Sakamoto Days Chapter 215: Takamura Awakens As Shin Runs Away—Recap, Release Date, Where To Read And More

Pink Villa28-05-2025
The last Sakamoto Days chapter, titled 'Lost Child,' opened with civilians and media reacting to Japan's firearms suddenly becoming non-functional. X confronts Shin about the sabotage. Though Shin doesn't know Seba was responsible, he implies Sakamoto's group might be.
X then attacks using a sword that morphs into a scorpion-whip. Remembering Nagumo's advice, Shin avoids emitting bloodlust to prevent awakening Takamura. He ejects both of them from the building using a jet seat, landing in an aquarium. Realising where they are, X hallucinates Rion and hesitates. His Takamura personality then awakens when a shark attacks.
Expected plot in Sakamoto Days Chapter 215
Sakamoto Days Chapter 215 will likely continue with Shin facing the Takamura identity within X. Since Takamura hasn't attacked immediately, Shin may have a brief window to escape without provoking him. The chapter will likely depict Shin avoiding bloodlust while seeking safety.
Sakamoto may also reappear, attempting to extract Shin. The setting in the aquarium will likely become a factor during the encounter, either obstructing or aiding escape efforts depending on Takamura's reaction. Boiled, Heisuke, or Asakura may still make a miraculous return.
Sakamoto Days Chapter 215: Release date and where to stream
Sakamoto Days Chapter 215 will be released in Japan on Monday, June 2, 2025, at midnight JST. International readers can expect it on June 1, with release times around 3 pm GMT / 7 am PT / 10 am ET, though this may vary by location.
Sakamoto Days Chapter 215 can be read on Viz Media's website, MANGAPlus, and the Shonen Jump+ app. Free access is available on Viz Media and MANGAPlus, while a subscription is required for Shonen Jump+. It will also appear in Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 27.

Metro In Dino box office collection Day 1: Anurag Basu's musical earns only one-third of Jurassic World Rebirth in India, mints Rs 3.35 cr

Anurag Basu has returned to the big screen with Metro In Dino, a spiritual successor to his acclaimed 2007 film Life in aMetro. Revisiting familiar themes of urban love, heartbreak, and modern relationship struggles, the new ensemble drama brings together an impressive cast including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Sara Ali Khan. However, despite the list of impressive actors, the film had a subdued start at the box office. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Metro In Dino earned Rs 3.35 crore on its opening day. The overall occupancy on first day stood at 17.99%, with morning shows recording a modest 8.64%. Attendance steadily picked up during the day, with afternoon and evening shows hitting 14.24% and 17.99% respectively, and peaking at 31.09% during the night shows. Surprisingly, major markets like Delhi-NCR and Mumbai lagged, with occupancies at just 19.25% and 19.50%. While the opening day numbers are higher than Basu's earlier film Life in a Metro, which debuted with Rs 87 lakh in 2007 and eventually earned approximately Rs 24 crore globally, Metro In Dino falls well short when compared to some of his more recent work. His last theatrical release, Jagga Jasoos, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif, opened to Rs 8.57 crore, which at the time was itself considered a tepid start. The new film has also underperformed compared to Sara Ali Khan's last theatrical outing Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which opened at Rs 5.49 crore. Also Read | With Metro… In Dino, Anurag Basu defies box office logic as he makes yet another mad, messy musical Adding to its challenges, Metro… In Dino is facing stiff competition at the box office. Jurassic World Rebirth had a strong debut with Rs 9 crore on its opening day and is expected to maintain momentum. Meanwhile, films from the previous week continue to hold ground: Kajol's Maa earned Rs 1 crore on Day 8, while Brad Pitt's high-octane F1 collected Rs 3.50 crore on its eighth day and remains a popular choice among viewers. Aamir Khan's Sitaare Zameen Par, now in its third week, is also going well as it grossed a staggering Rs 137 crore in wop weeks. With 2025 entering its second half, Metro In Dino marks another lukewarm box office entry in what has been a mixed year for Bollywood. Only Vicky Kaushal's Chhaava has earned blockbuster status so far, grossing Rs 585 crore. Raid 2 trails far behind with Rs 173 crore, while Sitaare Zameen Par is poised to join the list of top performers if it sustains its current pace. Still, the year is shaping up to be another blend of fewer hits and more misses. Metro In Dino does have a few things working in its favour: an already popular soundtrack and relatively positive word-of-mouth. But its true test lies ahead. As per a report by Pinkvilla, the film was made on a budget of Rs 100 crore, Rs 85 crore for production and Rs 15 crore for advertising. Given its underwhelming start, Metro In Dino will need a strong weekend and sustained weekday momentum to recover its costs and make a meaningful impact at the box office.

Ramayana: Ranbir Kapoor, Yash starrer mega film's budget soars to Rs 1600 crore, becomes costliest Indian franchise

Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Yash, is among the most-awaited movies in Indian cinema. The makers recently dropped their official announcement video, including a few snippets from the movie. The first official glimpse took the internet by storm, and fans are stunned to see its magnificent scale. According to the reports of Bollywood Hungama, Ramayana 's total production cost is Rs 1600 crore, with Rs 900 crore invested only in the first part. The remaining Rs 700 crore is allotted for the second installment. This huge investment made Ramayana the costliest franchise in Indian cinema. A source close to the development revealed, 'The reason for the reduction in budget for part two is a result of a large investment in asset and world creation for part one, leaving just the action sequences for the second installment. The characters built and designed alongside the set pieces will continue to be a part of the second installment.' For the unversed, Ramayana is produced by Namit Malhotra of DNEG and Prime Focus Studios, in association with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. The makers are not splitting the cost between Part One and Part Two but are seeing it as an investment of Rs 1600 crore. The team is leaving no stone unturned to leave an impact on the global map with this two-part epic drama. Ramayana Full Cast and Crew and Release Date As Pinkvilla earlier reported, Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman have been onboarded to compose its background score and music. The makers are also in talks with a leading Hollywood studio to come on board for its distribution in the global key markets. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Mata Sita, Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Yash as Ravan, Kajal Aggarwal as Mandodari, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Adinath Kothare as Bharath, Arun Govil as King Dasharath, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, Sheeba Chaddha as Manthara, Rakul Preet as Shurpanakha, Vivek Oberoi as Vidyutjiva, Kunal Kapoor as Indra Dev and others. The first part of Ramayana is slated to release on Diwali 2026, while the second installment will hit the big screens on Diwali 2027. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more updates.
