Miley Cyrus' ‘Something Beautiful' To Screen In Australian Cinemas Next Week
Australian fans of Miley Cyrus will get a chance to see the mutli-platinum pop star return to the big screen next week (June 27th), with nationwide screenings of her new film Something Beautiful having been announced by Event, Hoyts and Village Cinemas for at least one cinema in every state and territory. The film serves as the accompanying visuals to Cyrus' ninth studio album of the same name, which was released late last month. The full list of screenings can be found below.
Something Beautiful was both co-directed and co-produced by Cyrus herself. She wrote the film with her team of co-directors, Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter. The former has been working with Cyrus since her previous studio album, 2023's Endless Summer Vacation, which included directing the music video for the chart-topping 'Flowers' – which has over one billion views on YouTube. The latter, meanwhile, is a former guitarist for the American pop-punk band Valencia, whose work as a videographer includes credits with Fall Out Boy, Lorde, Weezer, Sia, Green Day and Shawn Mendes.
In promotional materials for the film, Something Beautiful is described as 'a one-of-a-kind pop opera'. '[This] is my dream project come true — fashion, film, and original music coexisting in harmony,' said Cyrus. 'My co-creators are all geniuses in their own right: From the masters of sound, Shawn Everett and Alan Meyerson, to one of cinema's most unique directors, Panos Cosmatos, serving as a producer. Each collaborator has used their expertise to make this fantasy a reality.'
Prior to Something Beautiful, Cyrus' only other recent film appearance was an uncredited cameo in Ethan Coen's 2024 film Drive-Away Dolls, which starred Pedro Pascal and Beanie Feldstein. She was last seen before that in 2017's Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, where she cameoed as Mainframe. Her last lead acting role was in 2012's So Undercover, alongside Jeremy Piven and her mother Tish.

Jake Paul drops $39 million on Georgia's iconic Southlands ranch
Professional boxer, social media influencer and content creator Jake Paul has bought the sprawling Southlands property just south of Bainbridge, Georgia, for $39 million. Paul, during an interview on the "The Iced Coffee Hour" podcast in mid-June, said he's been wanting to purchase a ranch for the last 15 years, according to 'It's kind of been my dream and why I work so hard," said Paul. He added the 5,746-acre estate was '… a little bit bigger than what I wanted, but when I got there, I was like, 'I have to buy this.' ' Paul, 28, is known for his brash commentary on YouTube and other social media platforms and co-stars alongside his brother, Logan Paul, in "Paul American," a reality show that premiered in March 2025 and offers a peek into their family life outside of the boxing and wrestling ring. Logan Paul is a pro wrestler and social media maven. More celebrity real estate: NBA star Kevin Durant's custom Oklahoma City townhome hits the market at $35 In November 2024, Paul went head-to-head against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, 58, and defeated the veteran fighter in a unanimous decision. He was initially slated to receive $40 million for beating the retired boxer. The 5,653-acre property surrounds the eastern shore of Lake Seminole, just above the Florida panhandle, and was listed in October 2024 for $42.5 million. It features a "sport huntsman's paradise with an abundance of bobwhite wild quail, turkey and whitetail deer. It also includes a 20-acre fishing pond and a 30-acre duck pond," as previously reported in the Tallahassee Democrat, part of the USA TODAY Network. Jon Kohler, an expert in large plantation properties in the southeast, said there are few investments that can build "long-term wealth like owning a property such as Southlands." "While we can see the financial appreciation, what only the seller can measure is the immense intrinsic value – the lifestyle, the experiences, the memories. That's the most important kind of wealth. And that's what Southlands will create for Jake, his family, and his friends," said Kohler, in a statement. In a Facebook post announcing the purchase, Kohler described the property as "one of America's most iconic sporting properties." "From its roots with Herbert Stoddard, a legacy dating back to 1937, to its years as International Paper's flagship property, Southlands has long been a crown jewel of American land stewardship – and with Jake Paul's passion and commitment to conservation, its future has never been brighter," the post said. Saquon Barkley reveals the sources motivating his drive to succeed
Eagles' All-Pro RB and reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year shares some of his primary motivations. It's pretty impressive to walk into an NFL game, take in the atmosphere, and see the high-profile individuals who are there. Who knew? Many of the athletes, actors, and politicians we admire often find their way to a Philadelphia Eagles game to unwind and have some fun. Maybe competition entertains competitive people. Perhaps people we admire are sometimes fans themselves, but that makes sense. Somewhere, there's an actor who wishes he could perform a reverse hurdle. Somewhere, there's a kid in the backyard, football in hand, and he or she wants to rush for 2,000 yards like Saquon Barkley. Eagles star Saquon Barkley shares his inspiration If Saquon Barkley never played another down for the Philadelphia Eagles, his place in this great organization's history and framework is secure. His first season with the Birds doubles as one of the most riveting in franchise history. Saquon is a Super Bowl champion now. That can never be taken away from him. He's the reigning NFL Offensive Player of the Year. He should have been given the MVP trophy. No disrespect is intended to Josh Allen, but somewhere deep down, he has to know that. Nothing we saw during the most recent pro football season compares to what we saw from Saquon. How did he do it? Where does one of the greats draw his inspiration from? Recently, he provided some behind-the-scenes access while hanging out with one of the most popular people in the YouTube golf space, Grant Horvat. He credits his Christian faith, a relationship strengthened by new surroundings. During their chat, Saquon also shared that he, too, is a fan. He revealed that he is a fan of golfing legend and 11-time PGA Tour Player of the Year, Tiger Woods. Studying one of the great athletes of an era has added to his fuel to be the best on the NFL gridiron. "I've been trying to learn so much more about Tiger," Barkley told Grant Horvat via CBS Sports. "I had a really good season last year. But just like how dominant he was, his mentality. So in 2000, [he had an] amazing year. But 1999, he had an amazing year too, right? To be able to stack years like that. There's never been a back that's rushed for 2,000 yards twice, and definitely not back-to-back. Tiger was the man. There's no doubt about it. If one is looking to reach the pinnacle of excellence in their field, he's a great person to look to and study. Perhaps Barkley says it best. I think it's just the confidence. I think when you have the year like I had last year, I'm coming into this season, and to my training,it's not a fluke. I watch film. And, people talk about what I did and what I accomplished, but in my mindset, it should have been even more. When you have that confidence and you play with that swagger." Well said Saquon. Here's to another dominant season in 2025.
