Andhra Pradesh CM to go on surprise inspections after June 12
The detailed project report is ready, and the tendering process will be completed by June 12.
During a review of various government schemes and public feedback on service delivery, Naidu emphasised the need for complete satisfaction with the performance of all departments and public services under his one year of governance.
While some departments have improved, he said, there is still a need to enhance service quality in APSRTC and other departments. On Monday, he assessed feedback collected through IVRS and QR code systems related to ration supply, the Deepam scheme, APSRTC, and Panchayat services at the Secretariat. He discussed the public response with the Chief Secretary and Secretaries in the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
Regarding the Deepam 2 scheme, the Chief Minister announced that the subsidy for three LPG cylinders would be credited to beneficiaries' accounts in one instalment. Beneficiaries can claim the cylinders as needed, but the entire subsidy will be provided upfront. He warned that no agency or intermediary should collect additional money from beneficiaries.
On ration supply, 74% of respondents said they were receiving their rations, and 76% rated the quality as good. West Godavari District recorded the highest satisfaction levels in both distribution and quality.
When asked whether delivery agents demanded money during gas delivery, 62% said no. However, noting that such issues still exist in some areas, Naidu said direct credit of subsidy amounts to beneficiaries' accounts would resolve them.
Regarding APSRTC services, the Chief Minister expressed disappointment with the public satisfaction levels. He directed officials to work more effectively, particularly in improving amenities at bus stations. Dissatisfaction was high regarding drinking water and toilet facilities, with 44% and 55% of respondents, respectively, expressing concerns.

VIJAYAWADA: Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh 20-Point Programme Implementation Committee, Lanka Dinakar, announced on Monday that a detailed review of Central and State welfare schemes in aspirational districts and blocks will be undertaken shortly. Addressing the media at the Secretariat, Dinakar said the review aligns with the Viksit Bharat – Swarna Andhra@2047 vision, aimed at fast-tracking development in the backward regions. He proposed that Sathya Sai, Prakasam, and Annamayya districts be added to the aspirational district list due to their socio-economic challenges. Currently, AP has three aspirational districts—Alluri Sitarama Raju, Parvathipuram Manyam, and Kadapa—and 15 aspirational blocks. He credited the progress made since 2014 to the 'double engine government' led by CM N Chandrababu Naidu and PM Narendra Modi. 'Extreme poverty has dropped from 16.2% in 2011-12 to 2.3% in 2022-23,' he said, attributing this to effective welfare delivery and DBT transfers totalling Rs 45 lakh crore to 55 crore Jan Dhan accounts. Dinakar emphasised the '3Cs' approach, 'Convergence, Collaboration, and Competition', as key to measurable development. He said the State would ensure the timely release of matching grants for central schemes.

Cabinet meeting on July 10 to discuss many key issues
Hyderabad: New Ration cards, market value of the lands, new stamp duty, local body elections, irrigation facility in the kharif season, release of water from Medigadda barrage etc. would be on the agenda in the cabinet meeting convened by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy in the state Secretariat on July 10. Official sources said that the cabinet is likely to take a decision on local body elections as the High Court already directed the government to hold the polls in three months before September. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy would seek the opinion of his cabinet colleagues on local body elections and analyze winning prospects of the Congress in the wake of growing public anger at the government over not fulfilling the many promises except depositing Rythu Bandhu benefits in the farmers' accounts recently. Eyeing to generate more revenues, the cabinet would also review the present market value of the lands and the possibility of the enhancement of the land value and revise the stamp duty. The State Revenue and Stamps and Registration department has already prepared proposals to increase market value of the lands particularly in the ORR 9 Outer Ring Road) limits. The long pending new ration cards distribution would be sorted out in the cabinet meeting. The State Civil Supplies department has begun the official process to issue new ration cards to the applicants. Online and manual applications submitted by the needy were under scrutiny. Sources said that irrigation water for the current farming season and availability of water in Krishna Godavari projects including Kaleshwaram will be discussed in the cabinet meeting. In the wake of strong demand from the farmers for the release of water from Medigadda barrage to meet irrigation needs, officials said that the government will take a call on it in the meeting.

CM for leveraging tech to make AP zero-crime state
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed officials to transform the state into a zero-crime-rate state by leveraging technology. He emphasised that Andhra Pradesh should become a model state in law and order monitoring through effective use of technology. The Chief Minister conducted a review with officials on real-time governance at the Secretariat. He instructed that crime hotspots be continuously monitored through CCTV cameras to control criminal activities. He also directed officials to revise regulations to allow the use of footage from private CCTV cameras, stressing that private cameras should also be leveraged for crime control. He said technology must be used more effectively in cases where individuals commit crimes under the guise of politics. He warned that those who cleverly commit crimes, shift the blame onto the government, and fail to cooperate with the police must be dealt with caution. For such individuals, he suggested invoking the Public Safety Act to collect data from them. The Chief Minister instructed officials to focus on identifying those responsible for such crimes. He also said that in the interest of public safety and crime prevention, the Public Safety Act should be extended to include the collection of CCTV footage from shopping malls, theatres and hotels during investigations. Additionally, the Chief Minister instructed an increase in the use of drones and CCTV cameras across various sectors. He enquired about the progress of the Drone City in Orvakallu. The Chief Minister advised the use of blockchain technology to secure records and data across various government departments. He instructed that revenue records also be thoroughly sanitized and secured entirely using this technology. He emphasised that information from different departments should be integrated through a data lake. He stressed that early warning systems in lightning-prone areas must function efficiently to protect valuable lives. He instructed that sirens be activated in advance in such areas. He also ordered the rapid restoration of physio-meters and sensors to monitor groundwater levels. He directed that data on current water levels in reservoirs, inflows, and the volume of water being discharged into the sea be properly recorded. He noted that flood management could be improved through real-time monitoring of reservoir inflows. The Chief Minister confirmed that all reservoirs in the state are being filled to full capacity due to the current inflows. Further, he stressed that information provided by INCOIS on sea wave activity and areas suitable for fishing must be made accessible to fishermen and residents of coastal regions.
