International sales agency REinvent has boarded horror creature feature 'Bone Keeper,' starring John Rhys-Davies, who is best known for portraying Gimli in 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy and Sallah in the 'Indiana Jones' franchise. A promo will be shown to buyers in Cannes.
The film is directed and produced by Howard J. Ford for Latitude Films. The cast also features Sarah Alexandra Marks, Louis James and Tiffany Hannam-Daniels. It is expected to be delivered in the fall this year.

'Bone Keeper' follows six young friends, who enter a remote cave system to investigate the disappearance of several missing persons, only to find themselves being gradually hunted by a mysterious creature that may have inhabited the cave for thousands of years.
The mystery started with a fireball crashing into a remote woodland, awakening a terrifying creature hidden in the depths. Fast forward to 1976, James Wheeler enters a cave determined to uncover the truth – and is never seen again. All that's found is a single frame of Super 8 film, capturing the silhouette of a creature.
In the present day, Wheeler's granddaughter, along with five explorers, sets out to investigate the legend of the 'Bone Keeper.' But as they venture deeper, they realize they are being hunted and the line between hunter and prey begins to blur. Will they uncover the truth and escape the creature – or become the next missing souls?
Ford said: 'I've always been intrigued with caves and caverns and imagined if something lurked down there in the depths, so I am very excited to be making a creature-feature and reuniting with the REinvent team and not least working with the legendary Mr. John Rhys-Davies, who has been an absolute blast.'
The film's VFX supervisor is Giordano Aita.

Billy Joel Says Elton John's Rehab Comments Were ‘Rock Bottom' For Him in HBO Documentary: ‘There Was Bad Blood For a Little While'

Billy Joel is opening up about a tough moment with longtime friend and tourmate Elton John. In the second part of the new two-part HBO Documentary, 'Billy Joel: And So It Goes,' the 'New York State of Mind' singer shared how John's public comments that he needed rehab strained their friendship. 'He chalked it up to, 'Oh, he's a drunk.' And that really hurt me.' He added, 'I said, wait a minute? Don't you know me better than that? And there was bad blood for a little while. There was a dovetailing of things that happened during that time.' Joel and John first co-headlined a stadium together in 1994 during their 'Face to Face' tour. In the first part of the documentary, Joel admitted that he once 'resented' the comparisons to the 'Your Song' singer but eventually grew to embrace it as they continued to perform onstage together. According to People, John told Rolling Stone that they had 'so many cancelled tours because of illnesses and various other things, alcoholism' coming off their joint tour in 2010. John said of Joel in the film, 'He's going to hate me for this, but every time he goes to rehab, they've been light… I love you, Billy, and this is tough love.' In 2005, Joel went to rehab at the Betty Ford Center after his then-wife Katie Lee issued an 'ultimatum.' The couple divorced in 2009. After rehab, the 'Piano Man' singer took a break from the spotlight and stopped touring. In the documentary, Joel described John's comments as making him feel 'clobbered' and noted it was 'rock bottom' for him. 'I was disillusioned with what I thought it was all supposed to mean,' he said. 'It was like all the signs were pointing to me: Enough. And I wrote this letter to the band. 'I don't want to do this anymore. I'm gonna stop.' The second part of 'Billy Joel: And So It Goes' premiered on Friday, July 25. ‘Untamed' Season 2: Everything We Know

Netflix's national parks detective thriller, Untamed, just concluded its first season. The Eric Bana led show was only intended to be a limited series, but fans seem to want more and the creators seem to have more story to tell. Bana stars as Kyle Turner, a man with a nose for criminal cases who makes a living figuring out why people die and disappear in the national parks system. Warning: spoilers for this season's mystery are ahead. Here's what we know so far about a second season of Untamed. Untamed was released as a limited series, meaning Netflix planned for it to be only one season. But that hasn't stopped streaming platforms from continuing a popular singular season show before and it seems like the cast and crew would be interested. 'We spoke about what would happen to Kyle after this, in theory. So you never know,' Bana told Variety. His co-star, Lily Santiago, said she's like a season with 'more solving of murders,' in an interview with TV Insider, adding, 'Honestly, I would love for her to get called up to go to a different place. Bring me to a mountain in Hawai'i. I'm hoping that it's new murder, new location, wilderness challenges, and new things to learn.' Creator Mark L. Smith told Tudum what he's been thinking might be in store for Kyle. 'Instead of Turner being in his element, he'll be in a land where he doesn't understand all the dangers and the risks, and he doesn't understand the people around [him],' he shared. 'He'll be a little bit on his back foot and a little bit unsure, and he'll have to learn as well.' The first season followed National Parks Service's Kyle Turner as he investigates the death of Lucy Cook in Yosemite National Park following her fall from El Capitan. Lucy's death is at first associated with a drug ring inside the park's caves, but Turner thinks there is something even fishier about the situation. He eventually learns Lucy was attacked by her biological father, Chief Paul Souter, who placed Lucy in an abusive foster home when she was a child. The show ends with Souter dying by suicide and a few other dramatic twists—but the case gets closed. Unfortunately, Turner gets suspended from the force and moves out of his home in Yosemite. Co-showrunner Elle Smith said to TV Insider that she has thought about a possible second season and imagines Turner and his partner, Naya, going to a different national park, explaining, 'They travel from park to park and case to case and things like that. So I think that's what was interesting to us, and if we got the opportunity to do it again, it would be getting to explore a different park, a different case.' She added, 'We would do this forever if they let us, but we'll see. We'll see how many adventures Turner has left in him.' It sounds like Eric Bana is down to come back as Turner, though a season in a new park could potentially present new investigators, a la True Detective. But Bana seems like a fan favorite, as was Lily Santiago as Naya. If they do stick together, but head to a new park, there could be an entirely new cast of supporting players. Jessica Alba Looks Smitten on Date Night With New BF Danny Ramirez

Jessica Alba was straight-up glowing like a kid let loose in a candy store on her date night with new flame Danny Ramirez ... and TBH, we're obsessed with this sugar-sweet romance! TMZ got the pics and the clip -- Jessica couldn't wipe that mega-watt smile off her face as she and Danny cruised out of West Hollywood's Alba restaurant (no relation!) Wednesday, looking extra cozy on their romantic date night. Jessica looked totally besotted with the 32-year-old 'Captain America' star -- proof this romance is only going from strength to strength since TMZ dropped the dating bombshell last week. Remember, the pair already had a steamy Cancun getaway -- where they first sparked buzz, and yep, that's where TMZ snagged the very first footage of them together at the airport. Good to see Jessica moving on after her February divorce from Cash Warren -- TMZ broke that one too. The exes share three kids, and sources told us the split was totally drama-free, with both filing for joint custody. Solve the daily Crossword
