Cool Off: Easy Egyptian Iced Drinks You Can Make at Home
Rana Atef It is August. One of the favorite months for the beach, summer, and the sea. Yesterday, thousands of fans around the world shared the opening lines for Taylor Swift's "August," especially "Salt Air." It is "Salt Air" month or "Cruel Summer." However, thousands may miss spending beach-quality time due to various commitments, so it is time to bring a "cool-off" or "salt air" mood to your house by making delicious and refreshing iced and cold drinks at home. Whether you're hosting friends, enjoying a quiet afternoon on the balcony, or winding down after work, these Egyptian-inspired iced drinks will cool you off and bring a splash of summer flavor to your day. 1. Iced Karkadeh (Hibiscus Tea) A national and affordable classic. This deep red drink, with its tart and sweet, is incredibly refreshing. In addition, it is a good source of antioxidants. To make it: Boil dried karkadeh petals. Let steep for 10–15 minutes. Add sugar or honey to taste. Chill in the fridge, then serve over ice with a slice of lemon or a few mint leaves. You can add a splash of orange juice for a fruitier twist. 2. Iced Mint Tea Mint tea is among the essential drinks in Egyptian homes. Moreover, mint is always planted in the majority of Egyptian houses and gardens due to its sweet smell and tasty flavor. Mint is not only an essential herb for cooking or cheese but also for tea. So, having a cold version of it would be lovely. To make it: Brew black or green tea with a handful of fresh mint. Let it cool, then sweeten with honey or sugar. Refrigerate, and serve over ice with extra mint and a wedge of lime. 3. Tamarind Iced Cooler (Tamer Hindi) Tamer Hindi is also perfect for hot days. To make it: Soak tamarind pulp in hot water for a few hours, then strain. Sweeten generously and chill. Serve over ice with lemon slices. To make it funnier, add sparkling water for a fizzy version. 4. Banana-Dates Iced Coffee by Blogger Cheznermine Banana-Date Iced Coffee is a refreshing, nutrient-packed. The blogger described on her website that the drink is inspired by the bold, sun-kissed flavors of Saudi Arabia. Using a blender or small food processor, mix equal parts of sugar, hot water, and instant coffee. Blend for 1–2 minutes until smooth and frothy. Add ice cubes and continue blending until the mixture becomes light and airy—about triple its original volume. Then, add the bananas, dates, and milk, and blend for another minute or two until everything is fully combined. Pour the whipped coffee mixture into tall glasses over fresh ice and enjoy immediately. 5. Traditional Lemon Juice Egyptian lemon juice is a landmark in Egyptian kitchens, and it is the easiest, most common, and favorite in our homes. To make a refreshing glass of traditional Egyptian lemon juice with ice, start by squeezing the juice of 3 to 4 fresh lemons. In a blender, combine the lemon juice with 3 tablespoons of sugar (you can adjust this to your taste) and 2 cups of cold water. You can also add sparkling water for a refreshing and fizzy taste or milk for a richer texture. Mix or blend the ingredients until the sugar is fully dissolved. For an extra cooling effect, add a handful of ice cubes and blend until the drink becomes slightly slushy, or simply pour the juice over ice in serving glasses. Garnish with a sprig of mint or a slice of lemon for a fresh, summery touch, and serve immediately while cold. read more 15 Ludicrous Cosplay Costumes That Will Blow You Away Watch... Apple Ships 3 Bln iPhones
Rana Atef Apple announced that it has shipped its three billionth iPhone. Tim Cook announced the news during a call for the company's third-quarter earnings. The company released the first iPhone in 2007 and sold its billionth iPhone in 2016. So, the audience can guess that the company has shipped its two billionth sometime in 2021, and now, only four years later, it has reached the new milestone. Apple's CEO said the iPhone enjoyed a double-digit growth in the third quarter and that the company earned $94 billion in revenue, up 10 percent year over year. Apple expert Mark Gurman suggested that iPhone sales over the past quarter were driven by people who bought one out of fear that the device would be out of their reach in the future due to Trump's tariffs. Apple is set to announce its next iPhone models in the coming weeks, probably in September. read more UAE's Lunar Mission Delayed to Tomorrow Twitter Lifts Trump's Account Ban Scientists Find Evidence Of 10،000 Black Holes Surrounding The Center Of The Milky Way Galaxy Greenhouse In Antarctica Able To Grow Vegetables Without Soil Or Sunlight Moving Over China: U.S. Is Again Home to World's Speediest Supercomputer Technology The 10 most expensive cars in the world Technology Top 10 fastest cars in the world Technology Lasers Could Make Computers 1 Million Times Faster Technology Smart technology taking control of our lives News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Arts & Culture Lebanese Media: Fayrouz Collapses after Death of Ziad Rahbani Sports Get to Know 2025 WWE Evolution Results
