Lisa's ‘Dream' Lyrics Detail a Haunting 2019 Breakup

Yahoo01-03-2025
The final track of Lisa's Alter Ego, 'Dream,' offers a very rare glimpse into the K-pop singer's past heartbreak. The song is among the most vulnerable of the album, where Lisa sings about missing someone very special to her and hoping for a future where they can reconnect, even just as friends.
'I've been thinking / That I got no idea what you're thinking / Are you happy? Are you sad? / Are you always gonna hate me for that night in Tokyo? / When it ended, I kinda hoped that it'd be open-ended / But you never looked back / Well, I guess you can't hold on to something once you let it go,' she sings in the first verse. In the chorus, she adds a bit of a timestamp to the relationship, singing, 'Whenever I close my eyes / It's taking me back in time / Been drowning in dreams lately / Like it's 2019, baby.'
The Blackpink singer has kept her personal life pretty private, especially back in 2019. While there were dating rumors about her at the time, Lisa never confirmed she had a partner.
In the hours following the release of 'Dream,' some fans brought up that during that period, Lisa had been linked to fellow YG Entertainment artist, Jung Jaewon, known by his stage name, One. He left YG Entertainment in July 2019.
But fan theories are fan theories. Only Lisa and her co-writers on the song, Ali Tamposi, Feli Ferraro, Shintaro Yasuda, and Her0ism, know who inspired the track.
One person the song is definitely not about? Lisa's current rumored boyfriend, LVMH Watches CEO Frédéric Arnault. They first sparked dating rumors years later, in 2022. Fans believe her Alter Ego track 'Moonlit Floor (Kiss Me)' is about him. Billboard asked who the muse was for the song, and Lisa played coy, saying, 'I didn't write that.'
Still, both tracks lift the veil a bit on Lisa's inner world, with 'Dream' giving a particularly poignant look at how much Lisa cherished a lost relationship. Read the lyrics and listen to the song below.

Eileen Fulton, ‘As the World Turns' soap star, dies at 91

Actor Eileen Fulton, known for her long-running role as Lisa Grimaldi on the CBS soap opera 'As the World Turns,' has died at 91. Fulton died July 14 in Asheville, N.C., after a period of declining health, according to an obituary posted by Groce Funeral Home in North Carolina. She would become one of the longest-serving soap opera actors, playing Lisa with only a few interruptions from 1960 until the show's end in 2010. Fulton played the character as a villain, telling The Times in 1990 that Lisa was initially 'a conniving, screaming witch' who 'lied and wanted everything her way,' a characterization that led fans to scorn her. Throughout the course of the show, Lisa was married eight times. But over time, Lisa evolved and 'matured and learned from her mistakes.' Fulton said she began to receive 'love letters' from fans who admired the character's spunk. Fulton was inducted into the Soap Opera Hall of Fame in 1998 and received a Daytime Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. Fulton was born Margaret Elizabeth McLarty on Sept. 13, 1933 in Asheville. The daughter of a Methodist minister and a public school teacher, she graduated from Greensboro College in 1956 with a bachelor's degree in music and performed in an outdoor drama in North Carolina before moving to New York to pursue a career in acting, according to her obituary. She later adopted the stage name Eileen Fulton, and in 1960, she was cast in the drama 'Girl of the Night.' In addition to her soap opera career, Fulton had a cabaret act for years in New York and Los Angeles. She retired in 2019 and moved to Black Mountain, N.C. She is survived by her brother, Charles Furman McLarty, a niece and other family members.

Final 'V.C. Andrews' book set for publication in October

July 20 (UPI) -- Birdlane Island, the final book in the decades-long "V.C. Andrews" gothic novel franchise, is set for publication in October. "The SECRET is out: Birdlane Island is the last new novel in the V.C. Andrews book franchise to be published," the official V.C. Andrews X feed said Saturday. "If you have a copy of Flowers in the Attic and you get a copy of this, you will have the first and last novel published in the V.C. Andrews franchise. Preorder." Andrew Neiderman, 85, took over the franchise and assumed the pen name when the real Andrews died of cancer in 1986 at age 63. Many of the books in the Flowers in the Attic, Heaven and Dawn series -- have been adapted as Lifetime movies. "Off the coast of Maine, on an island off the bay, lives a novelist Jason Lorraine and his teenage daughter Lisa. They live a simple life, largely cut off from the mainland, and Lisa's weak health poses a frequent concern," a synopsis of the final Andrews book said. "After the sudden and untimely death of Lisa's mother, Jason becomes even more reclusive and protective. Lisa is forbidden to see Jamie, the charming fisherman's son who has quickly become her closest confidante in her grief. The star-crossed lovers steal time with one another, but fate intervenes, and they may never find a happy ending."

Weak Hero Class Season 3: Release date speculation, cast and plot details – Everything we know so far

By Aman Shukla Published on July 20, 2025, 18:00 IST Last updated July 20, 2025, 12:26 IST Alright, Weak Hero Class fans, let's talk about the one thing keeping us all up at night: Weak Hero Class Season 3. After that gut-punch of a second season hit Netflix on April 25, 2025, we're not the only ones refreshing X for updates. The cliffhanger, the feels, those insane fight scenes—Season 2 left us desperate for more of Yeon Si-eun and his Eunjang High crew. So, what do we know about Season 3? From release date guesses to cast rumors and plot theories, here's the scoop on everything buzzing around this K-drama gem. Release Date Speculation for Weak Hero Class Season 3 Trying to pin down a release date without an official announcement is like guessing the weather a year out, but let's give it a shot. Weak Hero Class 2 got announced in December 2023, filmed through mid-2024, and landed in April 2025. That's roughly a 16-month turnaround. If Netflix gives the go-ahead by, say, December 2025, we could be looking at a late 2026 release if they hustle. But, real talk, the three-year gap between Seasons 1 and 2 makes me think 2027 is more likely. Expected Cast for Weak Hero Class Season 3 If Season 3 happens (and it better), the core gang should be back, judging by how Season 2 wrapped. Here's our take on who we'll see: Park Ji-hoon as Yeon Si-eun Choi Hyun-wook as Ahn Su-ho Ryeo Un as Park Hu-min (Baku) Choi Min-yeong as Seo Jun-tae Lee Min-jae as Go Hyun-tak Lee Jun-young as Geum Seong-je We might also see Jo Jung-seok as Choi Chang-hee, the shady Cheongang gang boss who showed up at the end. He's got 'trouble' written all over him. RIP Na Baek-jin (Bae Na-ra), but I wouldn't be shocked if he pops up in flashbacks—his death was too murky to leave alone. Potential Plot for Weak Hero Class Season 3 Season 2 ended with a bang: Eunjang took down the Union, but at a cost. That mid-credits scene with Choi Chang-hee offering Seong-je control of the Union (and Seong-je saying 'nah') left our jaw on the floor. Season 3 could go so many ways. Here's what we are expecting: Si-eun's Dark Side : Park Ji-hoon pitched Si-eun going rogue after losing friends, and I'm obsessed with the idea. Imagine our quiet strategist snapping and taking on everyone—Union, Cheongang, you name it. : Park Ji-hoon pitched Si-eun going rogue after losing friends, and I'm obsessed with the idea. Imagine our quiet strategist snapping and taking on everyone—Union, Cheongang, you name it. Su-ho and Baku Team-Up : Su-ho's back, but he's got new friends to vibe with (or clash with). Fans on X are hyping a Su-ho-Baku alliance, and we are expecting them to throw punches together in some epic fight. : Su-ho's back, but he's got new friends to vibe with (or clash with). New Threats : The webtoon's mostly wrapped in the show, so Season 3 might go off-book, like Kingdom did. Choi Chang-hee's gang could pull Si-eun into a bigger, scarier world of crime, way beyond high school bullies. : The webtoon's mostly wrapped in the show, so Season 3 might go off-book, like did. Baek-jin's Mystery: The show didn't explain Baek-jin's death, just hinted it was sketchy. The webtoon says car accident, but I'm betting Season 3 digs deeper. Reddit's blowing up with theories—one fan thinks Si-eun might use his chess-master brain to outsmart a gangster like Chang-hee. Another post suggested a time jump to graduation, which could shake things up. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
