Uorfi Javed says she is receiving death and rape threats after winning The Traitors: ‘People have always doubted me'

Uorfi Javed is back in the spotlight after winning Karan Johar's reality show The Traitors. On Friday, Uorfi shared her first Instagram post since the win. In a follow-up post, the social media influencer revealed that she is once again receiving threats and abuse, not for her clothing choices, but for winning the show.
Uorfi shared a video that opened with Karan Johar announcing her eviction from Bigg Boss OTT, then cut to her screaming that she won The Traitors. Sharing the clip, Uorfi wrote, 'From losing big boss (being the first one to be eliminated) to winning the traitors. The journey wasn't easy , how many times I've cried , I've had so many breakdowns , wanted to give up , wanted to leave everything and run away . Being called names, getting death, rape threats, the online hate, the offline hate but I never stopped . May be the universe knew I needed this.'
She added, 'When I lost Big boss I thought he lost my last chance at success or at having a good life, had taken udhaar from friends to get clothes to wear on big boss. At that time I didn't even know if I would be ever be able to repay that udhaar. People have always doubted me, even right now but this still won't stop me . The hate never has, never will stop me. I took out 3 traitors, that can't be luck. Till the last moment I didn't give up. Strategised.'

Although Uorfi's first post was met with many congratulatory messages, she continues to face online hate.
In another post, Uorfi Javed shared a series of screenshots filled with abuse and hate, and wrote, 'When we you don't like something a girl does, just drop the 'R' word. Not the first time I've been threatened or abused like this but this time it's not because of my clothes but because I won a show . Imagine being so petty that when your favourite player doesn't win you resort to abusing and threatening.'
'These are the most decent ones I uploaded . No matter what I do , people just love hating and abusing . Harsh ko na Nikalti toh Pyar me andhi, harsh ko nikal Diya toh dhokhebaaz. Purav ko Jeetne deti toh bewakoof, nahi jeetne diya toh cheater . Hate has never stopped me before , it never will now,' she added.

The finale of The Traitors Season 1 streamed on Thursday, and Uorfi Javed, along with Nikita Luther, emerged as winners. In a surprising act of generosity, Uorfi decided to give her share of the prize money to Nikita, stating that if she wanted the money, she could have taken the entire amount. This gesture was applauded by viewers and added a heartwarming touch to the finale of The Traitors.
The Traitors began with 20 celebrities from across Bollywood, television, and social media. Maheep Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor, Raj Kundra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Karan Kundrra, Lakshmi Manchu, Apoorva Makhija, Raftaar, Mukesh Chhabra, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, Sahil Salathia, Jannat Zubair, Elnaaz Nourozi, Harsh Gujral, Janvi Gaur, Uorfi Javed, Nikita, Luther and Purav Jhan were among the contestants.
