Future Fuels Reports Results of Hyperspectral Survey at The Hornby Basin Uranium Project
The hyperspectral survey (the 'survey') successfully identified mineralogical, geochemical, and gas anomalies consistent with known uranium mineralization at the Project, generating over 100 anomaly clusters. The anomalous hyperspectral results will be integrated with the company's exploration model and will provide additional targets to ground truth in the upcoming exploration season.

Hyperspectral Survey Overview
The hyperspectral program consisted of evaluating satellite derived data across the entire property portfolio. The spectral signatures observed at the known mineralised area at Mountain Lake was used to assess and identify comparable targets across the broader Hornby Bay Basin (Figure 1). The survey analyzed 10-band Sentinel-2 data (VNIR and SWIR) and integrated it with PALSAR-2 SAR to detect mineralogical and geochemical signals from surface and near-surface environments.
Spectral unmixing techniques were applied to generate 16 mineral endmembers, compared to the USGS mineral library. High-confidence matches included:
These minerals are all common in or near uranium-bearing sandstones, particularly in redox-front systems where uranium precipitates from oxidized fluids.
A multivariate classifier trained on the spectral fingerprint of the Mountain Lake area identified 100 high-priority targets with similar spectral responses-excluding the known system itself-to guide future prospecting.
The gas component of the survey revealed elevated He, CH₄, and CO₂ concentrations that are potentially linked to:
These anomalies indicate active geochemical pathways from depth, potentially marking concealed mineralization. Additionally, SAR backscatter analysis provided dielectric constant estimates, with higher values over Mountain Lake associated with moisture-bearing alteration minerals. The dielectric signature supports the remote detection of alteration zones even under shallow cover.
The survey results strongly support the exploration model for a near-surface, sandstone-hosted uranium system with spectral and gas signatures consistent with known high-grade mineralization. These insights will be integrated into Phase 2 exploration planning.
What is a Hyperspectral Survey?
A hyperspectral survey is a remote sensing technique that analyzes light reflected from the Earth's surface across a wide range of wavelengths, well beyond what the human eye can see. Each mineral reflects light in a unique way, creating a 'spectral signature' that can be used to identify specific materials on the ground, such as clays, oxides, or sulfides commonly associated with mineral deposits. In this survey, satellite imagery from Sentinel-2 was used to capture visible and infrared light in 10 spectral bands. The data was then processed using a method called spectral unmixing, which separates the signal into pure mineral components (called endmembers). By comparing these signatures with known mineral libraries, geologists can detect subtle variations in surface mineralogy that may indicate buried mineralization. Additionally, the survey mapped natural gas emissions (e.g., helium, hydrogen, methane) that can escape from uranium-bearing deposits through cracks and fissures in the ground. These gas signatures-along with mineral indicators-help pinpoint potential new exploration targets, even when they're hidden beneath soil, vegetation, or glacial cover (After Pendock, 2025).

TSX futures rise on Fed rate cut bets
(Reuters) -Futures linked to Canada's main stock index rose on Tuesday, boosted by higher chance of the U.S. Federal Reserve cutting interest rates in September. Forsys Announces Commencement of Expansion Drill Program at Namibplaas
TORONTO, Aug. 05, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Forsys Metals Corp. (TSX: FSY) (FSE: F2T) (NSX: FSY) ('Forsys' or the 'Company') Forsys is pleased to announce the commencement of a drill program comprising 64 drill holes at its Namibplaas uranium property ('Namibplaas' or the 'Property'), for approximately 12,500 metres ('m'), having now satisfied all regulatory and statutory requirements to access Portion-1 of farm Namibplaas No. 93, which was acquired by the Company's fully owned subsidiary Valencia Uranium (Pty) Ltd. in December 2024 (please refer to news release dated January 6, 2025). The Property hosts the Namibplaas uranium deposit under Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL-3638), which together with the Valencia uranium deposit under Mining Licence (ML-149) ("Valencia') comprise the Norasa Uranium Project ('Norasa')1 (see figure 1 below). The principal objectives of this program are to infill and upgrade the existing Namibplaas mineral resource to the Measured and Indicated category and test down dip mineralization potential (drill target 1: Area B (figure 2)); and to conduct reconnaissance drilling on new sites on EPL-3638 in Area A to evaluate the potential to expand Norasa's mineral resource base (drill target 2: Area A (figure 3)).Figure-1 Farm Namibplaas (EPL-3638), 3km northeast of Valencia deposit (ML-149) ______________________________________________________ The Norasa Uranium Project ('Norasa') is wholly owned by the Company's 100% subsidiary Valencia Uranium (Pty) Ltd. ('Valencia Uranium') and comprises Valencia uranium deposits ("Valencia') under a 25-year Mining Licence (ML-149) valid until 2033 and renewable and Namibplaas uranium deposit ('Namibplaas') (under EPL-3638), both located in the Erongo region of Namibia, Africa. Drill Target 1; Area-B The Company has planned a 44-drillhole ~9,350 m drill program (see figure 2 below) designed to identify and support a potential upgrade of the currently classified Inferred resource to Measured and Indicated by reducing the drill spacing and increasing the proportion of resource drill holes that have both downhole gamma and laboratory assay results. Currently, the overall Namibplaas resource is classified as Inferred due to a low ratio of XRF-assayed samples within an historic population of predominantly downhole gamma equivalent data. The majority of the 44 drillholes are planned along the eastern margin of the deposit. A further 12 drillholes (circa 1,915m) are planned for geotechnical drilling and geometallurgical sampling at Additional drillholes at Namibplaas Area B planned by MSA. (ground scintillometer overlay) Drill Target 2: Area-A The Namibplaas resource has been defined on the historic radiometric Anomaly-B (figure-2 above) whereas higher radiometric signatures occur approximately 2 km to the west at Anomaly-A (see figure 3 below). The strength of the Anomaly-A radiometric signature is attributed to prominent thorium concentration on surface, which was established from surface sampling. This target has potential to significantly augment the Norasa resource base in tonnage and grade. A further 1,000m in eight drillholes have been laid out to test drill Target 2 situated at Anomaly-A. There is a high total count of scintillometer signatures in parts of this area which bears significant potential for mineralization as the uranium is regularly leached out on surface, leaving mainly thorium in the outcrop. Anomaly-A lithologies are granitic, similar to the uranium deposits on the neighbouring farm Valencia and the rocks constituting Anomaly-B and the Namibplaas uranium resource. To date sampling has been limited to the surface and no drilling has taken place in the anomalous area. An initial reconnaissance drill program will test for uranium mineralization in fresh rock, below 50m depth. The target area has rugged terrain which necessitates some earthmoving and road building prior to mobilising drilling Namibplaas ground scintillometer survey superimposed onto aerial radiometric imagery. Pet Valu Holdings announces Greg Ramier as new CEO, reports Q2 profit of $21.8M
MARKHAM — Pet Valu Holdings Ltd. says president Greg Ramier will become its CEO later this year. The Markham, Ont.-based retailer says Ramier will replace Richard Maltsbarger in the top job and be appointed to the company's board effective Sept. 21. After that date, Maltsbarger will become a senior advisor tasked with aiding with the leadership transition until he retires on April 4, 2026. The succession plan announcement comes as Pet Valu recorded a second-quarter profit of $21.8 million. That compared with $17.8 million a year earlier. On an adjusted basis, Pet Valu says it earned 38 cents per diluted share in the quarter ended June 28, up from an adjusted profit of 36 cents per diluted share a year ago.
