Ozzy Osbourne remembered by stars from Elton John to Jason Momoa in touching posts
'He was a dear friend and a huge trailblazer who secured his place in the pantheon of rock gods — a true legend,' Elton John posted on Instagram. 'He was also one of the funniest people I've ever met.'
Another British singer with a distinctive voice and offbeat sense of humor, Rod Stewart, also weighed in with condolences.
'Bye, bye Ozzy,' Stewart posted on Instagram. 'I'll see you up there — later rather than sooner.'
Osbourne was an avid Beatles fan and credited the Fab Four with inspiring his musical career. The official X page of the late Beatles great John Lennon sent a bit of love Osbourne's way by simply posting 'OZZY,' accompanied by a black heart.

Actor Danny Trejo described Osbourne as a man of 'pure light' despite his trademark reputation for darkness. He said the icon had a heart bigger than any stage he graced.

Actor Jason Momoa, who emceed Osbourne's last performance earlier this month, posted expressions of 'aloha' and 'ohana,' Hawaiian for 'family,' for Sharon Osbourne.

Rep. Victoria Spartz, R-Ind., posted photos of herself and her family on X with Osbourne.
'Ozzy was a true pioneer of heavy metal and an enduring symbol of the rebellious, freedom-loving spirit that resonates across our nation and throughout the world,' Spartz wrote. 'He will be missed.'
Osbourne gained a whole new generation of fans when he and his madcap family became the subject of a reality TV show called, appropriately enough, 'The Osbournes.'
It ran on MTV from 2002 through 2005, and that, coupled with his heavy metal showmanship, earned him a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Fittingly for a rock icon who came from the bleakest corner of Birmingham, England, it was placed on Hollywood Boulevard in front of the Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. And as word of Osbourne's death spread, flowers were placed on the star and fans stopped to express their condolences.
'Ozzy Osbourne was more than a rock legend—he was a cultural icon who reshaped music and defied expectations,' Ana Martinez, who is the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said in a statement. 'His star on the Walk of Fame will now shine even brighter as fans from around the world come to honor his incredible legacy. He will be deeply missed.'

'Speaking for myself, I wasn't a huge podcast guy, so I guess I was always astounded by the amount of podcasts out there that have strong listenership,' Gibbons said. 'Obviously, it's a growing platform and there's people that listen to all kinds of content. And I think rather than talking other people down or focusing on how types of podcasts that don't deserve listeners, get listeners, maybe it's worth acknowledging that there's all kinds of listeners for different types of content and trying to tap into that, appreciate that everyone listens to different stuff and try to make something that can appeal to a lot of people.' Making content that is appealing to a wide spate of people is no easy task in the modern world and it's something that Say and Gibbons have made pains to improve on in recent years. 'We were talking about this earlier today actually. Something we've crystallised since the start of Swag and we're getting closer and closer to is being able to provide content that anyone can listen to,' Say said. Gwyneth Paltrow has appeared in a hilarious cameo speaking on behalf of Astronomer, with the company caught in a PR disaster after its CEO and his alleged mistress was busted cosying up at a Coldplay concert. Astronomer chief Andy Byron had his arms wrapped around the chest of fellow colleague Kristin Cabot at the British band's tour in Boston, Massachusetts on July 16. The alleged tryst was filmed by Coldplay fan Grace Springer and shared to TikTok where it has been seen close to 70 million times, with many news stories already written. Chris Martin, who is Paltrow's ex-husband and father to her two children, joked to the crowd that the couple were "either having an affair or just very shy" as thousands of other concert-goers laughed and cheered. On Saturday, Astronomer published a video to their LinkedIn page in which Paltrow appeared as a ''temporary spokesperson'' to answer some questions, marking a surprise PR move by the company as it continues to become entangled in a media storm. The actress, wearing a blue shirt, started her cameo by saying: ''Thank you for your interest in Astronomer. Hi, I'm Gwyneth Paltrow," as corporate music blissfully played in the background. ''I've been hired on a very temporary basis to speak on behalf of the 300 plus employees at Astronomer. The post has garnered the attention of hundreds of LinkedIn users who headed to the comments to share their support and applaud the ''boss move'' by Astronomer's media team. ''Absolutely brilliant, Leo Zheng and team - just brilliant,'' one LinkedIn user commented. ''Phenomenal work, Leo Zheng,'' wrote another. ''Leo Zheng: mic drop,'' a third wrote. ''A clever way to reach your audience - unexpected, but memorable,'' a user critiqued the video. ''Though, to be honest, the question and answer felt like they were on entirely different airflows.'' The company previously said on LinkedIn that Mr Byron is under formal investigation over his alleged cheating scandal involving Astronomer's chief human resources officer. "Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability," it said. "The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly." Soundside Music Festival cancelled
Soundside Music Festival has been cancelled. The two-day event – which was set to take place at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut on September 27 and 28 with headliners The Killers, Weezer, Hozier and Vampire Weekend – has been axed, according to a brief message on its website. The message states: 'Due to circumstances beyond our control, Soundside Music Festival has been cancelled. Tickets will be refunded to the original method of payment in as little as 30 days depending on your bank's processing time.' No other information was given and there were no details on the reason for cancellation. Djo, Japanese Breakfast, the Backseat Lovers, Remi Wolf, Alex Warren and the Last Dinner Party were also on the line-up. This comes one year after Foo Fighters cancelled their planned performance at the festival in 2024 with only a few days notice, after Dave Grohl revealed he had welcomed a baby outside of his marriage. In a statement posted on Instagram, the band said: "FOO FIGHTERS WILL NO LONGER BE APPEARING AT THIS WEEKEND'S SOUNDSIDE MUSIC FESTIVAL. PLEASE CHECK THE FESTIVAL WEBSITE FOR MORE INFORMATION (sic)" The Foo Fighters didn't cite a specific reason for cancelling their planned appearance at the festival. However, it came just weeks after Dave confirmed that he had fathered a child outside of his marriage. The 56-year-old musician vowed to "regain" the trust of his family after sharing the news via social media. Dave - who has been married to Jordyn Blum since 2003 - wrote on Instagram at the time: "I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage.
