Wilson, the world No 2, will now play Zhao Xintong in tomorrow's semi-finals.
Reigning world champion Xintong, 28, smashed the Godfather of Chinese snooker Ding Junhui 6-1, opening up with a 134 and sealing it with a 118.

Kettering cueist Wilson, 33, said: 'It's always nice to play in a good style.
'At 2-2, it could have been 4-0 to either player, it went really close.
'When I got 70 in front, Ronnie roared back, got snookers, fought hard.
'I went to the practice room at the break. It was a case of resetting and coming out firing.

West Ham seal one-year deal for former Newcastle striker Wilson
West Ham have signed Callum Wilson on a one-year contract following his departure from Newcastle last month. The 33-year-old was a free agent after being unable to agree a new deal at Newcastle, where he scored 49 goals in 130 appearances across all competitions in five seasons. Injuries and Alexander Isak being Newcastle's first-choice striker restricted Wilson's playing time in the past couple of seasons, and he started just twice in the 2024-25 Premier League campaign. Wilson, who had been linked with a move to newly-promoted Leeds, joins Jean-Clair Todibo, Daniel Cummings, El Hadji Malick Diouf and Kyle Walker-Peters in moving to the London Stadium this summer.
