A second said: "Those glasses make you look beyond wonderful."

But Lehmann could struggle for minutes during the competition after struggling to break into the starting XI and instead being deployed as a makeshift defender.
She boasts 16.7 million followers on Instagram alone.

Regardless of her initial snub, on the platform she revealed she was delighted to receive a call-up.
She wrote: "I couldn't be happier to represent my country at the Euros. I'm so grateful for the opportunity. Let's make Switzerland proud and show how football is growing."
Lehmann was named on the bench for her nation's opening game against Norway in Basel on Wednesday.
She used to date Juventus men's team player Douglas Luiz, having joined him in a stunning double transfer from Aston Villa.
However, in May it was reported they had broken up.
Things had started well for Switzerland in their opening game with Nadine Riesen giving the Swiss a first-half lead.
However, a second-half collapse saw Norway win the clash 2-1, with former Ballon d'Or winner Ada Hegerberg scoring the equaliser before missing a penalty.
An own goal from Julia Stierli before that penalty miss was the decisive blow in the game.
With Finland also beating Iceland 1-0 in the opener, Switzerland currently sit in third in Group A.
Lehmann did not appear off the bench.

Alan Reynolds hopes to keep a hold of Bohemians star despite strong interest from English clubs

ALAN Reynolds is hoping James Clarke will stay at Bohemians until at least the end of the season. Rennie said: 'There's interest in him. But look, he's a Bohs player at the minute, and he will be unless things change, but I haven't heard any differently. 'I suppose it's been tricky for him, at the start of the season, he wasn't in the team and he had to work and be patient and get in. Read more on League of Ireland 'Now he's in the team, there's interest in him. I'd love to keep him, but he's a 24-year-old lad who probably has ambitions of going and playing across the water.' Rennie claimed the club was not under pressure to sell rather than lose him for nothing at the end of the season. He said: 'It depends on what's on offer, isn't it, whether the board feels it's worth cashing in and taking the money, but they don't. "They want James Clarke, they really like James Clarke as a player and would love him to stay beyond, so we'll see what happens in that.' RTE pundit offers optimistic view on growth of women's football amid Euros kick-off Friday's game against St Pat's may come too early for He said: 'Dougie is one we've been looking at a while. Once we were made aware that he was available, it was a no-brainer. He's a really good centre-forward, wants to score goals and is the right age for us. 'I think the big message for us is we're trying to build something. You can see by the age of the signings that we're making. Now, that's not to say we wouldn't sign a 30-plus player for experience but we're trying to build something. And if given time, we feel it'll help everyone.' Lys Mousset fell into the experienced category but the former Premier League striker has left after just one goal, a late winner away to Sligo Rovers. Rennie feels the risk was worth it. He said: 'I think it was, because if it had worked out for everyone…it was great for the league at the time, all the publicity, just getting him fit was the issue. 'Lys struggled to settle, we've struggled to get him fit, get him on the pitch. I think it's probably one that everyone could see happening, let's be honest. 'But he scored a great goal down in Sligo, which I'm delighted we can look back on, that we got three points. It just hasn't worked. And he had a conversation with us to say, 'look, I think it's the right time for us to go'.'

Diogo Jota's classy act of humility left me and my U13s team stunned – he was a credit to his family and football

I CAN'T claim to have known Diogo Jota particularly well. A few post-match interviews, grabbed in mixed zones at Molineux and other grounds. 10 Jota with his family after helping Liverpool win the Premier League title Credit: Instagram 10 Jota died with brother Andre Credit: Instagram 10 Diogo Jota was a man with a big heart everywhere he went 10 He only recently won the UEFA Nations League with Portugal Credit: Getty One or two one-to-one interviews while he was with Wolves. The odd passing nod of the head, handshake, brief cordial greeting if we happened to cross paths. But a few things stood out about the Portuguese striker. His friendly nature, his humility and his kindness shone through. He never treated the media as the enemy as so many modern players do. He was genuinely pleased to share his thoughts with journalists. He was utterly charming. READ MORE IN FOOTBALL I remember him apologising to me for his poor English when we chatted on the pitch after Wolves Europa League tie against Crusaders in Belfast in 2019. I told him, as a Scot, I should be apologising to him because his use of the language was a lot better than mine! I asked him how he had become so fluent, so quickly. He just shrugged and said: "In Portugal , we teach English in school from an early age. I'm not special." Most read in Football 'Heartbroken' Ronaldo leads tributes to Diogo Jota as football mourns Liverpool & Portugal star But he was special. A special player. A special human being. I've coached kids football teams for all of my adult life and my Under-13s had reached a local cup final. It was a big deal for the boys and we wanted to make it a big occasion for them, knowing for many of them, this would probably be as good as it got. We were a village team - Premier League scouts weren't exactly flocking to our games in search of the next I asked Diogo if he would be kind enough to send a short video message to the lads, wishing them luck in their first ever final. He graciously agreed and we showed the team his personal video message in the dressing-room before kick-off. That was nice of him - especially as we went on to win the final 3-2 against a club we'd never beaten before. A couple of weeks later I bumped into Diogo at Wolves' Compton Training Ground. 10 10 "How did your boys do in the final?" he asked me. He was genuinely pleased when I joked that his words of encouragement made the difference between winning and losing. I couldn't believe such a superstar would even remember giving a few seconds of his time to a bunch of kids he'd never even met. But it summed up the man for me - a true gentleman and a credit to himself, his family, his club, his nation and to the game of football. Football can be a cut-throat business at times but Diogo The game will be so much poorer without him and my thoughts are with his family and friends following the loss of Diogo and his brother Andre. "Much more than an amazing player, with almost 50 internationalizations for the National A Team, Diogo Jota was an extraordinary person, respected by all teammates and opponents, someone with an infectious joy and a reference in the community itself. "On my behalf, and on behalf of the Portuguese Football Federation, I express my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Diogo and Andre Silva, as well as Liverpool FC and FC Penafiel, the clubs where, respectively, lined up the players. "The Portuguese Football Federation has already asked UEFA for a minute's silence, this Thursday, before the match of our national team with Spain , in the women's European Championship, lost to two champs. OJ Simpson defence lawyer says Ireland is 'most anti-Semitic country in Europe'

An American lawyer has hit out at Ireland, saying the country made a 'horrible, bigoted, anti-Semitic choice' during the second World War when they chose to stay neutral. Alan Dershowitz is a former Professor of Law at Harvard having obtained his education at Yale. The 86-year-old said that Ireland had 'become the most anti-Zionist, anti-Israel [and] anti-Semitic country in all of Europe.' Pic: GENYA SAVILOV/AFP via Getty Images The defence lawyer for OJ Simpson was on Newstalk Breakfast on Thursday morning discussing the verdict in the racketeering trial of music mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs. Somehow, Dershowitz turned the conversation to anti-Semitism in Ireland, as he hit out at the exportation of singers 'yelling and screaming 'Death, death to the IDF.'' Presenter Ciara Kelly was quick to point out that the music act who had made that chant during Glastonbury was actually a British artist, and clarified Kneecap 'often use the chant, 'Free, free Palestine.'' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Newstalk (@newstalkfm) Ciara said: 'I don't believe for a moment that Irish people believe themselves to be anti-Semitic, but I do believe that they are strongly against Israel's action in general in Gaza. 'Largely because, I think, as a post-colonial state ourselves, I think they identify with the Palestinians greatly.' Dershowitz reiterated his belief that Ireland is 'the most anti-Israel country in all of Europe.' Presenter Ciara Kelly was quick to point out that the music act who had that chant during Glastonbury was actually a British artist, and clarified Kneecap 'often use the chant, 'Free, free Palestine.'' Pic: Newstalk/ Instagram 'There's a long history of anti-Semitism,' the lawyer claimed, 'Ireland is the only country in Europe, Western country, that refused to support the British and American war against Nazism.' Ciara again interjected to explain: 'Ireland was neutral during the Second World War, as were other countries in Europe.' Dershowitz branded the choice as 'outrageous,' adding that Ireland made a 'horrible, bigoted, anti-Semitic choice.' A clip of the interview was shared to Newstalk's social media page with many responding to the conversation and hitting out at the lawyer. One said: 'I'm not sure that a man who was closely associated with Jeffrey Epstein should be lecturing anyone else on morality.' Another praised Ciara, while a third wrote: 'This person is garbage. Irish should not even discuss what comes out of him. 'Proud to be Irish and of Ireland's neutrality.'
