Keith Urban abruptly ends interview after risqué Nicole Kidman question

Keith Urban's radio interview promoting his upcoming High and Alive World Tour ended abruptly when a personal question about his wife, Nicole Kidman, took things off-track.
The 57-year-old singer called in to Mix 102.3's Hayley & Max in the Morning on July 1 to talk about his tour and share memories of Adelaide. But the chat took a sharp turn when hosts Hayley Pearson and Max Burford introduced their 'Wall of Truth' segment - a game involving awkward, personal questions.
'We often get put into this situation,' Hayley said, 'but I get really uncomfortable asking something a guest might not want to answer.'
Then Max dove into the real question: 'What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having love scenes on TV?' referring to Kidman's 2024 Netflix film A Family Affair.
Seconds later, their Zoom connection dropped. 'He's just disconnected,' someone behind the scenes confirmed. Hayley reacted in disbelief: 'That's 100 percent what just happened. We've upset him! He's gone.'
The co-hosts were left scrambling, unsure whether Urban had ended the call himself or if his team had stepped in. 'He doesn't like talking about his wife,' Hayley said. Max, still surprised, added, 'I thought we were vibing!'
Before things went sideways, Urban had shared excitement about returning to the stage and admitted he still gets nervous before shows, likening the feeling to 'a racehorse kicking the stalls.'
Urban's High and Alive World Tour is set to hit Australia starting mid-August.

'Squid Game' director reveals original ending of final season before reviving player 222

Squid Game director Hwang Dong Hyuk recently revealed that the globally streamed Netflix drama originally had a different finale. In an interview with Joongang Ilbo, he said the first version of the script ended on a more hopeful note, with protagonist Seong Gi Hun meeting Hwang Jun Ho and travelling to the US to see his daughter. Hwang said he changed course after reflecting on present-day global crises. 'I personally started to feel that surviving in this world was becoming increasingly difficult. Inequality is deepening, the threat of war is growing, and yet no one is taking responsibility,' he explained. The director added that stories of extreme wealth, including Jeff Bezos's reported $51.7 million wedding, helped solidify his decision to rework the ending. 'I felt that now is the time for older generations to let go a bit of their growth, development, and desires,' Hwang said, noting that this inspired him to include a child in the final storyline to symbolise future generations. The newly shared version of events has reignited discussion about the show's conclusion and the societal critique embedded within. Hwang's comments offer deeper insight into the intentions behind the darker direction, even if it diverged from what many expected.

Netflix, NASA team up for space content

ISS views will be available on Netflix. Photo: File Streaming giant Netflix said Monday it will soon allow viewers to binge rocket launches and spacewalks through a partnership with US space agency NASA, reported AFP. "Whether you're a die-hard space nerd or someone who just really, really enjoys seeing Earth glow from 250 miles up, the countdown has officially begun," Netflix said in a blog post announcing the new NASA+ feed. Programming will include "jaw-dropping Earth views from the International Space Station (ISS), astronaut spacewalks that make your palms sweat" and rocket launch livestreams, according to Netflix. NASA said its partnership with the entertainment company, which reported over 300 million subscribers in December, aims to "bring space a little closer to home." "Our Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience," wrote Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+. The stream is committed to "inspiring new generations – right from the comfort of their couch or in the palm of their hand from their phone," she added. NASA+ programming will remain free of charge for viewers on the website and the agency's mobile app. Netflix announced a similar partnership with French television group TF1 earlier this month, its first such deal with a major traditional broadcaster anywhere in the world. That programming is slated to launch in summer 2026, giving Netflix subscribers in France access to five TV channels and a streaming platform. The terms of the Netflix deal were not made public, but follow in the footsteps of other partnerships to expand its content offerings. The company entered new territory at the end of 2024 by livestreaming two NFL games and a boxing match between YouTube personality Jake Paul and retired professional boxer Mike Tyson.
