. 1, 2026, with questions having been raised as to where it may be held next (or if it will be extended). While reports of a Las Vegas debut have surfaced recently, discussions in regard to an Australian edition of ABBA Voyage have been in the works since 2023. Initially, both the cities of Sydney and Melbourne were in competition to host the production, with the latter reportedly winning out as the Victorian state government entered into what were labelled 'advanced conversations.' However, reports in May 2024 of an imminent announcement of a production at Melbourne's Flemington Racecourse were later replaced by reports of stalled negotiations, with an unnamed government official claiming that ABBA Voyage organizers – which includes Melbourne's Craig Hartenstine as CEO – 'got greedy.' Now, a new report from the Herald Sun has stated the event is 'not going ahead' in Melbourne after talks had 'failed,' with money and value for taxpayers being the sticking point. Reportedly, the ABBA Voyage production would require a purpose-built 3,000 seat venue to host the event and would cost $100 million AUD to be staged. Paul Dainty – who serves as the president and chief executive of promoter TEG Dainty, and was responsible for bringing the group to Australia in 1977 – called the news 'disappointing.' 'It's been a long journey, but [ABBA Voyage] is a super expensive project,' he added. 'Maybe we can revisit it in the future.' Though it's unclear what sort of value ABBA Voyage had been predicted to generate for the Australian economy, a December 2024 economic and social impact report noted that in the two years since its opening in May 2022, ABBA Voyage had generated £1.40 billion for the U.K. economy. Metallica, Elton John & More Musicians Remember Ozzy Osbourne: ‘Greatest of All Time'

The music world has been left stunned with the announcement of Ozzy Osbourne's death, with the Black Sabbath frontman passing away at the age of 76 Tuesday (July 22), just weeks after playing his final concert. Without sharing his cause of death, Osbourne's family delivered the news in a statement, writing that 'our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning' and adding that the rock legend was 'with his family and surrounded by love' in his final moments. In response, artists of all generations and genres have been flooding social media with words of shock and grief, as well as messages of support for Osbourne's family, which includes his wife of more than 40 years, Sharon Osbourne, and his six children. More from Billboard Gone But Not Forgotten: Musicians We Lost in 2025 Jeremy Zucker Announces 2025 Australian Tour Black Sabbath Members Pay Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne: 'Goodbye Dear Friend' Black Sabbath's surviving members each shared personal tributes on social media reflecting on their time with Osbourne. Guitarist Tony Iommi wrote: 'I just can't believe it! My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park. It's such heartbreaking news that I can't really find the words. There won't ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother.' He added, 'Rest in peace Oz.' Bassist Terence 'Geezer' Butler said he was thankful they had one last chance to perform together during their July 5 reunion. 'Goodbye dear friend – thanks for all those years. We had some great fun. Four kids from Aston — who'd have thought, eh?' he wrote. 'So glad we got to do it one last time, back in Aston. Love you.' Drummer Bill Ward also shared an emotional tribute: 'Where will I find you now? In the memories, our unspoken embraces, our missed phone calls. No, you're forever in my heart. Deepest condolences to Sharon and all family members. RIP. Sincere regrets to all the fans. Never goodbye. Thank you forever.' The band's official social media accounts posted a striking image of Osbourne from their farewell show, captioned simply: 'Ozzy Forever.' Metallica shared a throwback photo with Osbourne and stamped it with a simple heartbroken emoji on Instagram, followed by a longer triubte. 'It's impossible to put into words what Ozzy Osbourne has meant to Metallica,' the band wrote. 'Hero, icon, pioneer, inspiration, mentor, and, most of all, friend are a few that come to mind. Ozzy and Sharon believed in us and transformed our lives and careers. He taught us how to play in the big leagues while at the same time being warm, welcoming, engaging, and all around brilliant. We are heartbroken and devastated by this loss and send our love and condolences to Sharon and their family, bandmates, and his very large circle of friends. He left an incredible legacy and will be sorely missed. While Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong wrote, 'No words. We love you Ozzy,' one of the rock icon's most unexpected pals, squeaky clean singer Donny Osmond, had high praise for Oz while posting a hilarious commercial they recorded together for Pepsi Twist in 2003. 'Remembering my brother in music, Ozzy Osbourne. I've always looked back at this commercial we shot in '03 so fondly,' he wrote. 'The last time we spoke was backstage of Dancing with The Stars season 9, when he told me how much he loved the Osmond song, 'Crazy Horses'… talk about crazy! Thank you for always bringing your authentic personality to everything you've touched. From Crazy Horses to Crazy Trains, Rest In Peace.' Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello shared a photo of himself and Osbourne and captioned it, 'Good bless you Ozzy.' Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood shared a photo of himself and Osbourne on X and wrote, 'I am so very sad to hear of the death of Ozzy Osbourne. What a lovely goodbye concert he had at Back To The Beginning in Birmingham.' Elton John posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram. 'So sad to hear the news of @ozzyosbourne passing away,' he wrote, posting a throwback photo of himself and Osbourne. 'He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods — a true legend. He was also one of the funniest people I've ever met. I will miss him dearly.' Pearl Jam shared a picture of Osbourne along with a personal note from Mike McCready. 'Sad to hear Ozzy died today,' he wrote. 'When I was in high school I discovered Sabbath. 'War Pigs' was terrifying and mesmerizing at the same time. It was Ozzy's voice that took me away to a dark universe. A great escape … Thanks for the music, Ozzy it makes our journey in life better.' Posting a photo of Osbourne when he was younger, Questlove simply wrote, 'Long Live The Oz … Rest In Melody.' Ozzy's longtime solo band guitarist Zakk Wylde shared throwback footage of himself ripping off a solo as Ozzy banged his head, writing, 'Thank you for blessing the world w/your kindness *& greatness Oz — you brought light into so many lives & made the world a better place — You lived w/the heart of a lion — I thank the good lord every day for blessing my life w/you in it. I love you Oz. Beyond forever.' Over on X, Gene Simmons of KISS wrote: 'Sad to report Ozzy has passed away. He was a giant. Admired and loved by millions of fans worldwide. Prayers and condolences go out to the Osborne family.' Posting photos of himself and Osbourne — including one featuring Jelly Roll — Flavor Flav also wrote on X, 'Man,,, real heart broken over the passing of OZZY OSBOURNE,,, we go way back … Sending my love and prayers to Sharon and his kids and whole family.' Ice T wrote on the platform, 'RIP Ozzy. Right after the recent huge Black Sabbath final concert. Sad.. In my opinion the Creators of Heavy Metal.' Korn remembered Ozzy's generosity, writing, 'Ozzy took us on our very first big arena tour. He and Sharon presented us with our first gold record. He taught us so much about the music industry, and we looked up to him. We love you forever, our Prince of Darkness. Thank you for all of the unforgettable memories and for paving the way.' 'I didn't think you would leave so soon the last time we met you were so full of life and your laugh filled up the room,' Yungblud wrote. 'But as it is written with legends, they seem to know the things that we don't … I am truly heartbroken.' Drummer Matt Cameron posted photos of Osbourne and penned, 'Rest in Power King Ozzy.' The Foo Fighters wrote, 'Rest in peace, Ozzy. And thank you for a lifetime of inspiration. Rock and Roll would not be as loud or as fun without you. You will be forever missed. Our deepest condolences to the entire Osbourne and Sabbath family.' Adam Sandler shared a tribute on Instagram, writing, 'Whether we were in our basements with our brothers, in the woods with our buddies, in the car, at a keg party, on a boat, at football practice, at a sleepover….Nobody was more badass to crank up on our speakers than the one and only prince of darkness – Ozzy Osborne! Loved him a lot like we all did! Sending love to the family and so happy to have spent time with the legend himself. RIP.' PETA also issued a statement mourning the Prince of Darkness — who had partnered with the animal rights organization in recent years — remembering him 'most fondly for the gentle side he showed to animals … Ozzy will be missed by animal advocates the world over.' Osbourne's death was certainly unexpected to fans, as the icon had performed just three weeks prior in Birmingham, England, at Black Sabbath's last-ever concert. He was joined on stage at Villa Park stadium by the rest of the band's classic lineup: Iommi, Butler and Ward. The late legend is survived by his first wife, Thelma Riley and their children, Jessica, Lewis and adopted son Eliot. With Sharon, he shares kids Aimee, Jack and Kelly — the latter of whom the heavy metal pioneer got to see get engaged to Slipknot's Sid Wilson at Black Sabbath's goodbye show.
